You cannot prove in any way that it's real, and I can prove with historical fact that the Western traditions were stolen from previous belief systems as well as astronomy and astrology, and I can also prove that the origins of the church are shady at best.

@Scarletbull The whole origin of "the devil" didn't really come about until the New Testament, because they needed a scapegoat to blame the problems of mankind on. It was the archetypal "boogey man." Satan, or "shai'tan" simply means DECEIVER. I believe in multiple levels of existence, with forces unseen, but do I believe that the Western traditions are absolutely true? Nope. They contain nuggets of wisdom, based mostly in morality, but I do not believe that they are truly divine in nature.

@Scarletbull I watch plenty of documentaries too, but I also read books and study with experts in the field. How do you know your sources are legitimate? Like I've said, there are some dark elements in any walk of life, including Freemasonry, but a couple bad apples does not spoil the whole tree. I have a very open mind and I agree that the Western world is built upon lies in many ways, but my whole point of contention is in the definition of these powers ("good" or "evil") which you speak of.

@Scarletbull On a human level, it can be argued that there is objective moral truth. I am a virtue ethicist myself, not a relativist at all. However, once we transcend the human level I am inclined to believe that all things are just DEGREES of polarity. Perceived "good" and "evil" are the same thing, just to differing degrees of polarity. Equilibrium is what should be maintained, because leaning too far to EITHER side causes disharmony and chaos, and cannot last.

@Scarletbull Simply put - do I believe in higher "good" forces? Yes. Do I believe in higher "negative" forces? Yes. Can I claim to know what they are? Nope. People may do rituals and magic for nefarious purposes, but there's also people out there that do the same for purposes that most people would consider "good" outside of the dogma of Christianity. In life nothing is black or white. Yeshua certainly was a moral exemplar, but I have serious doubts as to his actual divinity.
