hi, this is a very dangerous technique...if applied suddenly! as the force is going straight against the incoming force. I damaged my spine when my student applied this to me (forgetting my instructions to do it slowly). my L5 was indented (still is) and my professional aikido career (at least re: taking ukemi) was over... now i teach only twice a week to avoid what the doctors claimed would ensue if i continued... i can explain more but the details were not pretty. be careful & best wishes
