This is amazing. I've seen people try to change the ending to have Rose with 10, but I feel like this fixes any problems there are with her being with 10.5. I don't think Rose and 10 could be together after series 2; he's changed since then, but she hasn't. She needs a chance to love someone who can love her. The Doctor also needs someone he can be with. I think when other fans change the ending to get Rose with 10, they forget that 10.5 is a person too. This is the way it should have gone.
I really like this ending more then the original. Though I still cry...at this moment also. I was so mad that she had stayed and had to live with the second doctor. Oh well, this ending like I said is much better for me for the ending of the 4 season.
This was just lovely, really lovely. None-the-less I still have that feeling that he isn't the "real" doctor and that somehow it's a cheat. I wanted and still want Chris or David as the Doctor on the show and want them with Billie as Rose, nothing else in all the series ( and I've watched a really high percentage of even the really old ones ) comes close to the story of Rose and the Doctor. I want them to end the whole thing with he and Rose being together forever.

BUT THIS FUCKING SUCKS!!! I mean really, the doctor never just gets to be happy? She has the other doctor, but she can't travel anymore, it's just not ideal!! So the real doctor gets to spend the rest of eternity knowing that the one girl he really loves is with him, but he'll never get to experience it!! WHAT THE HELL!!!??? Fucking pisses me off....
Even though the Doctor has Rose, its still the Doctor's pain. He saw himself being with her, but the him now still can't spend that time with her. And he's lost everyone. Lots and lots of pain that the audience still feels. Meh. :( But thanks for uploading.
@Janiemanie1993 In the original, the human doctor speaks to her in front of everyone, which I found quite awkward and impersonal. Here he explains their fate once the the Doctor leaves. Giving her a chance to react emotionally. ;) That was my goal anyway. (its a reshuffle/edit of the scene) :)

Although they all say the same thing, it's so much better, more moving. The Doctor looked so much sadder. They should have made him this upseat in the acctual episode. The music goes perfectly, too - I was almost in tears!!
The best yet worst place in this entire series is Bad Wolf Bay. But I will always love it and no matter what episode it's in the place is sad adn "Absolutly Fantastic!"
@Hailey5210 There was a song at the end of Lemony Snicket called "Drive Away" also by Thomas Newman but it isn't the same. I think the "Walk Away" song might be in a different movie that he composed for... Also "Walk Away" sounds kinda similar to the song at the end of the Snicket movie called "The Letter that Never Came"

Ah, this is much better. I always felt like the version we got, Rose wasn't getting her happy ending. I mean, sure they held hands at the end but neither her nor Doctor 2 looked particularly happy. A smile would have fixed. That's it. Just one happy looking smile. Or a re-edit such as this. I dunno. I still feel a tad let down by the version we got even though I adore finally knowing Rose has a Doctor all of her own; lucky girl!
I love how you made the Doctor and Donna leave before Rose and the Doctor Copy had that talk. Felt much more fluid and natural. And you really felt more like they were a couple :)
I can't see how the other Doctor came to be human. He was the Doctor's old hand (time lord hand), and regeneration power from a time lord bought him to life. Everything suggests that he should have become a time lord to me.
I like this version. Having Doctor#2 tell her that after he leaves fits so much better. And I did love in this episode that she had the Doctor to herself finally, a partially human version of him with the same memories (so he remembers all he and Rose did together, etc.), the same brain, but one life to live with her was perfect. She loved Ten just the way he was, and it was clear from her fear of him regenerating that she wanted Ten, not another version.
this is so much better than the actual ending... it feels, i dont know, more like i can move on from rose now.... i almost feel better... that's shes happier. if that makes any sense at all. thank you :)

I'm from Norway and had to laugh a bit at their pronunciation of the beach, and it's SO random that so important scenes take place in""bloody" norway. Bergen of all places!
I love it, but its still sad...and i would have loved to see how the two of them worked out together..it'd be a neat lil spin off to have, and i'm sure i'm not the only one who'd like to see it, still wish she could have stayed with The Doctor tho
Oh and I meant to say about the shots at the end. Where they taken from a different episode? His hair is wet and the colour 'white' has been altered to a 'blue'ish colour

@geistjagerin I thought how Rose left in Doomsday was amazingly emotional and although it wasn't my fave send off for a companion, I felt it was one of the best. When I heard she was returning for series 4 I was annoyed. I feel when a character leaves as well as she did they should stay gone but I was pleasently surprised and enjoyed her return and they sent her off well again. I don't want Rose to come back as that mini era of dr who is over. We said our fond farewells and its time to move on.
I will never get tired of watching this video, no matter how many times it makes me bawl my eyes out. It's just beautiful. No other words can summarize it up. It's beautiful.
The original left me angry with the doctor... this version really got the feeling that I'm sure the writers were intending for us to feel. And now I'm happy for Rose because she's the only companion who gets to keep the doctor.
Although I kind of wish that you had included Donna at the very end- because at that point I was wondering how you were going to continue that beautiful scene and not leave us wondering what Donna's fate was. But you didn't.
@Dannyri101 Sorry for not including Donna's scene, but it would have turned this from a 3 minute video into a 15 minute one, which is too long to upload. And seeing as i could not change her fate it seemed superfluous really. I felt this specific scene needed a moment alone between the human doctor and rose, to help her to understand what the doctor was truly giving her.
The original made me cry... this was worse for that but gave a better sense of closure. The original seemed a bit cold towards Rose and was anyone else extremely unhappy with the doctor/rose moment when David Tennant left?

@jjppf Thanks for your opinion on this, sorry you didn't like it. However I indeed have altered the arrangement of the clips and there was quite a substantial number of tiny edits, which may not be obvious to the viewer, which btw is how editing should be, unnoticed. In this version the Human Doctor and Rose discuss their situation/future in private once the Doctor has departed. Also Rose does not cry in the original version when the TARDIS departs. Cheers. :)
@DoctorWhoCenter2010 - Sadly I couldn't actually re-score this version, as the original music was embedded in the 'stereo' download at the time. I merely masked it with the new score and for some areas i removed the original audio completely and added my own sound effects/music. Having said that, i could make a new version with clearer audio now that 5.1 sound is available, which i am very tempted to do at some point :)
SEDUFF - you are amazing. Loved this when i originally saw this and love it now. This justs fits together so much more beautifully. Really feel for the lonely doctor (and of course there's hope for Rose and human Doctor!)
Oh god, where do I even begin to explain how much I love this recut. First of all, your music choice is brilliant! It's an amazingly powerful piece that goes well the scene.
Second, watching this is was getting 6 months of therapy to fix the emotional confusion the original caused me. Having her talk to the half-human Doctor at the end of the scene rather than the beginning was extremely cathartic. Thank you so much for making this. Faving, and downloading the file.

It's all this scene needed really. The original version left us feeling rather cold towards the new doctor, and yet he still IS the doctor. Her doctor. And even though we feel for the timelord, we know they can have what he never could and live their life, day after day... together. :)
That scene is everything I had wished for! I was so intensely disappointed that they cut the kiss. It showed just how much he really did love her, while during the series you kinda of knew, but it was like he couldn't admit it to himself. You blended it beautifully. Thank you SO much!
@Pheonx21 I agree with you, about the Doctor part especially. But you know what really sucks? The original Doctor is left without ever being able to admit it, or ever being able to experience it....I feel like it's cruel, the way the writers always make it so he can't have that one thing he must be just dying for; a normal life. I hate it, but it really addds on to the Doctor's character, it explains him so well; the sufferer, the strong, the one who is deprived of something so basic.
I really like this alternate ending. Somehow it adds a bit of closure to that scene at the beach. It just feels....not happier...just that everything will work out (moreso than the original). Good job with the editing, as usual. :)
I love DT as well, I would do any thing it bring him back as the Doctor! He was perfect. Cute, funny, charming, got mad at the right parts, and sad. Made me watch doctor who and not turn off the tv... miss you!!!
There was a video on here on YT where DT gave the human Doctor a piece of Tardis to grow his own Tardis...It would be really great to use this to bring him back! Cmon...this is Doctor Who...They can do anything....I say we start a petition to bring DT back as the PERMANENT Doctor...Sorry people....Just like DT to much..
@moderndaysamson I think Matt Smith should accidently fall through the rift and find them, make the episode one of those triple roll over ones the endings of series' are so prone to.

peterwjones: It is a reshuffle/alternate cut of the Bad Wolf Bay scene. Not Journey's End. :) I couldn't change the episode outcome, just recut this scene the way i wanted it.
You know- the idea of a human Doctor Who could resolve the issues surrounding the non-canon movies that starred Peter Cushing. Maybe in that sealed off parallel universe- Rose and the Doctor have children, eventually grandchildren and the Doctor does invent (or re-create) a version of the TARDIS to stave off the invasion of the DALEKS. - It could work as a series of independent films.
I realized today (while crying hysterically over the loss of David Tennant as the Doctor) that because of this ending, there is a perfectly easy way to bring David back on the show for an episode or two without it having to be flashbacks or anything, and he would have the same personality and knowledge...he'd be everything he was as Doctor Who because a version of him still exists in the Doctor Who universe! Fingers crossed for that possible future episode! (Preferably with Rose as well).
QuiteIgnorant: We can only hope. At comic con, they seemed impressed at the response from the audience for the possibility of David becoming the 'movie' Doctor. Can only hope they think about bringing his clone back one day. :)

I know it's from series 4, and I didn't say anything about him being soaked with rain. You must be talking about the Family of Blood arc, yes it was raining heavily, and David was also ill.

Ah, this is much better. I always felt like the version we got, Rose wasn't getting her happy ending. I mean, sure they held hands at the end but neither her nor Doctor 2 looked particularly happy. A smile would have fixed. That's it. Just one happy looking smile. Or a re-edit such as this. I dunno. I still feel a tad let down by the version we got even though I adore finally knowing Rose has a Doctor all of her own; lucky girl!

I love how you made the Doctor and Donna leave before Rose and the Doctor Copy had that talk. Felt much more fluid and natural. And you really felt more like they were a couple :)

I can't see how the other Doctor came to be human. He was the Doctor's old hand (time lord hand), and regeneration power from a time lord bought him to life. Everything suggests that he should have become a time lord to me.

I cried at the end of this but... i hated rose to be honest, i wish he stayed with Martha!
I mean I cried when rose and The doctor got separated in season two but once Martha came in. I happy for Rose I guess but still.

I like this version. Having Doctor#2 tell her that after he leaves fits so much better. And I did love in this episode that she had the Doctor to herself finally, a partially human version of him with the same memories (so he remembers all he and Rose did together, etc.), the same brain, but one life to live with her was perfect. She loved Ten just the way he was, and it was clear from her fear of him regenerating that she wanted Ten, not another version.

@geistjagerin I thought how Rose left in Doomsday was amazingly emotional and although it wasn't my fave send off for a companion, I felt it was one of the best. When I heard she was returning for series 4 I was annoyed. I feel when a character leaves as well as she did they should stay gone but I was pleasently surprised and enjoyed her return and they sent her off well again. I don't want Rose to come back as that mini era of dr who is over. We said our fond farewells and its time to move on.

The original left me angry with the doctor... this version really got the feeling that I'm sure the writers were intending for us to feel. And now I'm happy for Rose because she's the only companion who gets to keep the doctor.
Although I kind of wish that you had included Donna at the very end- because at that point I was wondering how you were going to continue that beautiful scene and not leave us wondering what Donna's fate was. But you didn't.
The music is gorgeous.

@Dannyri101 Sorry for not including Donna's scene, but it would have turned this from a 3 minute video into a 15 minute one, which is too long to upload. And seeing as i could not change her fate it seemed superfluous really. I felt this specific scene needed a moment alone between the human doctor and rose, to help her to understand what the doctor was truly giving her.

@seduff I don't see where you edited? And I don't like this as much as I could. I agree with Rose when she said, "It's not you." I know it couldn't have happened any other way. But still, the copy isn't as good as the orignal.

@jjppf Thanks for your opinion on this, sorry you didn't like it. However I indeed have altered the arrangement of the clips and there was quite a substantial number of tiny edits, which may not be obvious to the viewer, which btw is how editing should be, unnoticed. In this version the Human Doctor and Rose discuss their situation/future in private once the Doctor has departed. Also Rose does not cry in the original version when the TARDIS departs. Cheers. :)

@DoctorWhoCenter2010 - Sadly I couldn't actually re-score this version, as the original music was embedded in the 'stereo' download at the time. I merely masked it with the new score and for some areas i removed the original audio completely and added my own sound effects/music. Having said that, i could make a new version with clearer audio now that 5.1 sound is available, which i am very tempted to do at some point :)

Oh god, where do I even begin to explain how much I love this recut. First of all, your music choice is brilliant! It's an amazingly powerful piece that goes well the scene.
Second, watching this is was getting 6 months of therapy to fix the emotional confusion the original caused me. Having her talk to the half-human Doctor at the end of the scene rather than the beginning was extremely cathartic. Thank you so much for making this. Faving, and downloading the file.

It's all this scene needed really. The original version left us feeling rather cold towards the new doctor, and yet he still IS the doctor. Her doctor. And even though we feel for the timelord, we know they can have what he never could and live their life, day after day... together. :)

That scene is everything I had wished for! I was so intensely disappointed that they cut the kiss. It showed just how much he really did love her, while during the series you kinda of knew, but it was like he couldn't admit it to himself. You blended it beautifully. Thank you SO much!

@Pheonx21 I agree with you, about the Doctor part especially. But you know what really sucks? The original Doctor is left without ever being able to admit it, or ever being able to experience it....I feel like it's cruel, the way the writers always make it so he can't have that one thing he must be just dying for; a normal life. I hate it, but it really addds on to the Doctor's character, it explains him so well; the sufferer, the strong, the one who is deprived of something so basic.

I really like this alternate ending. Somehow it adds a bit of closure to that scene at the beach. It just feels....not happier...just that everything will work out (moreso than the original). Good job with the editing, as usual. :)

There was a video on here on YT where DT gave the human Doctor a piece of Tardis to grow his own Tardis...It would be really great to use this to bring him back! @moderndaysamson I think Matt Smith should accidently fall through the rift and find them, make the episode one of those triple roll over ones the endings of series' are so prone to.
it wouldn't work to have him back because he grows old like a human :(
but you're right, this IS doctor who, if Matt had to regenerate on the parrallel earth and human-David was near, it could creat a fussiony thingy... (not as good with science words at the doctor is :P)

You know- the idea of a human Doctor Who could resolve the issues surrounding the non-canon movies that starred Peter Cushing. Maybe in that sealed off parallel universe- Rose and the Doctor have children, eventually grandchildren and the Doctor does invent (or re-create) a version of the TARDIS to stave off the invasion of the DALEKS. - It could work as a series of independent films.

I realized today (while crying hysterically over the loss of David Tennant as the Doctor) that because of this ending, there is a perfectly easy way to bring David back on the show for an episode or two without it having to be flashbacks or anything, and he would have the same personality and knowledge...he'd be everything he was as Doctor Who because a version of him still exists in the Doctor Who universe! Fingers crossed for that possible future episode! (Preferably with Rose as well).

wow its absolutley brill. i love how you edited it i could hardly tell the diffrence i only could tell because i've seen the actual episode, you should so take this kind of thing up and make a carer out of it, either now or after you've left school depending on your age.
i would love to see an edit of that where rose kisses the proper doctor and not the half human doctor. hope you'll try and do that in the future.
