Im not subscribiing because you shoot stuff but you do sound like a likeable dude. I understand about you're livestock endangerment and that's why you hunt. I have another solution, set traps, get a wolf or any other predator to you're livestock in one, free it and then theres a good chance it will run away and go find somewhere else to be shot. That way you dont take any responsibility in the extinction =)
i can't believe how close you get 'em! coyotes are a HUGE problem where i'm from (ontario canada) and they attack pets while people are walking their dogs, eat neighbourhood cats, attack livestock and even people! all animals have a place in nature but I'd shoot one if i saw it where I shoot because they're so overpopulated. we barely have any rabbits or other wild animals because there are so many coyotes and they're eating everything. good video!
I understand totally; I hope this explanation helps. We called that cooyote over 2 miles (video cut down from 2 hours to what it is). Our goal is to call them in as close as possible. We shoot them from 10 yards to 350 yards. If you would buy our videos, you would see this. Again, I agree, but we are fair chase hunters that spend tons of time on the outdoors. Coyotes, as we have found, are a problem for farmers & ranchers, and we get numerous calls to help them with this problem. Thanks!
I just did my first animal hunt last year however this tactic angers me quite a bit. I enjoy wildlife and coyotes mean alot to me as a native of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe. I do know that they are hunted and thats not what bothers me. What bothers me is just the pure disrespect and ignorance. Come on anybody can shoot anything that close. I have a problem with all hunters in general as they only hunt around 100 meters. Come on at least put some distance between you and the kill, 400 m or so.
@sgtleroym when you shoot from that close you are basically ensuring a quick clean kill. If you shoot at an animal as far away as what your saying, you really cant guarantee a CLEAN kill, which would lead to the animal; being wounded and running, dragging out its death and putting it through pain. A shot from the distance you are proposing, unless taken with a high powered rifle by someone who has taken those kind of shots before, is the dumb thing to do. 100 m isa perfect shot distance.
@Yonks14 what erks my chain is all the special equipment, calls, lures, bait you guys use to do this, its just a poor image on hunters in general. i could see the challenge and glory if you left your scent blocker at home, or left all your gidgets and gadgets at home. i dont use none of that crap, and if i dont come home with a damn thing during the hunting season, then to me thats creators will and guidance.
@sgtleroym well to each their own. But not everyone likes to come home empty handed!! I think that calling a coyote in with these "gadgets" is a perfectly fine thing to do, your getting him close enough to make a clean kill shot.
@Yonks14 thats the problem with you people, it was like that back when you "settlers" came along and hunted our buffalo. you come and kill every animal you can being wasteful only taking what you want. you have absolutely no other reason to come home with a hunt, you and your family is well stocked up on food. you have no drive to go and bring something home every time. you waste resources. and my point was proven, you dont have the skills and abilities to hunt without gadgets. your weak
@sgtleroym Dude, whats with the "you people" bullshit, and the whole were weak because we use calls? Predator hunting is done with calls bro, dont know how you hunt a coyote. I dont see how we waste resources either, last time I checked hunters and anglers, of all races, are some of the biggest conservationists, its in our best interests not to waste resources, so there is a healthy population of animals to harvest next season.
@Yonks14 Im directing it at you, your wasteful as an individual. saying you cant come come back home empty handed. your not hunting to save nature, your not hunting to feed your family, your hunting for sport and to help your big head and ego. you cant sit here and give me a generic answer that your helping mother earth and your a conservationist. truth is you and people like you are wasteful.
i am not perfect but i dont use toys, or bait or none of that crap, if i come home empty, oh well.
@sgtleroym You dont even fucking know me dude, and your gonna sit here and try to pass judegement on me? For your information, ive never even shot a coyote, or a deer, or a bear, or a duck for that matter. me and my .22 enjoy ridding the fields of groundhogs and thats about it. And I never said that "I",meaning me, cant come home empty handed, i said "not everyone likes to come home emptyy handed" Get your facts straight before you start talkin shit.
@Yonks14 With the degree field I am studying, its fairly easy to see the different types of classes of personalities, and how to trigger responses. take care
@sgtleroym Well then I think you need to do your homework a little better broskie, cause your way off on this one, Maybe less time hittin the peace pipe and more time hittin the books eh haha. Have a good one!
@Yonks14 the first sign of mental inferiority and lack of self discipline. when one feels threatened whether physical or mentally they resort to tools of a common man, name calling. I'm willing to bet you live in a trailer house, that you have problems with your truck and you either dont work or have major dysfunctional issues at work. i wont post again as i am sure someone of your character needs to have a gratifying experience of "having that last word".
@sgtleroym your a class act man. I live in a city, no trailers here, I have two jobs, thats right 2, all while attending college. I dont have problems with my truck, because I dont have one, or a car. When did i ever call you a name? I used the word "fuck" to put emphasis on the topic, hence "you dont even fucking know me" If I was too call you a name I would have said "your a fucker" You're the one that started trashing me bud. Maybe you have the mental inferiority?
@sgtleroym its easy to get within 400 yards. any hunter worth a pinch of coon shit can do that. it takes real skill to close the distances measured in feet, not yards.
@kylecallbeck get off his cock and quit brown nosing. these guys are basically "cheating" by using stupid shit to lure and assist in killing the animal, the same thing with the majority of hunters inside 400 yards, they use a host of tricks and cheats. why dont you fools do it like us. BOWS AND ARROWS, spears, short range and long range shots with no special scents, or tree stands, or lure's (including food), or night vision, or calls, or horns etc. Get the point? Me all my shots are 800+
@sgtleroym 800+ with your bow and spear eh? sorry buddy but chuck fucking norris couldnt pull that off.
i have a bow myself, so you cant tell me its easier to spot and stalk an elk to 33 yards (been there, done that) as opposed to taking potshots across the section at animals of any kind, with a bow or rifle.
@kylecallbeck potshots huh, its a little more complicated than that when you start exceeding 800 meters. and i am talking about hunting with a bow and a spear. making kills at 5 to 15 yards with a 90 percent failure rate. thats hunting. that also gives you quite a rush, different from other methods. you cheerio box hunters use all your little toys to hunt and its despicable. scents, bait, huts, calls, night vision, traps etc.
@sgtleroym whatever you say pal. dont try to pull the holier than thou shit on me. if thats how you like to hunt go for it. but dont come on here and bash the rest of us who use methods and tactics that differ than yours. sure food plots and electronic calls and high fence "hunts" are probably unfair advantages, but i dont make the rules. if you dont like the vid, then move on. its youtube, there has to be something on here you like.
But why do you go out and shoot coyotes? I mean you don't eat 'em right? And they're not exactly a pest or something. I mean, I love hunting and I love shooting, but I only ever things for a good reason. Or are they out there in plague proportions? I'm just asking, because a lot of really moronic hunters achieved the great goal of getting wolves extinct here in middle to northern Europe and that is just fucking weak...
@3vegemite Great question & thanks for asking. Coyotes are a problem where I am from, for farmers and ranchers. Like many wild animals, they spread disease, but more important, they ravage live stock and pets. Generally, we hunt on land that farmers and ranchers ask us to help them with, to help keep the predation population down, thus increasing the return on their live stock investment. We try to help balance it out, here (which a lot of people do not agree with, we know). Thanks!
@remplate Thank you very much for your reply. It's always nice to see people who share the passion of hunting, but are doing it responsibly and also in a fair game way. What a lot of people don't realise is that it takes a fair bit of skill and can be such a wonderful experience to go hunting. I think it just brings you really, really close to nature and it's original ways. And it can be a wonderful experience to be out there even without even taking a shot. You have a good philosophy there, Sir
@3vegemite we would never want to decimate the population of any wild animal, knowing that it takes all of us to make the wheels of nature turn. Please know this! We are in the outdoors a lot, and many times, animals are shot with a camera and not a gun. We enjoy the outdoors and hope others enjoy and protect it also.
Yeah, coyotes are a huge varmint problem, especially in rural areas. I had a local pack of them eat my white kitten a couple weeks ago, so this is where hunting is good. Where it's not good however, is like flying down to africa going way out into the bush and killing some exotic animal like a kudu or something that meant no harm to you
@3vegemite Coyotes are not even close to becoming endangered, the are very common although generally very elusive. Even within huge urban cities like Los Angeles there are coyote populations, and they have been known to kill small dogs, cats, livestock, and on rare occasions even people. One instance that comes to mind is of an attack near Vancouver, Canada where a pack of coyote killed a woman a few years ago. People hunt them for pelts, sport, and to protect livestock here in the Midwest.
@3vegemite Yes,they are pests. They overrun areas & displace other animals native to the area. For example, coyotes are not native east of the Mississippi River but I have seen them daily in Western Tennessee where I live. In the US,we no longer hunt animals to extinction. The idea since 1900 has been to manage their numbers to what the habitat can support in a healthy manner, meaning, there is enough for them to eat with no animal going hungry because there are too many of them.
@3vegemite You want wolves extinct in your area trust me. Your good intentions would just get people killed, which is why they were eliminated in the first place
Lmfao@jonthedoors, you are not a lawyer, you look like your 14 kid lmfao u must have alot of time on your hands to constantly talk shit on youtube, and your telling him to get a job lmfao are you even old enough to work yet haha, your arguing who's army Is better? Least their fighting for something like YOUR freedom instead of hidding behind their computer screens you ingorant fuck, don't watch videos of your gonna cry like a tree hugging pussy
@dakAtajames27 Thanks for the support. You said everything I was thinking, but felt I needed to try and keep a civil tone...although my blood pressure was thru the roof for a time. Then I figured out he was not worth the effort. Some people that demand respect for no reason, never seem to give any. Thanks again. BTW, this was a 5 foot shot, after calling him in from over 1.5 miles.
@remplate Yeah, it's just very sad to see a lot of trophy hunters out there, who are just interested in being able to nail some other fur to their wall, for their friends to see. We used to have quite a nice bear and wolf population here in souther Austria, but nowadays there are no wolves and (I kid you not) about a handful of bears left. But also here in the old countries lots of their natural habitat is already gone (too much houses). Thanks again for your answer.
@remplate I think that kid that was whining was AT LEAST 15 lmao. Keep up the good callin. This video is a great example of how much fun coyote hunting with a partner can be. AWEOME!
@jonthedoors by the way perhaps you need to do some reading. Brits have tried or been in India, Pakistan, Austrailia...criminy...you are the pot calling the kettle black. Done with this kindegarten crap with you, troll. Go get a job and contribute to society. I have to get back to work.
@jonthedoors ...you do not intimidate me in the least. And we would wipe the map with your so called army...that is just a fact. I am not a war advocate; don't want wars, not trying to start one. What you have to say about my balls just justifies what most on here are thinking about you, so thanks for that. Call me whatever you want...you won't stop me from doing anything. You are a gnat on society; youtube is the only place people like you have any sort of courage...keep swinging.
I am going to delete a ton of these comments; not because they are negative to me (I can take that) but because they have no point with the terrible language and sexual overtones. Please remember there are kids that watch stuff here too, so please, hack on me with a point and clean language (again, I can take it), but keep it clean for the kids that may watch. Thank you for helping me with this.
@jonthedoors Not that I have to defend myself, but we have 200 on tape, and that is the closest. The whole point was calling one in that close, not the kill. I am in the outdoors all the time, and 99% of the time all I do is call animals to the camera (or to my boots) and shoot them with a camera, to prove how close I can get them. It takes way more skill to do that than any shot (5 feet to 500 yards). That was the point...the point you can't defend.
I have a 22-250 as well, great coyote/ground hog gun, nice shooting lmao, but for the ignorant kid trying to prove something, you sound like a DUMBASS, you have no idea how hard or the patience needed to call in or even hunt one of these animals, but once again man nice shootin happy huntin
Hey lilmachias.... have you ever seen a pack of coyotes eat a new born baby calf just as it is being born. Or a pack of coyotes eat the same momma from the back end as she is giving birth to that calf??? NO!!! These coyotes are cruel and have no sympathy for other animals. So go watch Jersey Shore or another Obama speech and quit showing your ignorance by making stupid comments on coyote hunting videos.

@lilmachias2712 I have 3 things to say: One, please attemt to not prove your ignorance to kids watching, by your litany of swearing (use your head). Two, don't watch it if that is not your thing. I am sorry that my video offended you. Three, you have no idea what coyotes do to the livestock of farmers around here. We are asked to help, and we do. I have no problem you disagreeing; I am sure I don't approve of all your activities, but I don't sit in my glass house and throw stones, genious!
I hate how so many people are against killing these damned things, i can't believe how much they've hurt the pheasant, grouse, and even rabbit populations we even find chewed up whitetail fawns in the spring
@Xstephen5545312X Finally someone who states this logically. But yes, there is a reason these things are called vermin and pests. They are critical to the ecosystem but theres too much of a good thing.
great video .. . some people dont seem to get how smart coyotes .. . lol they must think you just carry a bag of dog food with you and they come running without a care in the world .. . what a bunch of dip shits .. . great video
@elkaholic06 I agree. Thanks for the support. Seems that those of us in the outdoors need to stick together. No worries, when the war comes to us, everyone will stand behind us as we fight for them. Peace.
impressive! I can't believe you got him that close! why didn't you just strangle him?!!?! lol...why waste the bullets and if you can get him that close, no need for a gun! great video! what call were you using?
Killing coyotes to control their numbers is counter-productive. Females will respond by having larger litters (up to 8 pups, as opposed to just 1-3 in areas where they aren't hunted). A mom with more mouths to feed is more likely to take risks and encroach on human areas (and livestock) to get enough food for her pups.
yes is is like a smaller version of a wolf less harmful to people but is detrimental to livestock like sheep cows etc. they can become a huge problem if the numbers arnt controlled buy hunting
there are not to Many in the fact that they over run farms but we hunt them because they attack our free range cattle and sheep (At least where i'm from). when they horas the free range animals we loose a lot of money, not only from death of the live stock but when the animals are stressed the will not produce as well as the should, and the community i live in depends greatly on income from our livestock ,thanks for being kind with your question
@mattspades REALLY? Ever call one that close? That is our goal to get them as close as possible. this hunt was cut down from an hour to about what you saw, so believe me, there IS game on this. The shot could have happened at any point other than when the coyote went behind some rocks. It was called in from a long distance, with patience and sport. Try and do this yourself some time; only try it with 4 people with you (2 hunters, 2 cameras). Very dificult.
@remplate if he knew anything about hunting, it doesnt matter the distance. but the closer it is, the easier and more accurate you can be to make a quick and effective shot to the vitals.
@mattspades thats hunting if i didnt know that before, thats a combination of skill and luck, if this guy has been in the field long enough for a coyote to come in this close im sure hes taken long shots. gtfo
Nice video man... you kept your cool when things were getting intense. nicely done!! Hope your not getting all worked up over some of these guys comments. everybody has something to say it seems like. If you get a chance check out a couple of coyote hunts me and my cuz recorded. Search "Critter Gettirs" and you should find em. thanks
@robinofthewest.... go screw yourself i mean honestly and this coming from a country boy or a stupid backwoods redbneck to you and if hunting offends you then u must be a vegeterian
I love when the hunter turns around at the camera and shows his face. To me, he looks like a complete retard, a total mentally retarded redneck piece of shit. He's the sort of idiot who failed kindergarten because he pooped his pants and half his brain was missing. What sort of CREEP smiles at the camera right after taking the life of a beautiful wild dog that is 50 IQ points smarter than he is? AN INBRED!!!!!
@PEPSECAN1 I appreciate the support, but I believe everyone has the right to their opinion. Whereas I disagree with lot's of these comments, I respect them and expect respect from them. This is where it gets hairy, because the folks who disagree with me, do not respect my opinion at all. That is all this is.
@RobinOfTheWest lol you care about coyotes haha.. what a dumb ass.. you obviously live somewhere that does not have coyotes. and you dont care about my soul but you care about a coyote.. wow so a coyote is more important than a human. i bet everyone hates you lol i mean i bet if you moved to Guymon Oklahoma where i live you would get your ass kicked everytime you open your mouth :)
@RobinOfTheWest coyotes kill baby deer and are an actual problem in some areas. you clearly have no idea what your talking about and you never hunted so just shut up your being an idiot. i hunt and i love it an amazing sport i eat everything i kill wether its a deer, turkey whatever its fun dont hate it if u never have done it.
I think you are making a bigger deal out of this than need be. Yes, he killed and animal. That's about it. Now to you that may have been morally wrong, but posting, not one, but MANY comments criticising it isn't going to change anything. Now im not saying what he did was right or wrong, but what you're doing isn't helping. If you have the time to watch and then critisise other people's hunting videos, and you strongly dislike hunting, join Greenpeace and make a difference.
@RobinOfTheWest I know you don't agree with me. I know there will be a judgement day and I am prepared for that. Did not shepards defend their flocks, by killing wolves and predators? We have farmers beg us to come out and take care of predator issues, in the defense of their livelihood. I see your point, adn I see my point, and have come to the conclusion you just don't care about my side, which I can live with. Please keep your language clean too if you want others too.
@RobinOfTheWest you have to understand that hunting isnt just about killing animals. some hunters are just trophy hunters. they would shoot a deer, cut the head off, and use nothing else. some hunters shoot animals that are endangering the population or safety of other animals. too many of a good thing can even be a bad thing. and then there are hunters that use whatever they can of what they shoot. the second and third types are acceptable to me, but not the first. so please, dont tell us
@RobinOfTheWest boohoo, when it comes to judgement day and you havent done enough good deeds to impress god, are you going to tell him "I didnt do much in life because I spent my time arguing with randoms on youtube about hunting." grow up man
@RobinOfTheWest your not looking at the big picture here... if people dont shoot game like coyotes and other predators, they would eventually overpopulate and destroy the next animal that is lower than them (aka their prey) on the food chain. so you would rather have animals like coyotes die in the masses of starvation from depleting their food than have a few die instantly and without pain and the rest have plenty of food and land to live on. now thats wrong
Like so many others who claim that coyotes need to be controlled, you don't know what you are talking about. When food supplies drop, fewer pups are born in following years which controls coyote populations. Nature knows what it is doing,
When you kill off coyotes, rabbit and rodent populations increase. And cows don't eat them. do they ?
I don't know what you do for a living, but I have spent most of my adult life trying to do what I believed was the right thing - serving my country in the military - developing clean sustainable energy - designing solar efficient homes - co-founding a Habitat For Humanity chapter ...
Does that sound like an evil person ?
And I didn't need God to tell me it was the right thing to do, some things are self apparent.
@RobinOfTheWest I am trying to answer your questions on yuor You Tube area but it is not alowing me to. I was not going to slam you or anything, just answer yuor questions. this is just the wrong format in my opinion to go back and forth. I will try again from a different compuuter.
RobinOfTheWest:..referring to our conversation; you dont know what you're talking about when you say that less pups are born when food decreases. there isnt just some magic juice that pops into their brain and screams "STOP MAKING BABIES!!!". the coyotes are just like every other creature, we all have hormones that activate to motivate us creatures to mate (so the creature makes as many offspring as it can to try to further expand its species' population).
I don't practice any religion in particular because they are all hypocritical, but I have a very strong sense of right and wrong - and that didn't happen overnight..
Every one claims to want peace, love.and happiness - then they go to war because of your God is not their God and their God is the right God - and on their side..
I respect that you believe in God.
What would it take to get you to reconsider - that maybe what you are doing isn't what he would want ?
@labartic He's having a bitch fit because he's forgetting where food comes from. Humans are part of natural selection as well as them, they attack as well as us. Plus the fact they are one of the biggest killers of pets in America. Look at California for example, you have to be very careful about letting your dog outside unattended.
@RobinOfTheWest Iam not trying to be your friend. All I have tried to say is that I respect your opinion. That is it. Have you read the Bible? David defended his flock of sheep by killing wolves, etc. We help local farmers; we do. I fully expect comments, and again respect them. I don't take threats lightly, or respect them. I am a Christian; do not judge me. I answer to God, not you.
@RobinOfTheWest If it offends you, why do you watch? The title clearly states: "Coyote Hunting Coyote Overdose". What were you expecting to see, a group of seniors sewing? Instead of watching youtube vids, go back to drinking your herbal teas.
@RobinOfTheWest Funny how you say what effect this will have on kids, i am a kid myself(well 15, but still young), and i love watching Hunting videos, but have never been out hunting yet. All of you guys with these negative comments should stop and think before posting about how you dont like hunting, or how it offends you. If you dont like them, then why the fuck are you watching them?
@RobinOfTheWest How bout you just shut the fuck up an mind your own damn buisness. Motherfucker i can curse all i want, and honestly you have no fucking control over what i say. And i actually have a life, unlike you. Yeah i sit on youtube watching hunting videos, but thats just to teach me more about the skill, and different hunting techniques. Think before you post dumb ass.
@RobinOfTheWest u really think this guy shouldnt post these vids cuz of how they affect YOU? if ur that weak and pathetic that a video on the internet offends you then dont watch it. as far as kids viewing the video, there is far worse stuff out there and it is up to the parents to control what their kids r doing on the internet.
@RobinOfTheWest Lol ur hilarious, but seriously tho, that thing could attack your kids, and guess what, still a liberal? its gonna happen regardless. its life, live with it.
But seriously though - you are ignorant and you don't know what you are talking about - like so many others who need a reason to rationalize their killing.
Go to Iraq or Afganistan - and if you come back, you can tell me how much you enjoyed it.

@Yonks14 the first sign of mental inferiority and lack of self discipline. when one feels threatened whether physical or mentally they resort to tools of a common man, name calling. I'm willing to bet you live in a trailer house, that you have problems with your truck and you either dont work or have major dysfunctional issues at work. i wont post again as i am sure someone of your character needs to have a gratifying experience of "having that last word".
sgtleroym 8 months ago
@sgtleroym your a class act man. I live in a city, no trailers here, I have two jobs, thats right 2, all while attending college. I dont have problems with my truck, because I dont have one, or a car. When did i ever call you a name? I used the word "fuck" to put emphasis on the topic, hence "you dont even fucking know me" If I was too call you a name I would have said "your a fucker" You're the one that started trashing me bud. Maybe you have the mental inferiority?

@sgtleroym its easy to get within 400 yards. any hunter worth a pinch of coon shit can do that. it takes real skill to close the distances measured in feet, not yards.
amazing vid, by the way!
kylecallbeck 8 months ago
@kylecallbeck get off his cock and quit brown nosing. these guys are basically "cheating" by using stupid shit to lure and assist in killing the animal, the same thing with the majority of hunters inside 400 yards, they use a host of tricks and cheats. why dont you fools do it like us. BOWS AND ARROWS, spears, short range and long range shots with no special scents, or tree stands, or lure's (including food), or night vision, or calls, or horns etc. Get the point? Me all my shots are 800+
sgtleroym 8 months ago
@sgtleroym 800+ with your bow and spear eh? sorry buddy but chuck fucking norris couldnt pull that off.
i have a bow myself, so you cant tell me its easier to spot and stalk an elk to 33 yards (been there, done that) as opposed to taking potshots across the section at animals of any kind, with a bow or rifle.
kylecallbeck 8 months ago
@kylecallbeck 800+ with a rifle yah nit wit, and try hunting without your special scents, calls or bait.
sgtleroym 8 months ago
@kylecallbeck potshots huh, its a little more complicated than that when you start exceeding 800 meters. and i am talking about hunting with a bow and a spear. making kills at 5 to 15 yards with a 90 percent failure rate. thats hunting. that also gives you quite a rush, different from other methods. you cheerio box hunters use all your little toys to hunt and its despicable. scents, bait, huts, calls, night vision, traps etc.
sgtleroym 8 months ago

3vegemite 1 year ago
@3vegemite Great question & thanks for asking. Coyotes are a problem where I am from, for farmers and ranchers. Like many wild animals, they spread disease, but more important, they ravage live stock and pets. Generally, we hunt on land that farmers and ranchers ask us to help them with, to help keep the predation population down, thus increasing the return on their live stock investment. We try to help balance it out, here (which a lot of people do not agree with, we know). Thanks!
remplate 1 year ago 3
@remplate Thank you very much for your reply. It's always nice to see people who share the passion of hunting, but are doing it responsibly and also in a fair game way. What a lot of people don't realise is that it takes a fair bit of skill and can be such a wonderful experience to go hunting. I think it just brings you really, really close to nature and it's original ways. And it can be a wonderful experience to be out there even without even taking a shot. You have a good philosophy there, Sir
3vegemite 1 year ago
@remplate Isn't it true they seem to be mixing with wolves lately and getting a bit vicious towards people as well?
cesar10022 1 year ago
@3vegemite we would never want to decimate the population of any wild animal, knowing that it takes all of us to make the wheels of nature turn. Please know this! We are in the outdoors a lot, and many times, animals are shot with a camera and not a gun. We enjoy the outdoors and hope others enjoy and protect it also.
Thanks again.
remplate 1 year ago
@3vegemite
Yeah, coyotes are a huge varmint problem, especially in rural areas. I had a local pack of them eat my white kitten a couple weeks ago, so this is where hunting is good. Where it's not good however, is like flying down to africa going way out into the bush and killing some exotic animal like a kudu or something that meant no harm to you
SinsChannel 11 months ago
@3vegemite Coyotes are not even close to becoming endangered, the are very common although generally very elusive. Even within huge urban cities like Los Angeles there are coyote populations, and they have been known to kill small dogs, cats, livestock, and on rare occasions even people. One instance that comes to mind is of an attack near Vancouver, Canada where a pack of coyote killed a woman a few years ago. People hunt them for pelts, sport, and to protect livestock here in the Midwest.
Mojo3192 10 months ago
@3vegemite Yes,they are pests. They overrun areas & displace other animals native to the area. For example, coyotes are not native east of the Mississippi River but I have seen them daily in Western Tennessee where I live. In the US,we no longer hunt animals to extinction. The idea since 1900 has been to manage their numbers to what the habitat can support in a healthy manner, meaning, there is enough for them to eat with no animal going hungry because there are too many of them.
doughesson 9 months ago
@3vegemite You want wolves extinct in your area trust me. Your good intentions would just get people killed, which is why they were eliminated in the first place

Please remember there are kids that watch stuff here too, so please, hack on me with a point and clean language (again, I can take it), but keep it clean for the kids that may watch. Thank you for helping me with this.
remplate 1 year ago
@jonthedoors Not that I have to defend myself, but we have 200 on tape, and that is the closest. The whole point was calling one in that close, not the kill. I am in the outdoors all the time, and 99% of the time all I do is call animals to the camera (or to my boots) and shoot them with a camera, to prove how close I can get them. It takes way more skill to do that than any shot (5 feet to 500 yards). That was the point...the point you can't defend.

Killing coyotes to control their numbers is counter-productive. Females will respond by having larger litters (up to 8 pups, as opposed to just 1-3 in areas where they aren't hunted). A mom with more mouths to feed is more likely to take risks and encroach on human areas (and livestock) to get enough food for her pups.

there are not to Many in the fact that they over run farms but we hunt them because they attack our free range cattle and sheep (At least where i'm from). when they horas the free range animals we loose a lot of money, not only from death of the live stock but when the animals are stressed the will not produce as well as the should, and the community i live in depends greatly on income from our livestock ,thanks for being kind with your question

Assuming that there is a judgment day - what are you going to tell God when he asks why you killed his animals - that it was fun ?
Just so we are straight on this, I don't really give a shit about your soul, but when you kill something for fun, you are less than an animal.
RobinOfTheWest 1 year ago
@RobinOfTheWest I know you don't agree with me. I know there will be a judgement day and I am prepared for that. Did not shepards defend their flocks, by killing wolves and predators? @RobinOfTheWest you have to understand that hunting isnt just about killing animals. some hunters are just trophy hunters. they would shoot a deer, cut the head off, and use nothing else. some hunters shoot animals that are endangering the population or safety of other animals. too many of a good thing can even be a bad thing. and then there are hunters that use whatever they can of what they shoot. the second and third types are acceptable to me, but not the first. so please, dont tell us
JgGooden 1 year ago
@RobinOfTheWest boohoo, when it comes to judgement day and you havent done enough good deeds to impress god, are you going to tell him "I didnt do much in life because I spent my time arguing with randoms on youtube about hunting." grow up man

Having given the matter some thought, I want to apologize for saying that I would kill you - under the defined circumstances.
Not because I fear repercussions from you, your readers, Youtube or anyone else. but because it was the wrong thing to do.
But, I stand by my conviction that killing anything for sport is wrong and deriving pleasure from killing is reprehensible.
RobinOfTheWest 1 year ago
@RobinOfTheWest your not looking at the big picture here... if people dont shoot game like coyotes and other predators, they would eventually overpopulate and destroy the next animal that is lower than them (aka their prey) on the food chain. so you would rather have animals like coyotes die in the masses of starvation from depleting their food than have a few die instantly and without pain and the rest have plenty of food and land to live on. now thats wrong
californiadreamerkid 1 year ago
Like so many others who claim that coyotes need to be controlled, you don't know what you are talking about. When food supplies drop, fewer pups are born in following years which controls coyote populations. Nature knows what it is doing,
When you kill off coyotes, rabbit and rodent populations increase. And cows don't eat them. do they ?
RobinOfTheWest 1 year ago
I don't know what you do for a living, but I have spent most of my adult life trying to do what I believed was the right thing - serving my country in the military - developing clean sustainable energy - designing solar efficient homes - co-founding a Habitat For Humanity chapter ...
Does that sound like an evil person ?
And I didn't need God to tell me it was the right thing to do, some things are self apparent.

RobinOfTheWest:..referring to our conversation; you dont know what you're talking about when you say that less pups are born when food decreases. there isnt just some magic juice that pops into their brain and screams "STOP MAKING BABIES!!!". the coyotes are just like every other creature, we all have hormones that activate to motivate us creatures to mate (so the creature makes as many offspring as it can to try to further expand its species' population).
californiadreamerkid 1 year ago
I don't practice any religion in particular because they are all hypocritical, but I have a very strong sense of right and wrong - and that didn't happen overnight..
Every one claims to want peace, love.and happiness - then they go to war because of your God is not their God and their God is the right God - and on their side..
I respect that you believe in God.
What would it take to get you to reconsider - that maybe what you are doing isn't what he would want ?
Your salvation ?
RobinOfTheWest 1 year ago
youre funny, you talk about people who go to war as being bad, but you were in the military LOL supporting the war.
What great evil is it to shoot an animal? You know animals dying from a gun shot is a lot less painful than being eaten alive?
Not to mention its normal to kill off predators like coyotes so the population of other animals doesnt get ruined

@labartic He's having a bitch fit because he's forgetting where food comes from. Humans are part of natural selection as well as them, they attack as well as us. Would you like to see some of the hate mail I am getting from kids who have seen your video and others I have commented on ?
Do you think I like this ?
RobinOfTheWest 1 year ago
I have nothing against you personally, as you said we don't know each other, but you kill animals, video tape it and brag about it on Youtube.
Do you believe in a day of judgment.?
What are you going to say to St. Peter when he asks why you killed God's animals ?
That your neighbors asked you to ?
I don't think he is going to buy that..

God gave man dominion over all the earth, including its animals, its no big deal

Your videos are offensive to me and you just stated that you intend to put more of them up.
That is NOT going to make me your friend.
Have you thought about the effect these videos have on kids ?
When you put "crap" like this online you have to expect comments like this.
RobinOfTheWest 1 year ago
@RobinOfTheWest Iam not trying to be your friend. All I have tried to say is that I respect your opinion. That is it. Have you read the Bible? David defended his flock of sheep by killing wolves, etc. We help local farmers; we do. I fully expect comments, and again respect them. I don't take threats lightly, or respect them. I am a Christian; do not judge me. I answer to God, not you.

@74bowhunter
Is that going to make people realize that killing for sport is wrong ?

I hope you find something more useful to do with your life.
You can start by cleaning up your language.

Too bad your parent don't care enough about you to do that.

@RobinOfTheWest Lol ur hilarious, but seriously tho, that thing could attack your kids, and guess what, still a liberal? its gonna happen regardless. its life, live with it.

@hi5534
But seriously though - you are ignorant and you don't know what you are talking about - like so many others who need a reason to rationalize their killing.
Go to Iraq or Afganistan - and if you come back, you can tell me how much you enjoyed it.
