one thing you might want to try is when you cook the house putting the gummies with the house, it normally works for me, i do a test to see how long it takes for them to melt in the oven and just add them in. if some leaks out i put that on inside :)
Awesome job - and I must say, your video editing is superb as well!
i've always wanted to make one of these - well, at least when i was a kid - maybe if I get to spend some time with some of my nieces i could do this project! I've actually bought one of the one's you get from wal mart (the gingerbread house kit) - but never actually made it (wonder what happened to that?)
Wow, Tammy!! You totally rock. Even stained glass windows. I would never attempt anything like this. Just imagine if you had a kitchen aid. Seven minutes would seem like a breeze hahaha I may just go ahead and get one of the cheapo ones until I can afford the real thing.
oh my Lord this is gorgeous. I am almost tempted to take a day off of work to do this. Absolutely beautiful.
I received a kitchen aid type mixer (can't remember the brand) when I was first married as a gift, but it did a short time later (after warranty of course).
I've alway made do with hand held type mixers since then. For 95% of the baking I do, it is fine.
Oh wow, it's coming along nicely. So each section must dry before you add the next?? I do like that you showed the cans of food to use for bracing. Clever indeed. G'nite.
You need to let the completed house dry before trying to put on the decorations. The icing dries fast and a few hours would do the trick. I would love to say that I came up with the can idea, but I read it in a magazine!
I hope that you had a great time at the office party. Reece watched this video with me. Now I have been commanded to make one as well. I don't know, we'll see. Oh, I hope there isn't some horrible story about why there isn't some beautiful final shot.
WOW, I love your method for stained glass windows! The house looks so great and so yummy! Did your sidekick start eating the house before you got a shot of the finished product! LOL I am looking forward to the next video!
Another cliff hanger! I hope nobody sat on it or something. Or the building inspector had a problem with it. You did get all the right permits didn't you?
I was waiting for the final showing of the finished house, Tammy. Now I am worried something tragic happened. Can't wait for tomorrow. This is like a Perils of Pauline cliff hanger.
Tammy, you keep amazing me! lol The house is fantastic...especially the stained glass; I'd have never guessed that is how it's done. Looking forward to a piccie of the finished "real mcCoy"....so far it is looking so good. Max has done it again.."tweetment"!! Good one, Max. Jacquie (UK) x

Outcome of house not so hot...:(
All the gory details tomorrow.
Buy one of those kits you can get just about anywhere, the cookies are really tough and easy to handle.
Max made one of his own using the a kit today.
