I tried to take him to Big Ben... but the protesters were being contained on the bridge so we couldn't get across. Somehow i think my friend found the protest far more interesting than a clock lol
I think the trouble is on both sides, at 4:46 you see a protestor get knocked down, then a lady police officer repeatedly asking if she's alright with her hand on her shoulder. The protestors just get carried away, and the anger naturally generated from any protest (tuition fees, cuts, ant-war, anything really!) just takes over, and the primeaval human emotion to want to smash things up and express our anger kicks in.

These protests took place on the eve of my 40th birthday and it made me very very happy to see English youth once again becoming politicised. I feel disgusted to be british. These students are nothing but discusting vile animals. They should be ordered to pay back damages or expelled from there college. How could they call there self british when the deface a war memorial and attack a car with innocent people in it especially when they are royal. Just makes me sick. Wow did you here the children (students) they can make up songs nursery rymes, lol Oh well the students have lost and may that be a lesson to them. Ha ha

@niknak72 if you didnt notice the people who attacked that car one of them looked 40 odd it was probably that anarchy group the police where moaning on about its a shame the police lie about everything like we only charged the students with horses twice then footage leaks showing otherwise and they change their story n they feel the need to beat 11 yr olds and attack pregnant girls with horses and beat a student nearly to death if it where not for the ambulance service who saved him hed be dead

The students started causeing damage and violence and threatening behaviour so the police had to deal with it. @niknak72 When has peaceful protest in the last 20 years changed anything? I don't like to see such violence, but unfortunately the criminals in power only know one language. They use violence all the time. They use extreme force all the time. It is useless trying to reason with them. Useless attempting to persuade them. They have their agenda, and that's that. The backtracking on the fees issue was the last straw for many.
