  • Let's get some shoes!

    Let's party!

  • The last entry on The Gaylords website was in 2005 and said that Bert Bernaldi was still singing along with a son of Ronnie's. Does anyone know if they are still entertaining under the name The Gaylords. They were a great group

  • "Petit cordonnier t'es bête, bête !

    Qu'est c'que t'as donc dans la tête, tête " ^^

A cool old french song, we sing it in villages, with grannies ^^ ( it's for children too ^^)

    a pretty song :)

  • Cobblers!

  • I love this song!

And nearly all the online postings of the lyrics have the Italian wrong.

    Here's the chorus in Italian:

    Le scarpine per ballare, ballare,

    Balleremo tutt' il dì.

    Le scarpine per ballare, ballare

    Balleremo ancor' così.

  • he didnt finish the fucking shoe...

  • Yes, he did. This guy just didn't steal the rest of the video...

  • I love this song! Now I want to watch Pinnocchio!

  • This is a great song by the world famous THE GAYLORDS!!!

  • Ah - the summer of '54 ... Jerry's Drive In, Burlington Iowa ... we'd only use nickels in the Seeburg wall unit for the juke box ... the coin holder would fill up and jam and we'd get a week's songs for free ... the guy would come to change records every two weeks, and boy would he be pissed ... this was one of my favorite songs, along with anything by Joni James ... what a great time!!!!

  • Wonderful song by a great group.

  • musica linda

  • very interesting! and funny song

  • In our city of Lebanon, PA there is an Italian Shoemaker-authentic. With all the usury imports from China etc, we have sacrificed excellence for cheap labor and cheap products. I have my real leather belts made by this cobbler. I will present him with my record on cassette of this song.

  • thats gangsta!

  • Great memories from the summer of 1954. The Gaylords were one of my favorite groups from that era.

  • awesome song!!!

  • I used to listen to this 45 which was one of my parents...I remember loving it and remember it had a black colored label! I could identify the songs by the color and logo on the label before I could read.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • I've been waiting for this song to be posted for the longest time. Thanks.

It first came out in the days when a group could call itself "The Gaylords" and nobody would snicker. :)
