I agree: she's my FIXATION... I'd like to make you understand once again that even her body language and her acting is exactly the way as given in the libretto and it's deeper message- CARMEN will never be that expressive due to the image of woman she's representing!

I agree: Her voice is so beautiful and large, BUT her acting is too too flat. Moreover, her singing too lacks dramatic power, she's not seductive at all, neither her body language nor her voice. Sadly I cannot give more than four stars.

She has a BEAUTIFUL voice, and his is quite nice too, but I can't help but think that her costume doesn't suit her or the role of Carmen at all. I mean, Carmen is supposed to be flamboyant and striking, attractive, but in that dress she just looks dull. Or maybe they were trying to emphasize the boring factory life?

Both phenomenal!! She's just fantastic, incredible, perfect for such a role that, imho, it's not enough to be a mezzosoprano tu perform it greatly. As regards Don José, well...Carreras's the best. So thrilling both when he's angry ( Tais toi, je t'avais dit de ne pas me parler!) and when he confesses his feelings (Carmen! je suis comme un homme ivre...)high note included!. Excellent!

A pale shaddow of those Carmens like: Horne, Troyanos, Arkhipova, Resnik etc. etc. there are many more mezzos singing Carmen much better. Her lower range is just ugly, to my mind.
