Well, I'm blind, so I can say that I'm warned as to what to listen for when it is backing up. Now, how does it sound when going forward? And even though I travel with my Guide Dog, we both still have to pay close attention. Any sounds are fine as long as I can hear them. Thanks.

Yes, of course. GM would go out of their way to bash a competitor publicly and explicitly by making a fake video, that makes complete sense. No you idiots, that really is the sound the Nissan Leaf makes when it is in reverse. They are simply highlighting electric vehicles, like the Volt. They aren't saying the Leaf is good or bad, they are just pointing out other vehicles in the market that share GM's mission to promote Green Energy, environmental responsibility and such. It's a PR move for GM.

this video isnt fake you tards, its the VSP (Vehicle Sound for Pedestrians) so that blind and old people can hear it when its travelling at low speeds. Try and do a little more research before you start to slam another car company

For one thing the name of the uploader is "GMVolt", obvious much? someone prob. working for GM is trying to make Nissan look bad because they know the Leaf will be more successful. This video is fake for people that cannot figure it out by themselves. The video owner's name should have gave it away, nonetheless his own channel if you checked it out. "GMVolt"... It shows in his channel he is working for GM by spreading the word to help their company make an electric car. In donig this video, they tried turning heads against the Nissan LEAF.

@JaredDMusic Actually no, this is true, legislation said that their car has to make some sort of noise, so Nissan made it sound something easy for the visually impaired to hear, they did several studies it was a noise they chose.

Why are the break lights on when it is going in reverse? The reverse lights should be lit, they are not. Seems fake to me.

@chuffpdx It you watch closely you can see the brake lights go out at ~7 sec. Focus on the light in the spoiler. Dunno why they are on when it first starts moving - maybe she's riding the brake? The backup lights are also on the entire time, just hard to see because of the daylight. Google a pic of the car's rear and you'll see what I mean.
