  • what is better for a teen? a 5x7 or a 10x12?

  • Makes for some good green screening.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • It's gotta be bouncing the light off the ceiling and I'm going to try that tomorrow!! Awesome idea. Your lights are about the same as I use!! Very cool tutorial!! You should P.M. it to tubetape and let them know you are giving them a shout out!! *****

  • Yeah the celling as well as the track lighting. Track lighting is pretty cheap and easy to install :) let me know how it works out for you! :) Thanks for the comment.

  • very cool share of info

  • Great video, helped a lot! 5*s

  • I have the exact same tripod. Nifty thing it is. Do you shoot a bit of light behind the green screen? I heard it helps. You seem to know alot about this stuff. Anyways cool stuff.

  • No. I do not shoot any light behind other then what the 2 windows behind bring in if I am shooting in the day time. Most of my shooting schedules are like 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM so it is dark behind the green screen. Thanks for the comment.

  • what is the differance between a green screen and a blue screen???

  • There really isn't a difference other then the color. The reason that they use green or blue is because it is the furthest away from our skin tone. I have seen other colors used as well but I seem to do well with Green. Thanks for the comment.

  • Ummm back when I was married the green one would not have worked. Its aboutthe color my skin was after eating my ex wifes cooking LOL

  • Cool, I gotta get me a green screen soon!!!

  • Yes they are great .. I love the idea I can be anywhere I want to be with a flick of the wrist on the computer. :) Thanks for the comment.

  • Very help full- thanks.

  • No problem .. have any questions I will try to help ya out as best as I can. Thanks for the comment.

  • very cool, that's an awesome looking green screren

  • Thanks! I like it alot and use it all the time in my videos! :) Thanks for the comment.

  • Very neat Earl.

  • Thank You! Thanks for the comment.

  • so what software do u use?

  • I use Final Cut Pro Studio. Thanks for the comment.

  • Thanks man! .... ps ur awesome!

  • Great set up! Very good info as well, it's nice to have a tour of your set-up as I am looking into the green-screen set-up now! Nice to see how it's professionally done sir!

    5/5!

  • Yup I try to keep it as cheap as possible but workable. My budget on my setup was $400.00 at the time and I got all that you saw for under $225.00 Not counting the camera and the software. But you can get it cheaper like green or blue bed sheets if you can find the color that is close enough to the professional stuff. Good Luck! Thanks for the comment.

  • I have the same green screen kit as you do but I don't use the stand anymore cause I have a dedicated wall in my bedroom now so it's just tacked up... I also use worklights to light the greenscreen and I have some umbrella lights and a couple clamp lights to light me...

  • Yeah I wish I had a room that I can dedicate a green screen room. More light you use the better. I have been luck that I have the track lighting to help me out on lighting dark areas. Thanks for the comment.

  • good job on this great video

  • Thanks very much for stopping by and commenting. :)

  • wow that is cool I wonder how people do this.

    aaaah some day :)

  • It is alot of fun but the only difference is the price they pay for their equipment. Setups are all put together about the same way as mine. Alot depends on camera and software too. You just have to test and once ya have it .. don't move it LOL Thanks for the comment.

  • That set up is sweet. I need to go there and get a real green screen. I am using the color that Larry Graves uses. It works good. But man look how much screen you have and the stands are killer awesome. Thank you for sharing this with me. Have a great night my friend. God bless you and your family.

  • Larry Graves has real good green screen too. So whatever he is using works. The reason I really got the set was cause I do not have a wall that I can dedicate to green screen placement.. Thanks for the comment.

  • Nice info man, Lots of light is the key when placed right!!!!

    Peace, ace77man

  • Yuppers! Took me a little while and testing to get it just right. I never move it cause I don't want to have to figure it all out again LOL. Thanks for the comment.

  • nice set up earl! and u gotta love tubetape right?

  • Thanks! Yes I love Tubetape for all the green screen supplies ! Thanks for the comment.

  • very informative..it's not easy being green.

  • Thanks LOL yeah I love being green. Thanks for the comment

  • Awesome, really awesome setup man. i only have one set o hardware lights, but lighting is a HUGE part of this stuff. good stuff man good stuff

  • Ohh yes lighting is the key. Took me a little while to get it right. But works awesome now :) And as for the work lights they work great if you have a budget to stay in. Thanks for the comment.

  • thanks for the video it was informative and to the point. I always have wondered how you had it all laid out.

  • It is a little confining but enough room to do what I need to do. I guess as long as it works a bigger room is just not necessary :) Thanks for the comment.

  • cool video!!

  • Thanks! Why aren't you doing green screen anymore?

  • I actualy think that the track lighting might be the key!!!! I may be over lighting my self!!

this may get me in front of the green sceen again

  • Track lighting is awesome when you need to add a little light to your face. I found a while back that 250 watts on my face cause my face to look to hot "Movie Terms" So I started to use the track lights and have had no issues since then. And yeah I miss your green screen videos man. :)

  • Wow thanks for sharing this video! I was thinking about investing a green screen. I am hoping to find a really green bed sheet soon. LOL

  • A green bed sheet will work too. Just as long as it is well lit and you do not cast any heavy shadows. Ohh and make sure if you do go that way that the thread count is high so it is not so see through. Do that and a bed sheet will work great. Good Luck! Thanks for the comment.

  • thanks for sharing! I've always wondered what your video export settings are because you always have the crispest video whether or not it's in HD.

  • Thanks! My export settings are MP4 and H.264 format with at least 1500 bit rate to get the best HD possible for Youtube. Anything below 1500 bit rate you get the HQ not HD. I hope that helps. Thanks for the comment.

  • thanks for that!!
