How can I make FFX run like your speed?

My computer specs are:

AMD Sempron 140 Processor at 2.7 Ghz

1 GB RAM

1024 MB AMD Radeon HD 6450

Windows 7

FFX is running at a low framerate at 30 fps to 50 fps.

And also I am using pcsxe 0.9.8

Hmm i was considering trying to get a FFX pc version and play with pcsx2 but omg it messes up the music etc :o I think I'll just wait for the HD PS3 release coming soon. =/

hey..the pcsx2 0.9.8 tells me to run an .elf file.. how can I do this since I have only an .iso or .bin.... are these 2 useless or do I need to convert it, if so.. then how?

I need some help here! I am not a huge tech guy but as far as I know and can see Elders Scrolls Oblivion looks better even on cosols when compared to Final Fantasy 10. My freind however insists that Final Fantasy 10 on a PC emulator looks better than Oblivion. If someone knows a video relating to this topic of last generations games graphics compared to current gen please send me a link, becuse frankly trying to get this through his head is nearly impossible!!!

This is SO pretty! Mine keeps dropping to 45 FPS and getting all slow-mo and choppy. It's something I can live with, but I wish I didn't have to.

Good vid and it works for me but I have a problem... in some boss battles, the boss simply... gives me his back: some bosses (SPOILER: Yunalesca for example) look in the same direction as me, giving me their backs... it's not very nice. Does anyone have some solution?

Zerogs is the best graphics plugin for FFX. It has a hack to fix the missing geometry

if you dont mind overclocking a

E2160 is a good processor for this

(stock speed 1.8ghz overclock to 3ghz with standerd air cooler just by raising fsb)

it has a normal multiplier of 9

stander fsb 200

200*9=1800

overclocked fsb 333

333*9=2997

its near enough 3ghz

(you can increase it more with water cooling but any higher than his and you will probebly have to increase voltage which is dangerous)

Dude it's supposed to go slow, not fast :( BTW i have like 3 GO RAM and bout 1.73 GHz and my Graphics card has 358 MB RAM. Will it run smoothly with this computer? Also i own Final Fantasy X so how do i get it ripped to play on my Computer (but still playable on the PS2)?

1.73 GHz is not enough, you need atleast a Dual Core 2,4 GHz (like me) but i think it is the minimum.

Yours will run at a perfect 100% speed or greater. My computers just under yours and it can run the game at 120% speed almost all of the time.

yep you need a duo core. Funny duo cores work waaaay better than quads. The emulator was specifically made to run on duo cores which is what all those CPU options are for, they dont work with singles or quads which makes the game way slower.

FFX should run fine on older systems if you use the ZeroGS graphics plugin but it will look like crap (think FFIX graphics, but better textures up close). You'll be stuck with PS2's native rendering resolution of 640x240.

This video is showing how it CAN look with Gsdx using a 1200x800 rendering resolution and pixel shading on a high end system.

avarage fps, on my overclocked athlon 5000+ 2.85 ghz and radeon 3870 512 ddr4, 4gb ram i have 45-70fps with aa x4(w/o aa it looks just terrible)

well.. one thing, sometimes it goes too fast. thats one thing i noticed on most emulators..

check my video out if ya want proof that this is an emulator that can run 100%. Especially FFX because this emulator was specifically designed to run FFX and other top ps2 games at top speed. Because of this, alot of the lesser games you would expect to run better actually run worse.

dude i could use some help , my rig is about the same as yours and it runs just as smooth but my problem is when the screen changes...i mean when a battle starts with the shattering glass and so on it lags it moves slowly until the battle starts , the same thing happens with the exp window it slows down to 2-3 fps's for about 3-4 seconds...is it because i don't have an iso and im playing it directly from the game's DVD?...
