Personally, I found Wallace (I never played Sapphire/Ruby) easy because of my skeptile. Then lance was insanely hard because I picked grass again and by the time I got up to him, all I had was a slowbro and my Venasaur. I beat him later, but I used all my revives. Cynthia was hard, I still didn't beat her. And Blue was easy, I had used almost all my revives during the battle to prep myself for blue. The only one I TRULY knew I couldn't beat was Cynthia, her Garchomp would kill my starter fast.

My personal order of difficutly in beating the champions from hardest to easiest:

1.)Steven(I really struggled)

2.)Blue(Quite Difficult, I lost once and then won in an insanly close victory)

3.)Alder (suprisingly I found him harder than cynthia and I lost to him once)

4.)Cynthia(beat her on the first try but still my second favorite champ)

5.)Lance(cool but easy.... ice/rock attacks killed him)

Gary's theme is more like a death match than a League final. Lance's is so perfectly suited to his roster and style. (and the first time through you're probably going to hear it several times) Steven's is slightly boring. The best theme in Saph/Ruby/Emer was any of the legendaries. This battle was slightly surprising and I liked that the supposed boss' theme was slience. I don't know the guy at 5:00 but it's Stevens theme soooo. I didn't play anything after Sapphire so I can't pass judgment.

Without Gen 3 you would have no natures, you would not have contests, double battles, or even generation remakes. Gen 4 introduced half-assed additions to already decent Pokemon, cliche legendaries representing bullshit like time and space, and don't even get me started on the character/plot design they used. Entirely unoriginal and cliche.
