  • I respect your opinion, but I feel like you hate on TNA a little too much. I'm not sure what positives can come from pointing that out, unless you get some personal satisfaction. Do you honestly prefer WWE? Wow.

  • And?, I'd like to you do better.

  • TSlayer by the way it not 2,400 it is 2,500=3000.

so shut your smark mark big mouth.

  • John Cena gave his penis to TSlayer1974 for 1million dollars. he says TSlayer1974 should suck his dick for that amount dats why he gives a lot of credit 2 WWE, and homosexual fans of ROH than TNA dis days.

as i see TNA their future will soon shine. Gabe, and even Bret Hart (though he doesnt like d stories) praise TNA.

  • lol wrestlingobserver

  • Just because you have a TV deal doesn't make you "mainstream." There's about 13 million people in the LA area including Irvine, and they could only draw 2,400? Somethings wrong there.

  • TNA should fire everyone involved in advertising, and marketing in general. TNA is running a show in Green Bay tomorrow, and have yet....yet to advertise once on local television, or radio. I would have expected them to advertise on radio, as it's cheap and effective...at least give out tickets as a prize, but of about constant listening to 10+ radio stations in 2 weeks time, I haven't heard anything.

They apparently think advertising live events during Impact! only is sufficient....idiots

  • So was the point of this video to make fun of TNA? I don't get the purpose of this video. I think Lionkiller was right about you being a TNA hater Truthslayer. I thought u were fair & unbiased. Maybe I was wrong.

  • hes a dick

  • This is supposedly TNA's version of Wrestlemania... They're doing something really wrong here if they can't sell out a show held in California that is headlined by Sting.

    I mean, Wow.

  • 1. bad advertising (fact)

    2. their 1st show in california(fact)

    3. wwe mindless fanatism factor (fact)

  • I would put it more to bad advertising. The first time they where here in Houston the advertising was bad and it showed as they drew less than the NWA did for one of there shows here.

  • Speaking of that, I think the TNA World Championship belt had more importance when it was still affiliated with the NWA and was known as the NWA-TNA. You cannot just make titles up like TNA did, and expect them to have an immediate effect in less than 2 years. That's why TNA leans on other titles with actual history behind them like New Japan's IWGP etc...

  • 2,400 fans for their biggest show of the year? The bad thing is that it is TNA itself who insists on competing with WWE, even though there really is no comparison. For a similar comparison, look at ECW's Heatwave '98, which was after ECW had been around about 6 years. The show drew about 4,300 to the Hara Arena in Dayton, OH and it was a much better show, plus the PPV cost was only $19.95, not $39.95 like BFG. TNA is basically an Indy promotion with a TV deal.

  • tv deal=mainstream. even if they draw 50 ppl on their shows.

  • nobody cares about tna lol

  • so whats your point tslay? i dont get it. what are you trying to say with this vid?

  • He's saying that TNA can't sell out.

  • i will say dis again "KEEP ACCUSING TNA SO MUCH BUT I TELL U DIS TNA WILL CHANGE AGAIN AND NOTHING IN DIS WORLD STAYS FOREVER.

A time will come when ROH will go crap so much.

  • What does papered mean? I keep hearing that alot about TNA shows! I was there it was still a good show. My

  • papered means how many free tickets you gave out.

  • Epic fail russo,eat shit

  • wowzers... thats bad

  • wow you got a new opening.

    very kick ass

  • Ha okay what was the purpose of this vid? Honestly if you hate TNA that bad that you feel the need to make this vid you should stop watching.

  • you are right. TSlayer just started 2 hate TNA so much that he cant stand it. watch and see in 2 years time he will talk so badly about ROH and their ROHbots (though they are good). TSlayer GO FUCK YOURSELF.

  • So you don't think this is news worthy?

  • ROFL, news for whom? For fans of wrestling, this should be as relevant as how many fucking hot dogs they sold at the event.

In fact you should scour the dirtsheets man and find out the estimate, cause if they sold less than 50 hot dogs,I think I'm gonna boycott TNA forever, it's just unacceptable & shows TNA has no future.

Lol, cmon man, attendance? Here's an idea, how about you make a vid on how YOU would have booked things different so it would have succeded, now that would be interesting.

  • You are aware I have done that very thing for two years in a row for TNA leading up to BFG right?

  • Whaa whaaa whaaaaaaa

  • I think it's because people want free stuff, so they wait and stream it on their internet the night of the event or the day after.

  • wow that sucks.

  • wow. tna really failed hard on ticket sales.

  • damn..that sucks. Not sure how large the venue is but I think they need to try to target smaller arenas in hopes of having the audience look full...and maybe they'll have a more lively crowd depending on the city. The arena they picked for BFG was about 5,000 which should be a target range for their top events, but on the whole shoot for like 2000 at most ppvs. Especially if the event is in areas that are not "hot" areas for TNA.

  • thats bad... really bad

  • TNA as far as ticket selling = EPIC FAIL !!!!! ps. they should have come 2 San Diego or Chula Vista Ca.

  • way more than what the GAY WINNING AWARD ROH could dream of doing

  • I read about that award that was fuckin' hilarious.

  • Actualy ROH has done 3,500 before that was in the UK but state side is 2,000 +

  • Lol, are you really surprised with the sales given the quality of wrestling they've been producing?

  • Half the arena? Ouch. But hey. Better than the usual 900 from the iMPACT Zone..........or at least that's what the usual number used to be. Someone needs to fill me in, since I don't pay much attention to attendance.

  • impact zone can hold 1300-1400 after last year's upgrade but i wonder if even half the ppvs attendce there pay anything

  • Thanks for the info, Demat89.

  • who cares?

  • I think TNA needs its own Hall of Fame Ceremony. Like WWE has, that kinda adds to the feal of wrestlemania and since BFG is TNA's WrestleMania, Tna needs a hall of fame...plus it would be nice to see Sting inducted somewhere, he deserves it after NEVER working for Vince or WWE

P.S. I like both companies not just one btw and this is just my opinion

  • ... and what would having their own Hall of Fame do for TNA, at the moment?

Sure, yes, it would give them a HoF, but the company has ONLY been around for, what, 7 years. TNA doesn't have that "much" of a history at this point.

IF TNA wants to add more to BFG, for one, they should make it 4 hours, which would make it their only 4-hour PPV; plus, they would have an extra hour to add to the quality of the PPV and make it (more) "special".

  • I think they should make the BFG a true wrestling ppv and shoot for matchups that wil deliver the best possible in ring matches. I'd agree with lengthening it to 4 hrs or 3 and a half(though that would be weird). It would give the wrestlers the appropriate amount of time to work their matches.

  • While this is sad, at least we're only talking about a 2:1 ratio of papered vs. sold. The venue was half full and the way the hard camera shot the crowd it looked packed. Compare this to Slamaversary at the Palace in Detroit. That place holds over 20,000 capacity. Just saying...

  • Aparently they got a AMAZING deal and that is why they did the show there.

  • Now the quality is awesome (The intro)

  • WOW! Not a good sign...

  • Why has TNA made Styles look weak as champ? First, the title was basically handed to him. Secondly, Styles was made to look inferior in his match against Kurt Angle. Styles, from what I've heard, is pissed off about that.

  • That "Price is Right" tune is so useful

  • Did anybody see South Park last night? That was hilarious!

  • TNA should probably consider a name change. I know it might be asking for a bit much but I really don't see how anyone can take a company named TNA seriously. I didn't even watch my first TNA match until 2004 just because of the name. How can you take a company seriously if it sounds like the name came from an idea of a pre teen whose hormones are raging out of control?

WWA on the other hand, grabbed my curiousity right off the bat and I tuned in to watch that immediately

  • I agree and I don't know why TNA doesn't use the WWA name.

  • I totally agree with you. The name "TNA" is retarded. People have attacked me for sometimes calling them "TNgAy," but the "TNA" name itself is a joke.

  • TNA is a porno name.

  • Yes, it is. It's not a name to be taken seriously.

  • it's not about the name its about the product it self they have worked hard enough to build their name

  • * What's TNA? *

    TNA = Tits 'n Ass

    * I thought it was a wrestling promotion? *

... oh, you mean, Total Non-Stop Action (Wrestling); my bad...

  • huh?

  • lol that was priceless

  • DAMN! that fucking sucks.

  • and indy wrestling roh and dragongate is better then tna so whats ur point?

  • That's nonsense. TNA is full of spotfests and garbage hardcore matches like Foley vs. Abyss. The match that you mention will probably be good, but WWE has great matches too. Jericho vs. Christian was a great match on Tuesday night.

  • damn, i love tna but wtf. they dont promote their shows at all. when are they gonna learn.

  • Jeez, you TNA apoligist will say ANYTHING to make your company look good @ the same time bashing the WWE.

So TNA marks, let the excuses begin!

  • Uh, DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • doesn't surprise me.

    They NEVER!!! advertise.

Back in July TNA from is Hamilton, Ontario. 20 minutes from here in Brantford, Ontario. I knew about it cause I like TNA, bought tickets right away got front row centre.

There was NOTHING anywhere. nothing on TV, Radio, Newspaper. unless your buddy told you, you like TNA or happened to drive by Copps when the TNA event flashed on their board outside, you would have no idea a wrestling event was happening.

  • Watching wrestling and being involed with the sport are two different things. I don't care if someone has been watching for a hundred years, this only scratches the surface. Heck I've been watching the NFL for 15 does that qualify me to be a coach? We all need to settle down on trying to be experts.

But Tslay you seem to be a good person and I'm not accusing you, just some of the IWC.

  • It doesn't matter how great TNA's product can improve or how great TNA really is, if you don't have a way to promote and advertise it, then it doesn't mean anything.

  • I don't even understand how TNA can afford everything with such a low, well, everything related to income, compared to WWE. TNA has to find a way to get noticed. Everyone I have ever met that I talked to about wrestling (other than wrestling fans) had no idea what TNA was.

  • I hope you also know that UFC failed to fill an arena in California for a recent event & also had to give away free tickets.

  • UFC usualy has to give away free tickets that is not the issue its the % that they have away. UFC still sold about 5 times the tickets they gave away..

  • Go to Japan. Stay there after the New Year's Tokyo Dome show and run shows together with NJPW with the TNA matches broadcast in the US on Impact. Then go to England w/ NJPW and feature the British Invasion and Nigel. Come back to the US with fresh ideas, storylines and characters.

  • TNA hasn't progressed since 2007. This sucks.

They really need to move their office to either the UK or Canada. Because the U.S. has been WWE territory since the mid 80's. TNA can be the WWE of the UK/Canada. They really need to take advantage of that, because their marketing department sucks.

  • That is the most idiotic solution I have ever heard.

  • To be fair even UFC had to heavily paper in the area to

  • TNA should focus on one territory where it draws well, much like ROH did at first booking shows all along the northeast. Also, I know Dixie Carter doesn't like the ppv schedule and would like to reduce the # of ppvs significantly. That would make sense at this point.

  • Im a loyal TNA fan and this disapoints me,but i have an idea, since TNA beat the WWE everyweek in the ratings over here in Ireland & The UK,why not have a PPV in say London and then have one in Dublin just to try it out and see what happens, like TNA's recent house show here in Ireland drew 3,000 people and if there only selling 850 tickets for their biggest PPV in the US then theres a problem

  • Exactly. I was at one of their shows in Dublin and the place was packed to the rafters. They definitely would do better business if they held more shows here

  • Yeah so was i and the atmosphere was electric, like at this stage there wasting money

  • I went to the Wembley show this year. That drew 6000+ a TNA record. I recall JB saying that they would bring a PPV to the UK this year. That not going to happen now so I for one feel a bit let downby TNA...again

  • Yeah and as a matter of fact at the show i went to this year they said they are going to have a PPV in Dublin next year...i wont get my hopes up yet

  • TNA aren't going to do a PPV in Ireland. That would be the heigth of idiocy. Different time zones would make it impossible. WWE tried this and failed miserably. So what chance do you think TNA has? They would be lucky to get a few hundred buys in the US.

  • Whats the point in wasting money in the US if they can get a full house of 10,000 over here in the O2 Arena?

  • They wont get 10000 over here man plus they will waste even more money just putting on a PPV over here and as I said it wont draw shit for the PPV buyrate.

  • it was 8,000+ fans.

  • That's all well and good but how pathetic is it that TNA can't even draw 1000 fans to it's biggest PPV in their home country......

  • Thats the same BFG as 2006 TNA can't progress

  • c'mon man no more tna bashing lol we know they cant draw but no need to rub it in :D

  • TNA really need to learn advertisting.

  • THey should try and invest in as much money as possible to get rock to make an appearance and rock bottom some one lol thats ratings right there.

  • Yeah, I don't see that happening. The Rock is loyal to the WWE because they made him a star.

  • How is this company profiting? Maybe if they took WWE's scedule theyd get there names out.

  • I'm not surprised at all, the company built up the ppv as if it was not een happening. If they can't promote themselves on their own shows, I don't see why they even thought people would care. WHat baffles me is that they booked the lead up actualy thinking that people would attend and pay for the ppv. I'd rather piss on an electric fence than attend a TNA ppv.

  • That is shocking, 850 tickets sold for the biggest PPV the company put's on, that is so bad you wouldn't even think it was possible, i thought TNA could one day challenge the WWE but if they keep going at this rate then i can see them going out of buisness in the next 3 years, i mean they need to go back to what made everyone tune in to watch, the Amazing matches they put on & give more spotlight to the X Division, i mean from when they started to around 2007 the ppv's were 5*!

  • LOL Poor TNA! I wouldn't be surprised if they're show was cancelled by a bunch of 5 year old ballerinas.

  • TNA should cut down on their PPV's, then to top it off, move 1/2 those PPV's off shore!!! Poms and Aussies LOVE their wrestling. If TNA want to make a profit, this would be the smart way to go about it. Not only will they get out sell out international crowd, (who are actually willing to spend big bucks to see a mainstream wrestling event) but they'll get A LOT more fans.... ESPECIALLY with this World Elite angle that they have going on now.

  • Forien PPV's don't get good buyrates in USA and that is where wrestling companies get alot of their money from.

  • Oh, buyrates. If you mean people buying the PPV, I guess you're right as there's the whole time difference thing..buut I actually think TNA could've made more at a foreign show than in the US. More ticket sales could add to their buyrates. Its not as if theyre doing huge numbers..at least Im assuming theyre not

  • LoL @ Price is Right "Fail Music"

  • Sucks....maybe if there was a PPV here in the UK itd do better...

  • UK PPV's aren't successful.

  • No, but their UK house show got an attendance of 8/9k. It surely would've benefitted them. In fact, I'm sure they could've done this anywhere else in the world and it would've drawn alot more..in Europe or Australia anyway. We dont get much wrestling so when it does come you get alot of fans buying tickets for it

  • maybe if they wern't making redundent story lines and booking ideas, go back to the old tna, the one that was awesome not this pale cheap immitation

  • its a shame people don't go to these PPVs, the card was stacked and the show turned out great. If TNA ever dies, I blame the fans.

  • amen

  • amen as well...this show had something for everybody and the guys surely busted their tails. It may not be the most technically sound ppv, but they definitely should've sold at least 3,000

  • why 3.000 only? did u see WM attendence or any of wwe's ppvs u cant say the efffort wwe puts is half what TNA did

  • chessarmy-I said this before, and I will say it again. California has been the home of plenty of talent. However, the wrestling market over there is awful! So I will agree that there is some truth to what you are saying besides the companies performance in recent years.

  • glad to see someone relizes the fans play a part in a company's success.....

  • That's about the number ECW was getting when it started to really hit rock bottom. Taping at Orlando Studios is smart cost-wise... but if I'm not mistaken, they cannot charge admission to their shows held there. Admission is free to the public I believe. That must really kill them in the long run.

  • really sad. they put much effort and good card even if people dont like some of it they deserve better.. wrestling died and not appreciated wouldnt advice anyone to invest on it because the fan u see in wwe are wwe's fans not wrestling fan

  • That's baloney. WWE fans are wrestling fans.

  • if u compare the number of people watching / attending between wwe and any wrestling promotion and see the difference it obvious that not all the people attend wwe are wrestling fans other wise they would try to look other promotions for more wrestling , lots of towns wwe do ppv in they sell around 13k tickets while other promotions can hardly pass 1-1.5

  • F the Observer get off their nutsack

  • Okay, but we should only do that after EVERY "news" site on the internet stops stealing their headlines and information. Sound fair?

  • The worst part of this is that it encourages them to keep staying in the Impact Zone (HORRIBLE CROWD) longer. I don't think they will ever grow strong enough to move out, even for all their PPVs.

  • I went to King of the Mountain last year, and less than half the arena was full. They made us all sit on one side of the arena at Desota Civic Center so it looked full. Their camera angles were all to one side. This is par for the course for TNA.

  • hey i was there for that event too. on the left side of the hard camera. james storm was sitting on the empty side of the arena.

it is a damn shame though that they can't get ppv crowds. i guess it really goes to show how little known TNA actually is. i think in this day and age no matter how good of an awareness campaign you may have, people just don't care about wrestling anymore. they just know wrestling is WWE and thats about as far as it'll go.

  • Seriously? im a die hard TNA fan but i will admit that's fucking horrible and BFG wasn't the best it could have been TNA has been crappy lately

  • This is why they need to go exclusively online.

I'll make a video response explaining my logic.

  • Dixie dropped the axe on most of Jeff's people, now she just needs to drop the axe on the incompetent folks like the Marketing/Advertising dude and the guy in the Production truck too.

  • People tend to get offended by this, but it's the fairest statement to be made about TNA: They're an indy promotion that happens to have the media financing and television deal.

What does it all amount to? That TNA hasn't grown nearly as big as they claim, but they have a better shot at success than the likes of any other indy promotion who lacks the financial backing.

  • True. BUT, should they just walk around claiming to be an indy promotion? I would think the goal of any ambitious indy promotion is to one day not refer to themselves as merely an indy. For the sake of the workers in the lockeroom who are at the level of being in the WWE but for whatever reason have not been let in to that secret society, another well paying alternative needs to exist. And to be honest ROH would be smart in finding some financial backing at this point .

  • I didn't mean to imply that they should call themselves that, but it would be nice if fans didn't fluff it up as being anything more than that so they don't completely hurt their own feelings when news like this continues to roll out.

I'm almost tempted to say TNA put themselves into this predicament by making the bad precedent of giving away tickets to all of their pay-per-views when they couldn't sell out. Fans seem more interested in the give-aways than the thrill of going to see a TNA PPV.

  • True...and like i commented earlier, I'd do a ppv with 850 fans in the most dimly lit building ever (literally spotlight over the ring that's it) before i give away 2000 seats. It sets a bad precedent. At the same time, something has to be done about their lack of promotion.

  • No TNA shouldn't call themselves a indy promotion but on the other hand they shouldn't pretend to be competition to WWE nor should they try and put them out of business instead they should focus on improving and promoting their own product.

  • I don't think its their goal to put WWE out of business. Dixie hasn't ever come across as wanting to do so. I think her focus is to at least be a viable alternative to the fans and to the workers (alternative simply meaning another company to watch/work for). You don't do that by outright saying "look we're not in WWE's league." You have to kinda hype yourself as being competition or else no one (wrestlers, fans, business people) will take you seriously. I can't fault them for that

  • She has stated more then once that if it was her choice she would go head to head with WWE. Other people in TNA have said the goal was to shut WWE down the same goal WCW had. The goal should be to be a successful alternative that was ECW's goal and is ROH's goal which is the right goal. If you become competition doing that good if not atleast you are still around.

  • Pwned.

  • LOL @ the losers horn

  • WOW LOL

  • DAMN!

  • Tlsay. I have a question. Who made your new intro to your videos? And do are you needing anything else new made? Like a new YouTube partner banner? Just wondering.

  • He has a handyman named Moral Virus who hooks him up with this stuff. If you don't remember his videos, he's something of a wizards with graphics and effects.

  • I'm kind of curious how in the hell TNA isn't on file for bankruptcy like they have a shit load of high priced talent, they're merchandise are bargain deals, the attendance for a mainstream promotion is pitiful and the ratings and buyrates are lower than a hole underground...This is one hell of a project I'm gonna do on my Finance class

  • They make money off the International TV deals.

  • They are owned by a larger company so as long as Dixie Carter's father doesn't mind spending money then TNA will stay open.

  • i would be funny if they sell out the rod laver arena when they tour australia (personally i don't think that would happen)...

if they do they would get more for a live house show then for their biggest paper view...

  • Epic Fail TNA

  • im not that far from irvine

and i was telling people on here

    that i wouldnt hear

any radio ads or nothing like that

and that the people around here werent really

    all that into attending

glad to see that ur video backs up what i was saying all along

  • i'm seriously tight though...not cus i'mma TNA fan and i enjoyed the show. But damn, for what its worth Raw should be sellin 850 tickets. Its a shame, WWE really has fans hypnotized. TNA can't do numbers, ROH can't do numbers, Dragon Gate USA can't do numbers. And all it does is add fuel to any E marks arguement as to why WWE is better quality, FOH!

  • TNA has been noted for not doing a good job promoting there shows. They go to LA but not NYC. Though I think they are scared to go to NYC and do a PPV becouse the fans might go NUTS. Honestly sometimes I think they are scared of ROH for some reason. I think that is why the Live Impact at least years WM was a "Controled Crowd"

  • I agree with that. There's no doubt in my mind that this is ROH country if its not WWE. And even I can admit that NYC takes things too far at times even at ROH shows. I think the motto ought to be shuttup and wrestle cus any attempt at a promo usually gets drowned out by a STFU chant.. I have HOPE that one day soon, TNA could gain the love of NYC. They just need to book a card catered to New York fans, they have the talent to do it.

  • If you book a show with the main events being, Joe vs Daniels, AJ vs Angle, The Guns vs Team 3D, and idk...Homicide vs Red for the X title. Give it some hype and give the programs some decent build, right there that's a show tailor made for a NYC crowd. Or just take the upcoming Turning Point ppv and put in in the Hamerstein, many buys.

  • There are ways to try and sell us crap shows, but TNA, and to a larger extent WWE and their "writers", don't know how to accomplish this.

Remember when Styles first started wanting to feud with Sting last year? That drew in some meaning even if it didn't entirely make sense to begin with (what with Sting helping Angle and all without resolving that fully), but that had a lot of heat behind it. This year, that same mysticism has long since faded. The idea of "respect" between the two was lazy.

  • bighustle-Although there are a lot of vulgar fans at non-TNA/WWE NYC shows, you must keep in mind that (most) people that go to E or TNA shows are alot more different. TNA came here twice and had no problem with the fans.

  • Nigga, I thought we was doing a video? When the fuck you going to trek up to my neck of the woods already? :P

  • that price is right loser music hurts to the gut....but really though, what do they have to do to draw...what does anyone have to do to draw nowadays? if yout company isn't WWE, its like u can't sell a house.and that truly has to be frustrating. TNA is better than me i wouldn't paper shit, i'd say fuck you fans if ur not payin. but i can be stubborn at times

  • They should have papered useing Boys and Girls Clubs and such ...So I agree. The sad part is Final Battle could do CLOSE to that maybe Hell the ROH Shows In houston did almost 2000.

  • If I were Dixie I'd want answers from their advertising department....what the hell do they do all day?

They should be ashamed. And I'm not gonna sit here and use a blanket statement like TNA sucks as a whole, cus the wrestlers don't deserve it. Hell i don't even think the booking deserves it. They built up a pretty solid show for what they're fans want. But all that effort is wasted due to bad advertising, bad PR, and lack of promotion...

  • what kind of shit is that 2400 people saw that show holy shit summerslam down the street in la put like 20000 people in the staples center. Damn dude tna is the minor leagues compared to wwe. They are just about a independent promotion. All that high priced talent and 2400 people that is some sorry shit

  • LOL thats gotta hurt TNA

  • Wow they couldn't even fill half the arena.......
