  • ooooh looks good

  • Hi Tammy, I don;t understand how to pipe icing with the cookie gun. Please help.

  • Great looking gingerbread house !! Wish i lived in one so i can eat it LOL :D

  • I wouldn't want to eat that!!

  • one thing you might want to try is when you cook the house putting the gummies with the house, it normally works for me, i do a test to see how long it takes for them to melt in the oven and just add them in. if some leaks out i put that on inside :)

  • thumbs up if u are watching dis when it is't christmas

  • @Thetom5000 lol!

  • @Thetom5000 im watching and not christmas its febuary 16

  • sooo cutee ;D

  • the windows idea is great can you use almost any hard candys even jolly ranchers?

  • As long you use any hard candies, so jolly rancher candies are fine.

  • great!!! love ur glasses!!~~~

  • Thanks!

  • ok I watched the next vlog explanation... that house was awesome I cannot beleive it imploded.

  • You better skip the next vlog and live happily every after, lol.

    Thanks for watching!

  • It looks like this turned out really nice. You did a great job!

  • It turned out nice for about an hour, the roof collapsed shortly after!! Oh well. :)

  • OH NO!!! That is the kind of luck I would have!

  • Wow Tammy!

Awesome job - and I must say, your video editing is superb as well!

i've always wanted to make one of these - well, at least when i was a kid - maybe if I get to spend some time with some of my nieces i could do this project! I've actually bought one of the one's you get from wal mart (the gingerbread house kit) - but never actually made it (wonder what happened to that?)

    lol

    mike

  • It took me forever to edit the darn thing, thanks for the appreciation.

  • This is very cool Tammy, Max is one lucky kid!

  • Thanks Daryl, he actually thought the house falling apart was pretty cool, lol

  • It came out very nice indeed! Even if you had a coton candy Tornado come through its no problem.. You can eat the debris and rubble happily :)

  • Lol @ cotton candy tornado!

Actually you are close to the truth about what really happened to the house.

  • Wow, Tammy!! You totally rock. Even stained glass windows. I would never attempt anything like this. Just imagine if you had a kitchen aid. Seven minutes would seem like a breeze hahaha I may just go ahead and get one of the cheapo ones until I can afford the real thing.

oh my Lord this is gorgeous. I am almost tempted to take a day off of work to do this. Absolutely beautiful.

  • Beth,

I received a kitchen aid type mixer (can't remember the brand) when I was first married as a gift, but it did a short time later (after warranty of course).

I've alway made do with hand held type mixers since then. For 95% of the baking I do, it is fine.

The house turned out ok, while it lasted..

  • Oh wow, it's coming along nicely. So each section must dry before you add the next?? I do like that you showed the cans of food to use for bracing. Clever indeed. G'nite.

  • You need to let the completed house dry before trying to put on the decorations. The icing dries fast and a few hours would do the trick. I would love to say that I came up with the can idea, but I read it in a magazine!

    Thanks Liz

  • Thank you Ashley!

  • That is AWESOME!!! Great job.

  • Thank you for the lovely comment, I do appreciate them very much.

  • That turned out to be a really cool house!! :D

  • At least for a little while....

  • Uh oh - I saw the ..'no ta da' shot. Looking forward to the tell all! :)

  • Thanks Lesli!

  • Tammy! That is a beautiful little house..:)

    Have a great day!!!

  • Thanks Eva,

Will have to find a Taz themed joke for you...hmmmm

  • Very cool Tammy!! OH gosh I hope the house wasn't accidentally broken. That royal icing..... it can be colored and put on cookies too can't it? Hugs!

  • Melissa

The fate of the house will be revealed tomorrow. :(

The royal icing can be tinted and used on cookies, yes.

  • I hope that you had a great time at the office party. Reece watched this video with me. Now I have been commanded to make one as well. I don't know, we'll see. Oh, I hope there isn't some horrible story about why there isn't some beautiful final shot.

Loved the joke! take care - jenn

  • Jenn,

Outcome of house not so hot...:(

    All the gory details tomorrow.

Buy one of those kits you can get just about anywhere, the cookies are really tough and easy to handle.

Max made one of his own using the a kit today.

  • Oh that turned out so cool! You did a great job with it! Wish I could have seen it all done though!:-( but that's okay! Thanks for doing this video!

  • I would have loved seeing it done too. :(

  • WOW, I love your method for stained glass windows! The house looks so great and so yummy! Did your sidekick start eating the house before you got a shot of the finished product! LOL I am looking forward to the next video!

  • Sidekick was stealing the "decorations" but that's not it.... :(

  • This was fascinating . I loved every second of it. Please tell me it wasn't accidentally broken...

  • No not quite accidentaly broken... :(

  • Another cliff hanger! I hope nobody sat on it or something. Or the building inspector had a problem with it. You did get all the right permits didn't you?

    Tweetment! That was fowl. ;)

  • Major structural issues Dave, would have been condemmed by a building inspector.. :(

  • very cool! can't wait til tomorrow. hope nothing bad happened to the house, but you said you put a light in it, so i'm guessing it's still intact.

    love the joke ;)

  • I usually put a light in my gingerbread houses...this one sadly will never see the light....

  • Ha ha ha ha I get it That was awsome Max Thank you :) You made my day :) tweetment!

Love the house. Will you have pics of it all done? You need to enter a contest Tee hee! This is a keeper!

  • The outcome wasn't great and not that interesting, will tell all tomorrow.

  • I was waiting for the final showing of the finished house, Tammy. Now I am worried something tragic happened. Can't wait for tomorrow. This is like a Perils of Pauline cliff hanger.

    - roc

  • Perils of who? Off to google.....

    Not tragic, but unfortunate.

  • Tammy, you keep amazing me! lol The house is fantastic...especially the stained glass; I'd have never guessed that is how it's done. Looking forward to a piccie of the finished "real mcCoy"....so far it is looking so good. Max has done it again.."tweetment"!! Good one, Max. Jacquie (UK) x

  • I would have loved to see the final result too. But I had a couple of problems.

  • Aww I wanted to see the Tah dah!

  • Sadly the tah dah moment is not to be... :(
