  • Brilliant and a must try...thanks mucho!

  • I love this recipe!!! I can't wait to try it.

  • @sealyba she said 400

  • I've made this recipe 3 times and it's great next time I would brine the Chicken just so the meat has more flavor. Diva needs to post the oven temp so important. I cook at 375.

  • All of the video's of yours that I have viewed are awesome!

  • Awesome video! This is the way I prepare chicken, but I've never cooked it in the oven like this! For seasoning, I use OLD Bay( crab seasoning, black pepper & poultry seasoning.) I will be adding paprika! I'm glad I ran across this video! I'm going to make this on Super Bowl Sunday! Thanks!

  • have u tried spraying the chicken w/ pam. i heard that helps w/ the crisping and more evel coats the chicken

  • Looks great! I might have to try making this sometime :)

  • She sounds more tasty than the chicken.

  • @tonypie28 She is so bright and bubbly. Like a ice cold bottle of chardonnay.Yummy.

  • I tried this last night and it came out so gross! I hate making oven fried chicken because I always taste the gritt when I take it out of the oven and I can still taste the chalkiness of the flour. Some off the white flour was still on the chicken when it finished baking. I threw the whole batch away, :-( It's me not the recipe so I'm not putting down the Diva...I know I messed up somewhere.

  • @mdooms76 Are you kidding me? You threw away a whole batch of chicken? Never ever would i have done that. I sometimes burn my steaks a little because i'm on the computer while the steaks are cooking. But i eat them anyway. Waste not want not. LOL.

  • I'm going to try this today! On my way to the store now for the ingredients! I'm going to fix it with her mac and cheese and yeast rolls... First try on all recipes so I'm excited to see how it turns out.

  • Cooking this tonight

  • Cooking this today! Going in my fav :o)

  • um that looks good!

  • I love oven fried chicken because they serve oven fried chicken at my school!!!

  • true tip about the paprika in the flour. It will have a more burnt flavor. So do add it to the chicken first if u like it..

  • i did this today and it was great!!!! thank you so much for sharing this =)

  • I am new to youtube. Can you tell me where to find the seasonings info?

  • @83prettyblack click the show more tab above, underneath the video. It has a link to her website, for all the detailed recipes.

  • I tried this recipe today and It was so good, The chicken was so moist and tender in the inside and nice and crunchy on the outside and it was not greasy, which is the good thing. Thanks for sharing this recipe. I will absolutely try this recipe again

  • What should the oven temperature be. I missed it in the video and I couldn't find it on your blog. Thanks.

  • What does paprika do?

Can I also fry it instead of baking it?

  • I tried this recipe yesterday. I substituted some of the spices because I didn't have them, but it turned out so well! It was absolutely delicious! I wanted to use all the chicken in my fridge before it went bad so I had leftovers for today. Surprisingly, the chicken was just as good the second day. It was still juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Thanks for this recipe!

  • you rock!!!!!

    THIS LOOKS REAL GOOD

I AM MAKING THIS WITH CHICKEN BONELESS SKINLESS BREAST IN A FEW!!!!!!!!!

SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS BUT I AM EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    YUM!!!!!!!

  • Your singing directions isn't helping my hungry stomach, It just makes me think of how good it going to be once you've done fried them legs... :o(

  • This is definitely a healthier option. Olive oil has a lot of health benefits. I love your videos! I'm a Vegetarian, But when I think about having friends over, I run to your videos to find dishes to prepare for them! lol

  • Girl you are the Bomb.com, keep it coming lady!

  • Yummie

  • THIS REALLY LOOKS GOOD.. THANKS

  • Hi, can I coat the chicken just once with flour or do I have to coat it twice. Will it taste any different if I just coat the chicken once? Thanks in advance!

  • Wow gotta try this way thnx for sharing

  • I made this chicken yesterday and was delicious!!!

  • Trying this tonight. I hope it tastes good =)

  • looks good , i'll be trying it !!

  • I love this video and I will be trying it...THANKS

  • This by far is the best oven fried chicken recipe I have found on youtube. t

  • for some reason no matter how much I season my chicken or flour it always tastes like...well like nothing. Will it help if I marinate it over night?

  • how to broil in a gas qven? love your videos

  • what temp. is the oven supposed to be set at?

  • I am so happy to have found your video! I can't wait to try this recipe! Thank you for sharing! I really appreciate it!

  • I love this.... I have tried it 3 times... however... my oven smokes up REALLY bad from the "drip" of the chicken... the 2nd and 3rd time I tried I did not add the butter mix... but still same result... Any suggestions? The chicken is TASTY... but the smoke is scary... any suggestions... (oven is clean, the smoke only happens when I try this method)

  • @ab82510 are you using a pan underneath the wire rack?

  • @SistaSledge101 orginally I did not... I have since learned that I should try to prepare it with a pan underneath with water in it to absorb the drips. I am looking forward to trying this out again using this new found information. Have you had success using this method??

  • do you need to use butter or can i not use it at all?

  • I tried this tonight and I am in love! It came out so good. Thank you for another great recipes

  • I had a terrible grease accident when I was younger, so I kind of shy away from frying any kind of food, I barely like to be in the kitchen where there is any hot liquid, but watching your videos have helped me conquer my fear of the kitchen Thank you:)

  • Ok I did'nt know but now I do...Diva's can cook LOL!!!

  • @jongreen1966 Yes, all divas can cook!!!!

  • OMG!!! I finally made this recipe and it is great!!!! I tweaked it a bit buy adding my homemade marinade but followed the rest of the recipe. Thank you so much!!! This receipe was just like fried chicken without the grease!!!!. My waist line thanks you too!!!! :)

  • Bake for 40 minutes on what temperature

    ?

  • @jackvenomkills

follow the links in the info box, she has detailed recipes on her site/blogspot

  • I made this a week ago and my husband is still raving about it. The melted butter toward the end made the crust soooo crunchy! I love your recipes!

  • OMG! She coughed on the chicken.

  • I will try this :)

  • Mmmm.. lol

  • When my chicken is frying, it bleeds. How do I get the blood out so I won't have this problem? Oh, sometimes I have one or two pieces that still bleed when I take it out of the grease. I don't want to burn it but what am I doing wrong?

  • uuhh looks so good!! I have to try this!

  • Guess this is what I'm making for dinner tonight. :) Thanks for sharing.

  • Question: What washing method do you use? Do you just use water, or do you soak your chicken in water and vinegar?

  • I don't have a grill rack but I just put mine directly on the oven rack and put a foil lined pan on the rack beneath it, basically same thing and worked fine

  • I want to try this but I don't have a grill rack :-(

  • I was just about to try this.... but I don't have a racK!!!! Will this come out the same if I lay it directly on the pan? Or will it be hard and flat on the side the chicken lays on? ThankS!!!

  • My local grocery store sells their breading - I love their chicken wings - so that's one less step for me. Will give this a go and let you know how it turns out. Thanks for sharing your expertise!

  • I'm going to try this next week. Thanks for the recipe and helping me learn how to cook

  • I was so excited about this recipe until you got to the butter/olive oil mixture.....I've been searching for a oven fried chicken recipe that doesn't involve bread crumbs (hate the texture of them)...I loved your reg. fried chicken recipe but I really need something healthier these days, but with all of that added fat I say, health-wise, you might as well fry it. I guess this would be ok for beginnners like test804 that for some reason find frying dangerous. Thanks anyways. I might give it a go.

  • @JTuesday777 I think this chicken is a lot healthier than frying. It doesn't have to sit in lard or vegetable oil to fry. You can def. cut the butter back, athough it's not much butter and increase the olive oil.

  • @divascancook I love your channel! My girlfriend loves fried food but she can't eat too much of it so this is perfect. Thank you so much! :D

  • @MyHatori Thanks so much!!!

  • @divascancook Just wanted to let you know that I tried this method and it was great. I cut the new ingredients however and just used the same flour combination and marination process as you have up for your regular fried chicken. Sorry for doubting the healthier persona of this recipe. What I didn't realize that would happen that happened during the cooking process is that AT LEAST 3/4ths of the fats added on top of the chicken ran off and dripped onto the lower pan. Who would have figured!

  • @JTuesday777 i use corn flakes (the 99 cent store brand ones) for my oven fried chicken. maybe give that a try? my recipie is similar to this one, i just dip my chicken in the crushed corn flakes the second time instead of more flour.and no butter olive oil mix needed!

  • @JTuesday777 What exactly is wrong with butter and olive oil? I think you have it all wrong here. Butter, from grass-fed cows is so much healthier than any other oils out there. Coconut oil, palm oil, butter, ghee, lard, and olive oil are the best oils out there. Canola oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, corn oil, vegetable shortening from hydrogenated vegetable oils are full of trans fats and detrimental to your health. Sounds to me like you need to stop listening to conventional health advice.

  • @JTuesday777 If you want classic fried chicken you need to accept the fact that it won't be as healthy as a salad. lol.

  • Cool! I will be making this.

  • Just did this with pork chops YUM!!!

  • i am definitely going to try....ease up on the grease...cholesterol! thanks monique

  • BTW. I am so going to try this...I just dont have a rack YET. The only racks I have are cooling racks--not sure how they would work in the oven. I don't want to find out.

  • Kind of related and kind of off topic. I always wonder about what other people do to prepare their chicken for cooking. Do you clean/wash your chicken before cooking?

  • @itskena yep I wash and dry it. If I remember I also let it soak in buttermilk and hot sauce for a few hours to get it really juicy.

  • Tried this today. Came out delicious and tasted just like it was "fried". Will definitely put this in the dinner rotation. As always keep the great recipes coming.

  • @lafemme8 Thanks for trying it out! Glad you liked it!

  • I'm trying this right now. I'll let you know how it goes :)

  • Love it Monique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I 'LIKE' and 'Favorite' ya vids before I even watch!LOL! Lookks sooo delish! Thanx gal!

  • @BeauGorgeousNatural Awww thank you so much!!!

  • Looks delish! Tx!

  • Nice!!

  • I actually have a scar on my hand from pan frying chicken. YOU are brilliant!!!!

  • This looks AMAZING! Also, so much healthier than deep frying. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe! I will definitely try this out. ;)

  • OMG Makes me so hungry. Ramadan is Monday, Muslim friends, so eat hearty today! lol

  • Can u please show me how to make lemon pepper chicken :-)

  • I will give this a try....looks so good. I can just look at the crunch...

  • I'm definitely going to try that with maybe some white bass fillets. PS, If you breaded/coated the meat, do you really need extra bread/white flour?? That's why I can never understand "fried catfish" sandwiches??!!

  • do you think this would still be food without putting the flour on it

  • Looks great, thank you for sharing!

  • i love fried chicken but i want that biscuit that was on ur plate......lol thanks for the video

  • THANKS FOR THE RECIPE

  • Looks good! Gonna have to make some soon :)

  • This looks just stinkin' delicious and I am wishing I could sink my teeth into it right now!

  • Yummy. Thanks.

  • Now this I must def give a go real soon :-P

  • i loveeeeeeeee oven fried...diva...try lathering it with mustard under the coating...it's DELISH!

  • @the1lique does it make it tangy or spicy?

  • @kareemtiheed

Not really because it's really subtle...but what it does is act sort of like a salt...so you know how salt brings forth flavor...well the mustard brings forth the seasonings really well so they are in the foreground and not the background (if I am making any sense...lol) so you dont want it Dripping in Mustard. You just want it to be used as the adhesive for the seasoning (like the egg was used). In traditional frying it makes the skin crispy as can be and yum-o-licious...lol

  • @the1lique Now when i make it and don't like it...imma send you that batch via UPS. LOL

  • Girl, you need your own show on food network! Your recipes are always on point plus you have an infectious personality..which are all great for tv

  • Looks amazing. I've done this before but I never coated with olive/butter mixture. I will try. Thanks for sharing.

  • What temperature should the oven be?

  • This is so freakin' good. Thanks 4 sharing.

  • I will definitely be trying this, for some reason when I fry chicken it burns the hell outta my eyes. I tried turning the oil down and it still does it. So this recipe is a must!! Thanks for sharing!

  • I'll be trying this recipe real soon... looks delicious!!!

  • Forgive me, but I wish I was one of your children.

  • @mccain95 LoL

  • I love oven fried chicken I only use eggs, melted butter, and bread crumbs.

  • Thanks for sharing your version. I like the idea of using your spice blend first on the raw meat. I will give this a try for sure!

  • so trying this for sunday lunch here in the beautiful barbados !!!

get guys check out rihanna loud tour here in her home town !!!!!

  • Looks good but I will suggest that you can use the reynolds wrap non stick foil on your baking sheet and spray the chicken with olive oil. I have one those gourmet olive oil sprayers but if you don't have one Pam makes olive oil spray as well. I turn over the chicken once during cooking.

  • Cant wait to try this

  • Girl you are the bomb!

  • you will think im nuts but i don't care lol, that chicken look like a brand i use called Harvestland! lol

  • @LaydeeKye Girl you KNOW your chicken because it's Harvestland LOL It's one of the only kind of chicken brands I buy.

  • im going to try this thnks =))

  • i have got to try that

  • do you know how to make tender chicken breast strips, mines always come out tough in the oven

  • @msrayson Do you let them soak in buttermilk first?

  • @msrayson also, chicken tenders cook really quick! you most likely over cook them!!

  • @msrayson I boil my chicken breast strips to get them tender. Afterwards I'll season, batter etc... the strips. Then fry or bake them.

  • Respond to this video... I prefer to boil and bake my chicken over frying w/ oil too.

  • love this recipe..Is ok to just grease the pan if you dont have the grilling rack?

  • It looks really good!

  • omg i hate frying chicken its so dangerous Thank youu!!!!

  • I always wanted to master oven fried chicken. This looks easy and sooo good. Thanks so much for sharing
