Very nice. I've cut my teeth on IL2 '46 for about 4 years or so on my low budget eMachines & 20 in. Acer screen, using a reliable Logitech Wingman stick.. I figure when the new Cliffs of Dover series get going with new add ons, (just like IL2), a 3 screen like this will be a poor mans cheap flight simulator. I look forward to it. I figure 3 more years or so & the hardware to make this happen will be common place & cheap enough.

Hi, I am trying to get this to work on my triple screen set up but still can't. I have tried everything I can think of but to no avail. I have changed the config files to various different resolutions but still only runs on 2 monitors, the middle and right ones. Do you have any suggestions?

P.s I am using Matrox's TH2Go @ 3840 X 1024 res, Thanks

@MrTeebone01 Ive not had this running on my 3 screens for a long time (my desktop pc is knackered) the only thing i remember was having to choose a really low resolution to get it working (but it still looked ok) - also have you used the triple head software to automatically adjust these older games?

Hey, How do I ' connect ' the three screens like that to one game? 'windowizing' the game and put it to the far left corner and drag it across to the last screens far top right?..

@HateIsAFeeling i recommend a digital (depending on monitor connections) triplehead2go box from matrox that will amend and handle the crazy resolutions that the games need to be to run on 3 mons,,, alot of new games have the correct resolutions now as standard so will run ok,,, or if not a triplehead2go box you may want to start buying into the new eyefinity graphics cards but they are sooo expensive for anything decent

I have the ATi 5850 and just picked up this game and was wondering how to get the resolution in game up to 5040x1050? As there is no option for that resolution in game. Do I have to edit the config file to get that resolution working?

@PaKaLoLo7704 Hi M8,,, this beleive it or not is only running at on directx 640x480x16,, but the matrox software has "amended" it for me,,, it is a pain in the ass thax it wont apply when you choose the 3840x1024,, my mons wont go up to 5040 so not sure bout that

Hi... unfortunately you do have to edit the conf.ini file in the root il-2 directory, you can use notepad. Near the top of the file, look for the resolution and set it to what you want. There's an option called "SaveAspect=1," shortly below... set that to "SaveAspect=0."

Thanx for comments,, try and find an old microsoft sidewinder on ebay or somethin (dont know if they still make them) but there very sturdy and comfy,, or just go pc world and find a cheap one loads out there!

oh and one more question, do all joysticks have the same plugins? becase i wouldn't know how to tell if a certain joystick would work on my computer

@RedFries3 well just go for a usb joystick,, (which they all are nowadays) just ensure that yiur pc has usb slots (check pics on the web to see what the look like first!!)

Mmm dunno what they go up to but i run all my other games on 3840x1024 with no problems,, =(

oh by the way does anyone know why i cant get the res up past 2400x600x32,, when i first installed the game im sure i could whack it up to the normal 3840x1024, all my other games will run at 3840 is there a patch or something?

Hi, thanks for comments, system is Intel core 2 quad q6600 @2.4ghz, 4gb ram, ATI Radeon HD 2900 XT X 2 crossfired up, Matrox triple head for the 3 screens, running on 64bit vista home, and a good old fashioned Microsoft sidewinder joystick =)))
