Yamaha YZ144 Two-Stroke

if yamaha was as serious about 2 strokes as they claim to be then why the hell havent they made any progress on em in the last 6 years. Ive been a yamaha man my whole life but unfortunatly it looks like my next bike is gonna be a ktm 250sx cuz when your in second place in a 2 man race that aint good, especially when your not even trying to keep up

Not trying to be a dick on here but I heard this kit is not good. Motocross Action did a review on it and on a good day made 2 more horsepower on dyno and the pipe did nothing. The reason why is that this kit is not ported or polished to feed the 144 so it cant produce its full potential nor is the head modded for the higher compression of the 144. I would suggest sending your cylinder to Eric Gore for a 144 big bore where he ports polishes and mods your head for $500. My CR144 is a beast 38hp!!

Sounds like you can't buy a GYTR YZ 144 from a dealer.....you have to buy the 125cc YZ, then the Athena kit.

i have the athena 144 kit on my bike with full pro circuit exhaust.

its petty bad ass. but this bike looks like it has more power.

i knw for sure that gytr exhaust is better and they have all the cluthch comp. etc.

all in all great kit to get! :D
