Hard to believe this silly kiddie movie was directed by the same guy who did the first Superman film with the late Christopher Reeve as well as the entire Lethal Weapon series.
This music is giving me a nostalgia shock. I watched this movie SO MUCH as a kid. We had it recorded off the Disney Channel which had the two deleted scenes re-inserted into the movie. So through wearing out that tape watching it so much I grew up with a slightly different Goonies. Who else was scared of that giant octopus as a kid? XD
Interesting fact, if I remember correctly--the octopus wasn't actually included in the theatrical run of the movie. I remember being confused seeing it pop in the collector's cards. That scene must have been in the TV run. I've actually never witnesses the octopus myself.
@faville ha ha ya, it always confused me as a kid as well. The octopus was a deleted scene Its a good job to, it was terrible, its on the dvd. It must of been a mistake, not changing that scene where they mention it. But the film is full of mistakes, just didnt notice them when i was a kid. Still one of my all time best films though :)
