  • I surely enjoyed the movie and thanks for the engl subs. You give us(Hindi movies fans) the opportunity to watch all these beautiful movies, and escape for a while from our misery reality...

  • I love it ,and I've never seen anything like it. Great Film!

  • nice movie a beautiful one

  • I like movies with happy endings..thank goodness this movie didn't ruin my 3 hours. Beautiful direction and brilliant acting!

  • beautiful movie! Vidya she is a great talent, natural indian beautiful woman:) I really loved her chemistry with Saif : ) Thanks for uploading : )

  • Wonderful movie. I almost cried. Saif and Vidya did a good job. Thanks or uploading.

  • i love this movie i watch it again and again

  • ...And then they zoom out and show a gate about two feet away from the broken wall.

  • woooooooooooow! i cried little bit, best movie of saif ali khan, i lv vidya balan....but i loved sanjay dutt most. parineeta is really a good movie.

  • nice movie

  • nice movie.... thanks alot 4 sharing it...

  • Strangely I watched this movie cuz I was searching about the Freemasons, Illuminati and their presence & activities in Bollywood & I went on the Wikipedia page of Saif Ali Khan there his company name is mentioned Illuminati Films, a few lines above that 'Parineeta'

Here I am, just watched the whole movie.. haha

    Anyways..

Really loved the movie.. and I just wish that our stories in real life also always end-up just like in the movies.... a union with the loved one.

  • omg love this....so far all of vidya's movies that i've seen have been really good.

  • i loved the film but the end scene was a bit exagerated

  • Beautiful movie :)

  • Thank you for uploading :)

  • omg shekkars and the girls nose matches!!

  • Hello why didnt he just walk out of the front door instead of breaking a wall

  • @The1947partition Typical Bollywood melodrama..

  • @The1947partition Its symbolism for the division between the two families. Breaking of the wall showed that the family is now combined and the same as before!

  • @The1947partition it wasn't about getting next door. it was about showing his father that he isn't complying to the father's wishes and also symbolically saying that the barrier (which was a barrier to relationships and love ) between the houses is coming down.

  • @The1947partition It's supposed to be symbolic.

  • wow!! break it shekhar!!! what a lovely n awesome moment!!(though it was hitting..:P)...

    tod shekhar!!

  • Great Movie.. thanks a ton for such a great job done

  • Todh Shekhar! Todh! Shekhar T O D H ! Todhdey! Why do people speak up on the top of their voices when the majority does? Especially in Bollywood movies Enjoyed THE END:)

  • vidya is the best =)

  • This is officially one of my all time favorite Indian movie...One of the best I have seen in a long long looong time...Lovely I must say.

  • while he is breaking down the wall....yes i know its symbolic...but there's a gate like a meter away!!!

  • @sarangeshii yeah I do remember thinking, your wife is leaving, might as well stop the car and then proceed to break the wall...

  • This movie is just lovely..different from the typical type of Bollywood Romance. Saif, Vidya and Sanjay did some great acting. I think this is Saif's best performance yet.

  • Excellent Moive Thx:)

  • what a wonderful film. i have watched it so many times but still watch it. Vidya even being a newcomer has given a powerful performance. and to think they were considering aishwarya for this film before vidya (ew!!!!). vidya is a way better actor than aish. not only she is incredibly beautiful but a topnotch actress. though she cannot reach meena kumari's portrayal at all.

  • @sabbirsa aishwarya? goodness...

like somebody else said on some Parineeta video on YouTube, vidya has that exotic Indian beauty hard to find in most bollywood actresses. perfect pick, I think!

  • @genericusername337 i agree completely

  • i loved the ending

  • Beautiful! It's Beautiful! Great story! Love it!

  • among the supporting actors, i loved ajit's acting most. Sabyasachi is kind of legend 2 me 4 his feluda character. sanju and saif did very well as usual. but most of all when i 1st watched the movie i was so impressed with the new face vidya.

  • love most of saif films. he's a goog actor. this one is very good too

  • :')

  • Exellent Movie thx=)

  • I have read the actual novel PARINEETA by Sharat Chondro Chattarjee. that was an excellent novel, but the movie is way better than the novel. This is best movie I have ever watched. The story, characterization, characters, dialog, acting, finishing, everything, over all the direction are best in all circumstances.

Sanjay L. Bansali directed DEVDAS from the same writer's novel, but the direction and everything was were just full of shit. He messed up the actual story.

  • @northshore32287 Can you please tell me whether the novel also has a happy ending?

  • @northshore32287 I read the novel too and I totally agree that this version is actually so much better and so much deeper than the novel. of course I read it in English.. did you read it in English or Bengali? Wonderful movie... Luv Vidya she is wonderfully talented and she just has a way of delivering lines!

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! AHH LOVE IT!!

  • haha I would love to say my husband broke a wall for me! :)

  • hummm now i remembered why i was deceived by the movie the first time i saw it!! and at that time i didnt know about the book, its a masterpiece so meaningfull. unfortunately the richess and the message of the book is missing, turned it as a simple love story. actors tried their best particulary vidya ballan and sabyasachi chakraborty (always a pleasure to see bengali actors). this movie could have been better and should have....

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE, it's kind of brilliant and so romantic.

Saif is awesome in this movie.

  • such a good movie thanks for posting! :)

  • Great movie...thank you so much for sharing with subtitles!!

  • when was this movie made?

  • i am wondering, had girish not stopped car and left. By the time, Shekhar would have broken the wall and lolita might have reached London. I mean, couldn't he directly go to lolita rather than creating such drama :-)

  • Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I love this movie. I must have watched it like more than 10 times and it still has the same effects. Never fails to leave a lump in my throat or bring a smile on my lips. Thank you.

  • nice movie i wanted to watch but dut to some reason i could not ...i really enjoy good movie

  • I loved this movie. Great music, beautiful scenes

  • LOL at all the chicks flipping out. Anyways I like Sharat Chandra's contrast between Shekar and Devdas. Devdas always reminded me of Hamlet because they were both unable to act when it mattered; with this character I feel as if Devdas's inability was made up through the actions of a man who recognized the societal barriers just in time to save his love. I just wish they detailed the purpose of breaking down that wall because it's important and the public might have missed it.

  • as much as i love this movie and the ending i just cnt help thinkng why the hell didnt shekhar just go through the gate like he did earlier

  • omg!!!! loved this movie!!!!!!!! sooo beautiful!!!

  • Very very veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy nice and simple MOVIE!!!!

    loves it!♥:)

  • great movie...........

  • thank youu sooooooooooooooooo much to upload it !!!

I love the movies you have choose!!

  • ok, so after finally finishing this, I wanted to go back and watch it again, it was that good!

  • absolute phenomenal film rom bollywood

    i lovveeeddd it !

saif ali was the best actor ever specially in the ending bits, from when he finds out lolita and girish r not married and he realises he was in t the wrong,, rom that point his acting reaches the top

i loved the movie and saif's acting, best acting here rather than what he has done in any other film...

  • gr8 film after a long time

  • film çok güzeldi bence. perfect

  • I mean, did anyone think of how easy it was to break down the wall? I mean, one man with a 'fountain statue' and a shovel at one point? LOL. I'm not making fun -- this is my favorite Bollywood film. But for people to watch him and not help out is hilarious. And of course, EPIC.

  • @c1dra haha, yea...all I could think was, "that was some poorly built wall if it could break so easily"

  • @Bitha4 hhaha he didnt break i that easily took him forever

  • What a nice way of showing a love story on cinema. Lets hope all directors learn something after seeing this movie. Thanks for the upload.

  • This is one of my favorite Indian films. It was wonderful watching it again. Thanks for posting it.

  • I love it.

  • Nice Movie..!!!!..that make me cry....ohh so Meloww...

  • gem of a movie !!!

  • What a drama.... Nice movie!

  • beautiful movie...........it is amazing........

  • why would the other people just stand there and watch him, why wouldn't they try to help him

  • Atta Boy Shekhar

  • The writer of this novel is SARAT CHANDRA CHATTOPADHAY not Sarat Chandra Basu.

  • the writer of this novel is the famous bengali writer SARAT CHANDRA BASU who also wrote novel DEVDAS. really a great writer

  • how come my tears comes up everytime whenever i watched this movie!

  • Flashback to the current time:

I wish rich Marwari youths would break walls to marry poor Bengali girls. After all, whatever is left of Kolkata's real estate, including heritage structures, dating back to the era of the Brahmo Samaj days, is being gradually taken over by Marwari promoters.

It would not hurt that much if these stinking rich promoters married some displaced poor Bengalis as well.

    Cheers!!

  • loved the movie.realy realy good.dont men think women r born to b abused?verbal n physical abuse here was just normal.....sick world.

  • Wouldn't just goign around the door to get Lolita be easier (I know the metaphorical meanign of the wall) I got good laugh out of Shekhar's attempt at breaking the wall. HAHAHAHA...

  • it was a symbolic rebellion against all his dad did and stood for to the world - it proved to Lolitha that her husband stood by her..:-)

  • @aminach1 Great film and yeah I suppose the whole wall breaking is symbolic. But I would have laughed my arse off if the wall collapsed as Shekhar tried to pass underneath it.

  • thanks for the upload

  • Lol. He would've known at first that his foot really can't break the wall. And he tried with so many things that could'nt neither.

  • such a nice end............no words for comment

  • thank u for sharing

  • how stupid!! he should have used his dad's expensive gate!!

  • lol u dont understand.. that is called symbolistic and metaphorical.. well his breaking wall specifies something.. he did that coz first he wanted to break the wall between two families and barrier of misunderstandings between them..breaking that wall means the enemity between two families is destroyed. get it? why r u specifying the word expensive . seenms lyk u r his dad.. specifying just money..lol just kiddin

  • c'mon man i was just kidding!! lol !! and ya thanks for the information!! and just a film i know!! everyone knows i'm jus joking!! dont take it seriously!! ya thanks anyway!! tc mate!!

  • lol sorry abt that whole essay then.. i thought u were serious.. some people make mockery out it so i was just tryin to put some sense..lol nothing personal.. anyways thanks for appreciation

  • LOVED IT!!! ♥

  • his attempts to break the wall are just ridiculous.. brings the whole climax down

  • ROFLMAO I know. I was like wow what the hell is he doing and then I cracked up and just waited for him to finish it.

  • lol u dont understand.. that is called symbolistic and metaphorical.. well his breaking wall specifies something.. he did that coz first he wanted to break the wall between two families and barrier of misunderstandings between them..breaking that wall means the enemity between two families is destroyed. get it?

  • Well Sharat Chandra Chatterji was very aware of social and class system. He grew up in a struggling family and was pretty poor growing up, his family often lived on money from relatives. Even Davdas "the polar novel of Parineeta" was about class system. I know he didnt mention 'breaking of the wall' in his book, but I think even here it was more of a metaphorical meaning of breaking the barriers of class and caste system - a homage to Sharat Chandra Chatterji.

  • thanks for helping.. btw i did not know much abt him so i cud not write such an excellent answer

  • @rezuldazzle very nicely put.

  • wow beautiful ending

  • nice mvi... thanks for the upload

  • this is bullshit!! why the hell did she not slap him and make him beg for forgiveness before hugging him???

  • Absolutely agree. I don't like this film for this very reason.

  • that is called true love

  • i guess it would than show that she is no different from him...

but ya....if u were in her place .... id make him feel like shit b4 i took him back

  • @SummerScentt I would have said so what do you have to say for yourself and made him apalogize before i hugged him.

  • @Eebrln I KNOW RIGHT!!!!!!! XD SHE SHOULD HAVE MADE HIS ASS SUFFER!!!!!

  • @Eebrln Because she's a woman...we deal better with the matters of the heart than men :D

  • @Eebrln i see where you're coming from but their story is one that pretty much follows the first song - "the eyes say everything". they never say 'i love you' either, because it's not necessary - it's such an obvious thing. When he stands before her, you'll see him shake his head slightly, and that's enough for her to realise how sorry he really is. note that lolita has her pride and dignity - she stands up for herself to his father, and she would stand up to shekhar if she felt the need.

  • wow gr8 movie loved it so much. thanx 4 uploading.

  • such a good movie filled with passsion and love i loved it......espec vidya performance wow!!!!

  • THANKYOU SOOOOOO MUCH!!! a wonderful movie and I loved it!!!!

  • i LOVE this movie. thanks for the upload and the awesome quality!

  • one of the most :O movies of my lifetime. Godly!

  • GREAT!!!

    love it!!!!

  • wow! i loved that movie... i think its my new favorite bollywood film. that was great it really made me feel what the characters were feeling.

  • omg best movie ever!!! thanks for the upload

  • umm..im sorry is there no GATE?

  • More than anything, I think this movie shows how parents and filial duty still towers over the Hindu society. Even though Saif's character was weak, I can relate to wanting to please his parents cause I'm the same way and sometimes it hurts, a lot.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • thank u for a good movie.

  • thanx for uploading good quality videos of this outstanding movie

  • That was great! Thanks!!

  • nice movie

  • nice movie ........love it ..saif ali khan is great

  • awesom movie..its so true fight for your love

  • thank you sooooo much!

  • thanks

  • my all time fav movie...esp cuz of the brilliant characters....frm shekhar to his father..to lolita to girish and even ajit...

every character is brialliantly etched..the protagonist isnt 100% pure good...he has all the human emotions which makes him very life like and not filmy...

i can go on n on talking about it and i will fall short of words......excellent movie!!!

  • @freesoul2000

meena kumari's parineeta was 10X better

  • We should all thank the Great Sarat Chandra Chaterjee for this great novel and penning such brilliant and believable characters.

  • awesome movie

  • Oh God i was really worried that the end will be like Devdas but I am glad we got rewarded for our time spent watching the movie.

  • They're willing to cheer him but not help him break the wall?

  • he is the one who misunderstood lolita. I think no one helpd him bc he nedded to prove to all that he loves lolita as much as she loves him and he is not weak, he can go against his father for her.

  • @chouds even Lolita should've told me that she's not married to Girish. Just b/c nobody told him, he misunderstood everything. so he's not at all at fault.

  • great Movie!!

  • lovely story nice movie thanks for uploading.....

  • aahhhhhhhhh :) so coool

  • Aww so cute. loved the ending.. happy tear!

  • whats this playing in the background when the credits are playing?

  • a great movie! love it...thanx for uploading..

  • 'Ajith' has done a great job !!!

  • Thanks for uploading!!!Awesome movie!

  • OH HAPPINESS!

I retract any mean comments about Shekar... he redeemed himself in the end. But that wall was not very well built... a bird bath? That isn't the point for he turned his EPIC FAIL into an EPIC WIN! Actually, I was really surprised when I learned that Koel was Girish's wife instead... they make such a cute couple :]

    Thank you~

  • If I am in his place i would rather use the door or climb up the wall... or use the proper demolation tool.

rather then spending my energry to taking down the wall....

  • lol didn't u see the entrance was right next to where he was breaking the wall.lol

  • The orginal story by Sarathchandra Chatterjee had a very simple ending sans any melodrama. Lolita was in Shekhar's house helping his mother out and Shekhar's father had been dead for years.

  • the wall he is breaking is not just a wall, but a metaphor for the new sekhar breaking away from the binds put forth by his father, breaking away towards freedom, breaking away towards a new life with his wife. So it is important that this wall must be broken and only by him. Its of metaphorical significance in the movie and should not be taken literally.Everyone knows that he could have gone to the other side of wall in many ways. But breaking the wall an important step showing his determinantion.

  • muchas gracias thanks a lot this movie is amazing bollywood is great

  • i loved the ending, over all it is a great movie. Saif too cute.

  • I have been waiting to see this movie and so glad you made it possible. I cried many times but also cheered at the great ending.
