  • You only have 200 years of history to make the swords. bastard. American

  • It Just Doest Feel The Same

  • Бородатый дед рулит!!!

  • Too many infra red for the poor camera :)

  • 3:24 Thumbs up if you think the redhead has a cute ass.

  • actually its purple primarily because of the camera, though you are correct about the colors.

  • why the fuck is it purple...

  • @shredderific1337

*sigh* Basic properties of heat... Red is cold, Yellow is a bit hotter, purple is hot, and blue is extremely hot... I thought that would be kind of obvious...

  • @AngelixArch sorry i dont make fucking sword steel....

  • @shredderific1337

It's not about sword making, it's basic knowledge of gases and combustion. This is the complete basics of physics and things you learn in school. It applies not only to sword making but metal works and stars... Those are the two things that pop in my head. So either you're uneducated, or you have never touched the simple subject.

  • @AngelixArch Metallurgy is probably a better specialty to explain any nuances you're seeing in the video.

  • @shredderific1337 Not many people do make sword steel, so I wouldn't worry about asking questions that come to you because there really aren't many people who can properly answer them.

  • @AngelixArch If you're talking about the colour in the flame, those changes have more to do with the amount of oxygen available rather than about the amount of heat that's being produced. Colour in the metal as it's heating up has a colour scale that most would understand instinctually.

  • @shredderific1337 Easy explanation, camera couldn't handle the light contrast.

  • @isliceasspie

Lol, pwned xD Thanks for the correction :) I guess it's live and learn lol...

  • Is the furnace always torn apart or was that just to help teach what is going on??

  • Tamahagane

  • Ok, the purple glow was pretty damn cool.

  • @Sorflakne That was mostly because my camera wasn't able to handle the contrasting light conditions, but I wasn't upset with the result.

  • that`s how Sauron made the ring

  • @EGYHER0 umm... sure. There's actually a much cooler way to make rings with special Japanese metal process called Mokume gane. I'll get a video up of that eventually.

  • @isliceasspie

    i am a genius!

    btw i am physicst

  • @isliceasspie OOooh please do. I've been really interested in Mokume gane lately.

  • that fire, molten iron and sparks look mighty close to that multitude of plastic tarps.......

  • @shonuffisthemaster Melting tarps was pretty low on the concern scale.

  • 6:27 Que scary music,

  • camera cant handle that much infraread radiation (heat), thats why it seems purple!

  • heh, you guys almost killed that wheelbarrow.

  • @leus Yeh, that wasn't the brightest move, but lessons come through trial and error.

  • why is it purple?

  • Purple is a new colour :).

  • WAYNE POTRATZ!!!

    Take me.

  • @ltcornflakes How do you know Wayne?

  • lol how come the burned steel (i suppose) was purple at 8:25?? it's the video quality or it was really purple?

    nice video btw

  • @metalboy9321 that's a demonic steel! LOL!

  • @icecrimson how so?

  • @choopdewoot I dunno... LOL!!

  • @metalboy9321 Video quality.

  • @metalboy9321 Thank you, the camera couldn't handle the light contrast.

  • @isliceasspie cheap IR filter...the hot stuff is making loads of near-infrared light that the camera can pick up as this white-purple color...
