joe murray will stay with joe gallagher. thats the right decision. you have to question Murray's (John) ambition to leave a top trainer like Gallagher to be trained by your manager? nah I aint having that. John's been very disrespectful to Joe. I used to like Murray but now he's walked back into a world title fight and Joe will get none of the credit if he somehow wins. Out of order.
@oasis4ever92 I heard somewhere that the only reason he decided to come back to joe was because of the long distance he had to travel to train at mikes gym in leeds. But like you said i fink joe must have been extremely hurt especially as he's trained him since he was a kid. Hope both of them can sort out their differences as they got a huge world title fight coming up in December
@bronco200005 totally agree. the way john's been talking it seems like he's reluctantly gone back to joe with his tail between his legs. I mean he's the best chance of beat rios with Joe in his corner but he's got to work harder in training than he did for mitchell. a trainer can only do so much and Murray didnt do enough. I remember a few years ago Murray failed to make weight for a fight against Scott Lawton. Makes you wonder if he'd been out on the piss before that fight too.
@oasis4ever92 yeah i remember that one bro and i was finkin exactly the same thing. A lot of nonsense going on right now with our top british boxers including frankie gavin. kevin mitchell and john. These guys have really got to get serious if they want to make an impact on the world stage which they all are capable of. Huge difference between world level and british/european level so cant afford any slip ups.
@bronco200005 yeah like barry mcguigan said, "gavin will be a world champion but only at light-welterweight". He's not discilplined. He said he'd move back down to 140 but his next fight is at 147 against a former light-middleweight. He can't keep doing this. He's got to get serious. He's a nice kid is frankie but he could waste all his talent. Mitchell a bit different now, but his problems lie away from boxing. There's people like Anthony Crolla and MatthewMacklin who just live boxing non-stop.
If i was a fighter id love to have Joe Gallagher in my corner the guy gives a shit about his fighters and his passion for the sport rages through him. Think Murray will regret the split but if the boozing issues are true Gallaghers better off without a loose cannon. Hatton loved the booze and it never seemed to effect his performances but in the end you wonder how much it had taken out of his body by the time mayweather and pacquaio came along. up and down in weight was always gonna catch him
I think he should have kept his counsel really. Its obvious john murray has commitment issues but its ultimately john murrays choice what he does with his life. It would be good if they could one day settle their differences given their history. I cant fault gallagher for his passion for his job though- its great to see!
Very sad. Be interesting to hear John murrays side of The story but you gotta feel got Joe g. I hope he comes back and wind a world title with one of his guys.
murrays not world class, hes to easy to hit has no power or speed.. he relys on work rate... hes no hatton, his been carried hes whole career.... repects to joe gallagher great trainer how can u leave a gym with the record they had last year wot fall

seems like the ricky hatton/billy graham thing...but at least hatton met up with billy and told him face to face.
macklin came out, told joe why he was leaving to go work with freddie roach.'
john murray's had weight issues in the past..does make you wonder how long he's been going on the piss before fights.
joe gallagher deserves better. and he's got plenty of other fighters like johns brother joe murray, matt macklin, scott quigg, mark heffron ect.
