My district STILL uses those buses. While I admire them from a technical standpoint, ours are in horrid condition and I just don't think they're very safe for transporting 80 kids. =(
Absolutely gorgeous! Looks almost brand new. Driving along the freeway south of Yakima, Washington...I see lots of them along their school bus routes going through the orchards on the side roads...real nice...I remember Bend, Oregon having LOTS of Crowns.
hey u stole r bus...lol i am in 6th grade and i ride on a 79 crown number 22 but it is very loud our bus driver rather dive a manual than a auto because "it requires more effort" i dont like it it only gets news talk radio and country but i live but e exit dirlls are fun for the little ones a 10 foot drop lol one little kid says its like 40 ft lol
@kimballfamilyproduct The hell they have. What makes you say that? MUSD, here in CA has quite a few of them still in use every day. So do neighboring school districts.
Gotta love the old Crown school buses. The school district I lived in had a whole fleet of those. Unfortunatly they don't have them any more, I wonder what they did with them? They also had some old Chevy buses as well.
@pskittle488 well they recycle them for metal the district pays dumps to take them but a few survive and get sold ask the transportation department in your area for the school district of course and ask what they do and maybee they will let u buy on at the end of the school year
@brobinson75 i ride in bus 22 to school every day now it looks just like this bus ous district sanger,ca has a lot of thes type of buses and gillig manual to but mostly crown old ones
