  • Absolutely marvellous!!! Great players!!! :)

  • espiritual =)

  • As both a guitarist and bouzouki player (and a piper) I can certainly understand how Rueben's playing may not be everyone's cup of tea, but one thing to keep in mind is that he is Asturian, not Irish, and the Asturian rhythms are what influence him first and foremost. He also tends to prefer zouk to guitar and so he brings some guitar sensibilities to his playing. I wouldn't play the same way, but it certainly works and he and Jarlath are both top class musicians and they rocked this night!

  • everytime i see this i don't know if i have to give it completely up or....try harder!! I've nver seen anything like this before..!

  • No question the bozouki player's got chops. I just HATE that style...countermelodies are where it's at when it comes to accompanying tunes with that instrument. Alec Finn does it as it should be done - nuff said!

  • squsing reed

  • Jarlath kicks ass...but I'm NOT a fan of the bouzouki playing. You may as well be playing a guitar if you're going to thrash out chords like that...listen to Alec Finn for a much better example of bouzouki accompaniment!

  • @deslm But he's a great bouzouki player!

  • Thanks for the post. Jarlath is a very talented piper and his piping is highly appreciated. Thanks.

  • eso es musica clasica o huaino

  • Thanks for posting this! Jarlath is an outstanding piper, top notch!
