  • Peugeot still make cars?!

  • Terrible in the snow though :0

  • Complaining about the seat's adjustments is just ridiculous. How often do you adjust the seats? Once, maybe twice? I think people like you have a certain responsibility to explain what the alternative would be, and that's electric seats, heavy heavy electric motors that add unnecessary weight. I don't want those, weight ruins everything and I think if more people understood this they wouldn't want electric seats either. Poor form.

  • 1:28? Not everyone follows the herd and buys an iphone 4

  • What is he on about, bouncing up and down on the boot ruins the suspension.

  • Every BMW should have power driver seats. Ridiculous

  • the mans obsessed with glove boxes and big bottles! still love the reviews though all on HD too good work!

  • If you realy want a BMW suv, then just buy the X5 ;)

new X3 is fine, but it still is 'just' the little brother of the X5

  • i don't care what car matt reviews. I just like the way he does it!

  • 47 miles per gallon??? whatever.

  • This looks like a much better car than the last one. But there is no way I would waste my hard earned money on a crossover, they are useless as 4x4s and they do not handle as well as cars either. If you are going to build a 4x4 build a good one, if you are going to build a car build a good one, but one vehicle cannot excel at both.

  • "Use it a s a bench" yeesss beeench

  • Whether the seats or models, he always finds a way to use the word redundant haha

  • I cringe everytime people refer to seats as 'chairs'.

  • BMW X3 is another example of pure car rubbish, that most German manufacturers make throughout 2 last decades: big crossovers, medium crossovers, small crossovers. Besides, I can't stand on thing: their fucking greed about car options. A consumer has to pay for every useful thing and premium cars are not the exception. You brits, make better cars packing them more than those Germans.

  • Excellent review, but could you please be more realistic when testing the rear centre seat? Most people do not sit with their knees and feet together, but rather shoulder-width apart. Please report whether it's possible/comfortable to sit with your legs on either side of the hump. Thanks.

  • 3:21, Fast Forward much??

  • Comment removed

  • the X3 is rather Xpensive. lol

  • Mat is sexy.

  • the engine on the 2010-present BMW X3

    Engine

    3.0L I6 (240 HP)

    3.0L Twin Turbo I6 (300 HP)

    2.0L Diesel I4 (184 HP)

  • can you make a review on the x1 please. i have to choose between the 1 series and the x1 (i know there's a big price difference) and i dont know which one to go for

  • true, it does make the x5 redundant.

  • I wouldn't pack furniture if I had this car, it would mess with the beige leather!

  • I thought he was going to say "The boot is massive, there's easily enough room for a whole family to fit in it"

  • I really like the new x3 it is now not for people who cant afford x5, but a properly good SUV.

  • @servo140 totally agree man! mine is coming next week!! you just gotta get the M package!

  • how come European cars get better mpg???? than the ones they sale here in the US!!

  • @nature10879 because the US gallon is smaller than the UK (Imperial) gallon. Hence less miles per US gallon ;)

  • @nature10879 and gas sold in the us has smaller octane level .. which means it burns faster

  • Mat you are so good at your job. I hope your bosses read all the comments here and remunerate you accordingly. Thank you for pointing out all the pros and cons so well. The editing in all the videos is flawless. That shirt is excellent and the pants too. However, for SUVs perhaps you should wear football or tennis shorts. Don't you think?

  • Got to be the best car reviewer on youtube!

  • Why are you kick those doors so hard?? omg.

  • What a nice color!

    2007 Jet Black 3.0 X3

  • Nice vans

  • Make a review of the X1 too please!

  • It's built in the US.

  • BMW X3 Vs Mercedes Benz E class? Anyone ? Which one should i go for? Thx

  • @TheFedererNadallover It depends on your needs. If you want to do some off-road then you should get the X3. If not, then get the E-class, both are very luxurious but I think the E-class is a bit more. Although, I think the x3 is a bit cheaper, so you could get one with some extra options for the base price of the E-class.

  • please make a q5 vs x3 video , thanx :)

  • actually you can have the automatic with the 2.0

  • What is wrong with the sat nav at 2:06

  • @CapitainThunder Nothing. It's like that on the film.

  • i dont understand why everybody hates the old x3..

  • In the U.S The Acura RDX Turbo is a true winner over this car! with a 2.4 turbo 4cyl engine this would walk on the 3.0 diesel! I love BMW's but not diesel

  • 3:56 Vans shoes ? nice one

  • Best looking small SUV, especially with this Msport package, put it on my driveway NOW.

  • best car for sex

  • Great review. I thought the seat was gonna come right off the rails at 3:30 haha.

  • briliant bmw!

  • It is ugly yes, but inside it's nice and that's, to be honest, the place you will spend 99.97789% of your time. Evoque better looker, not a better drive I'd bet, hence you can't go wrong with the X3 no matter how fugly it looks.

  • he recommends auto over manual?? hmmm maybe because this car is a girls car

  • Good car but its so fucking ugly.

  • @TheIceMurder are you watching your mother? :)

  • this is how the passionate man looks like :)

  • at last u guys posted a video

    plzzzzzz do it more often

    ty!

  • Hey Mat! Are you part of three different review shows?

  • I don't know why the X3's transmission tunnel big like this .. I own an X5 and you barely can feel a transmission tunnel .. its all flat !

  • question : why are the X-series of BMW , made in the US unlike other cars such as 7-series and 5-series etc. which are made in Germany itself ?

  • @fisics22 Probably because the North American countries buy more SUV's than anywhere else so I guess BMW decided to have them all built at their US division.

  • But is the steering wheel offset??

  • @zmaster007 No. That's a problem that only Merc's have! :D

  • so the big question now - X3 or RR Evoque?

  • @TheOne42 x3 are shite the new rr Evoque is a work of art

  • 1:30 - is it an iphone 4 ?

  • This guy knows his stuff.

  • I don't see any shoes in the glove box this time

  • mat watson for president!!!! :DDD

  • Not a very gangster car.

  • I have heard that car reviewer is the most admired job in the world, second only to being a porn star... Mat you agree? Look at all the cars you are driving!

  • Nice Review. Ya, I agree, X3 driving performance without the adaptive suspension is quite bad. I tested one of these cars and I didn't like the handling. The rear seats appear small for 3 adults in the back. Definitely believe that the bigger engine is better. Will you review the Audi Q5 and the Mercedes GLK?

    Nice Video :)!

  • stonking?

  • Stonking. Mat's reviews kick ass.

  • Volvo is slacking technology wise compared to BMW, I would still buy an XC60 over this for its practicality.

  • Wheels are too small !

  • I like it more than X5

  • The X5 will never be redundant...

  • Boring and predictable, no fantasy, a statement perhaps?, good job, right suburb kids at a private school and all that Jazz lol

  • LoL nice i'm watching this in the same day he uploaded this video

  • The old X3 was a HORRIBLE car. New one is much better, though. But, still ugly as fuck.

  • why do bmw make so many suv x1 x3 x5 x7

  • @joydivision808 to fill a niche

  • The gearstick makes it look like the center console is nursing a semi

  • I have said this so many times, but I every time I see a new video I get amazed of how good Mat is reviewing cars!

  • Seems like a great vehicle. Too bad it looks nowhere near as good as current X5. The front end takes you straight back to 1990-ies. By the way Matt, at least with the CR-V you took it to some nearby park and drove it up the grassy slope. Why not taking the X3 off road, it is supposed to have one of the best AWD setups among crossovers.

Anyway, great style, Matt, keep these videos coming. Do you write and then memorize the stuff you say? It seems so natural and effortless.

  • I really like your shoes mat :-)

  • X1 is cheaper than X3, and X3 is cheaper than X5,.....but do we really so many need SUV??

  • @whateverman1028 4WD is standard on the X3 which makes it very appealing for people who live in countries with snowy winters. It is also better looking then an estate and will carry as much luggage, and you get good, comfortable overview of the road from the tall driving position.

  • @MrBazpoker may be you are right...

  • I can feel it's quietness and smoothness.

  • Just my opinion, but SUVs in general look so utterly silly.

  • if SUV's keep getting faster than hatchbacks...blimey

  • too bad it's ugly! design is cheap, so they should focus on that, since they don't exist anymore in motorsport!!!

  • i think they should differentiate the SUV line. It's sort of the same problem with Mercs in my opinion.

  • Best car reviewer on the web. keep up the good work Matt! :D

  • Yay a Mat review!

  • Very nice as always Matt. Thanks

  • As much as I like this car, I would never consider buying one, or any other BMW for that matter. German cars are the most unreliable cars on the market, with BMW and Mercedes near the bottom of reliability charts. No wonder BMW stands for "Buy More Warranty."

  • @marshknute You obviously lives ten/twenty years back in time. I have followed many official reliability tests of numbering vehicles and I have seen that BMW has improved significantly for the last couple of years. In fact, this year BMW was at the top in all the classes they were featured in. Check your facts before commenting and stop being prejudicial !

  • @MrBazpoker Not sure what you're on about: according to 2010 Consumer Reports, 5 of BMW's 11 models rank "below average," with the X5 and X6 ranking as "far below average." The turbo inline six found in the 1, 3 and 5 series has had a large amount of problems related to the fuel system. My friend's 2009 128i has been sent back to BMW 5 times for electrical problems, and my dad's 2004 X5 has been repaired 8 times (also electrical problems) since we bought it in 2008.

  • Nice.

Are you gonna review Citroen C5 in future?

  • Comment removed

  • BMW's straight six engines are perfection in engineering. I hate that most manufacturers are slowly replacing them with V6's....

  • Just waiting for the 720p option to pop up, wazzap?

  • =)
