  • yeah imma new cat owner n when he did this it kinda freaked me out. glad to know all cats do it

  • mine does that too.

  • it's a hunting instinct.

  • Yes, cats do that, my cats do that all the time from the window, I think it's because they purposely make it silent so the birds can't hear them them, when they are ready to attack, when they're outside!!!!! makes sense, right?!!

  • Mine does that, too. So cute. XD

  • 0:04 que dramatic music

  • i love how they chatter like that :3

  • alien chat, for sure. ;-)

  • Ive always wondered why my cat did that, im a first time owner and it scared me at first , but my cat is way winey when she does it, so` is it just a bird call?

  • i love those predator sounds :D

  • My gaiger-kitty is measuring high radiation is this area....

  • I love when cats have this reaction, mine does it when he sees a fly

  • My kitten does that all the time! He does that even when he's outside! But he does it like ten times louder, it's really funny.

  • It's detecting radiation

  • 0:57 - The white and black cat in the background is not the same one meowing from before right?

  • @ChickenWaterMovies, correct. Thats his sister.

  • It's instinct. they do that to mimic the sound of a beetle or cicada. Wild cats hide in bushes & make that sound, & when the bird comes close thinking it hears a meal, the cat pounces.

  • @PHILLYHEAT215 yeahhh, i think your right about that, thanks :)

  • haha i love when my black and white cat cackels at birds out my window i will post a vid of it later

  • it's the intro to 'the happening' XD

  • Apparently that jaw action they make is them replicating the action they make when they catch and crush a bird. Even so, it's still somehow sooo cute.

  • the cat thinks its a bird..........

  • haha just like mine :p even the yawning btw :P

  • my cat does that sometimes, i never knew why, mainly with lizards that are outside

  • my cat does the same thing it sound like a woodpecker

  • My cat does this too. Does anyone one know why?

  • its werid xD

  • look at these 2 felons lol

  • my cats do that to. lol

  • They do that bc their eyes see things verrryy closely lool!! So thats why they act the way they do lol.

  • Yes! This is a vocalization that vents frustration. Cats do this when they see prey that they know they cannot get. If a cat is outside and stalking its prey, it will not likely do this, unless the bird is out of reach. Always amusing!

  • its the cat machine gun

  • lol hes frustrated that he sees them but cant reach them :)

all cats do it, i love how he yawns in the middle of doing it ,

    so cute!

  • my cat does this too, and makes little chirping noises. we call it "rat a tat cat"!

  • is it making a pecking sound with its jaw??

  • LOL

  • their trying to entice the bird (lure it) to him or her. guess you could say it's talking & yes of course the cat's excited. It's a chance for a free meal if they catch it.

  • my cat does that and the bird comes right in front of him but the birds r to smart for him

  • LOL! I love when they do this!

  • lol my cats do this too

good to know it's normal haha

  • it is normal. Cat's probably do this because the prey they see is out of reach and they say to themselves "dammit, I want to eat the bird... but I can't get it!!" ;) I guess wether a cat shows this behavior or not depends on how much she likes to hunt.

  • That's exactly what my two cats do. Precious and Misty both do that exact same thing when they see a bird, Misty does it more though.

  • somebody tell what dose that mean when the cats tail move left and right

  • that is showing they are angry/ anxious.

  • My moms cat did that!!!! It was too funny :)

  • Thats cute. lol, my cat chatters at birds too.
