this song was one of my best gundam series song but this is after akatsuki (dawn) and field of hope ( episode 7) in my opinion only. perhaps one needs to watch Gundam Seed first before Watching Destiny since GS sets the stage for GSD. though at a glance one could assume as you have that Kira has caused alot of death. but by the same token one must remember that Shin also blames the entire Atha family for the loss of his family on Onogoro during the first great war in Gundam Seed. also like Patrick Zala Durandal had his own agenda that caused him to take on orb and the rest of the naturals.

By all means you can think the relationship with Steller and Shinn was good, but to me the relationship was so forced that i couldnt find anything to like about it.
dude Four Murasame was the same thing she was a cyber newtype developed to combat regular newtypes and she was used just like steller to fight battles as an indiscrimentent killing machine and using the promise of giving her memories back as inscentive., her relationship with kamille was handled better because she actually knew what she was doing and acknowledged that it was wrong, besides steller and shimn shared only one episode to get to know each other,the rest was her dying inbed
destiny was an expansion in order to make a lott of thing clear, but the developers messed up because it was only to be 3 episodes yet they made it in to an complete series.

@skellyme agreed. And on top of that they decided to randomly to make Shin and Lunamaria a couple at the end. Like one episode Luna so interested with Athrun, the next episode she is into Shin. But honestly it has been a tradition in Gundam series to have at least 1 psycho female. Oh and their relationship is similar to kamille and four too.
@cleoduxi get the Four relation but that connection is weak at best Four was a chracter people actually liked a her death was more tragic , in addtion it actually changed Kamille and moved his character development, where as stellers death was lack luster and shinn didnt change at all he just got more annoying and used her death as an outlet for his rage.Luna should have been his love interest from the start not a last minute thing, imo.

Well u can see clearly is the EA and the Logos is the only main troublesome in the whole story than the Zaft they got almost near of breaking point to capture Djibril until Kira ruin the show and made the story a failure.

Which is the most dangerous of all Djibril or Durandal? Durandal speech about the Logos action did not lie anything to the people. Fukuda : I have absolutely no such intention right from the start, because I always want to create a story where in the end Shinn loses everything except Lunamaria. I hope people don't misunderstand it, I don't think Shinn is incorrect (unjust? wrong?) at all. What Shinn and Dullindal have done are all for the good of the world, on the other hand Kira's side is the one which has somewhat deviated from the path of justice.

I'm not going to get into the argument here, but I agree with Superhero18 in the idea that the Destiny Plan is actually a good thing for the world. Even if someone is forced into mining, road work, etc. they can still pursue what they love on the side, like a hobby. Just because the Destiny Plan decides what you do for a career doesn't mean it decides what you do with the rest of your life.
@YuraRyuYasha The great thing about the Destiny Plan is it determines your skillsets! Who here wants to do something they aren't good at? And yet 90% of the time, that's what we as humanity do. What Shinn wanted was revenge over ORB because he is blaming them for his families death. From episode 1 Shinn show himself as an immature baby who can´t think about anything but revenge. We see that in the case with Stellar too. Shinn thought only about himself when he heard that it was Stellar who piloted the Destroy. He never thought about the hundreds of thousands, or even millions of people she had already killed. He only thought that Freedom and ORB had killed someone he loved again.
Luna was probably the best new character in Destiny, followed by Stella. Meyrin was awesome because she helped Athrun escape and it was a total surprise. Kira/Cagalli/Lacus were doing what they thought was best, the way they knew how, but my god... Shinn was just a bitchy, naive kid who thought that, somehow, he was the only one with problems. The only thing I liked about Shinn was that he tried to save Stella.
@Motogu Why does everyone see Shinn-kun that way? Shinn-kun saw his parents and his siblings die in front of his very eyes, why? Because the ORB union's ineptitude. All the way until the end, they actually launched war against a Nation that didn't lift a single gun against them. Not only once but twice(albeit, under the Djibril-controlled faction). Shinn-kun put on a uniform to prevent wars from ever happening again. He and Kira are the same. Shinn's honestly more realistic than Kira

It can't always be avoided in battle, but off the battlefield his reaction to the loss of friends is sorrow, unlike Shinn's reaction of vengeance. Shinn celebrates revenge, and fails to realize it causes the same death and destruction that killed his family, and I can't respect that. Honestly, my feelings would probably more resemble Shinn's than Kira's, but that's why I admired Kira more. He tried to find a better way.
@Motogu How else was Shinn supposed to feel? Should he have sympathy for his opponent on the battle field? Yeah, and find himself on a one-way trip to death. As Shinn said "We have to fight when the time comes, or else we can't protect anything not even ourselves". Shinn was following orders, as all excellent soldiers should do. Hesitation causes death.
@Superhero18 Shinn certainly had sympathy when he fought Stella in the Destroy. And Kira almost always has sympathy for those he fights - he tries to never kill anyone. But Kira survives and wins in the end. And, yes, Shinn is an excellent soldier, but he fails to question anything and remains static throughout the series. Like, was it really Orb who killed his family, or was it those who insisted on attacking Orb? And was it really Kira who killed Stella, or was it Neo for making her fight?

If you really think Shinn was right, then you would have doomed humanity to the Destiny plan. He was clearly portrayed that way, and he lost in the end because he was wrong.
Doomed humanity to the Destiny Plan? I am a Durandal Supporter and a supporter of the Destiny Plan, what we Humans truly accomplished with this freedom? For as much as we've supposedly accomplished, we accomplished much greater in destruction. The Destiny Plan eliminates the flaws of mankind, namely our inability to live within ourselves and it seeks to bring out our greatest individual talents. The DP doesn't put a sect of Humanity over the other, nor does it try to make everyone equal
The Destiny Plan in short, takes Humanity in consideration and is for Humanity. We NEED a Destiny Plan more than anything today, the world we Humans face in reality, is far worse than that of the world in GSD. There are so many groups of people who want to aspire for violence, death and destruction and so few that want peace. A Destiny Plan allows those who want peace to prosper and those who want violence, don't even exist.

@Motogu There's so many secrets our DNA holds, hell from our DNA it is now possible to identify someone, identify one's parents. Whose to say our genetic genes can't feasibly tell us of our strengths and weaknesses? Durandal wasn't playing God, and even Captain Ramius mentioned that. Genes would rule in the ideal world, with Durandal as an overseer. Think of him as a safeguard to the system, in the improbable case something goes wrong. The DP is needed in this world.
@Superhero18 Under the DP, nobody would have the option of trying anything new because they would be forced into their jobs from birth. Are you saying people should live 70 years doing the same thing everyday? What would be the point of life then? People do not necessarily want to do what they're best at, and inevitably people will realize that and rebel. And then they'll be suppressed or killed for rebelling. People would hate the DP, and there would be just as much war with it as without it.

The Destiny Plan gives us the knowledge to be able to not only avoid those mistakes altogether but to do both what's right and what we truly wanted to do. No second guessing ourselves, no letting outside influences affect your decision. You will live as you were meant to live. In effect, God desired this world. Hence, he didn't want man to eat the fruit of knowledge. For with that knowledge, came the indecisiveness and the wickedness that binds us today.

It's not what's best for us; it's what we're best at. Consider a man created to work coal mines: He'll be put at risk of black lung and mine collapses. It's what he's best at, but is mining what's best *for* him?
@Motogu People were not created for one singular "task", but rather, tasks that have to deal with their specific talents. Using your example of the coal mine worker, firstly that's making an assumption it'll collaspe and mistakes will happen. But hey, someone has to do that job :D. But if he's a coal mine worker, he must have alot of persistence and strength right? He could equally build a house, or help with the roads. His creativity is his skill, the DP puts him in the best spot to use
@Ryodakun Why would I hate a job I have talent for? We all want to be fulfilled in this life right? Wouldn't we all be fulfilled by doing that which we're the best at? Rather than aimlessly attempting to do the impossible, is that really human will? That will is precisely why we have nuclear weapons, terrrorists, crime. People who don't know their own destiny and hence their lives might as well have died at that moment. They're still alive, but with no purpose.

But the main problem is that he has no choice in what he is allowed to do, or in what he actually ends up doing. You're right that somebody has to do those jobs, but there are people who *choose* to do those jobs without a DP. And it's often been shown that passion is a better indicator of success than sheer ability. If he hates the job he's forced to do, he'll be more detrimental for society than helpful.

By all means you can think the relationship with Steller and Shinn was good, but to me the relationship was so forced that i couldnt find anything to like about it.

dude Four Murasame was the same thing she was a cyber newtype developed to combat regular newtypes and she was used just like steller to fight battles as an indiscrimentent killing machine and using the promise of giving her memories back as inscentive., her relationship with kamille was handled better because she actually knew what she was doing and acknowledged that it was wrong, besides steller and shimn shared only one episode to get to know each other,the rest was her dying inbed

I still dont get why they decided to make shinn and steller a couple, both characters were bland and complete assholes( fuck you steller you killed Heine Westenflauss!), one complains too much and is a self-centered prick while the other is mass murderer who helped cause the the colony drop with serious mental problems.Then again hardly anything makes sense in destiny so i guess it fits in just fine.

But honestly it has been a tradition in Gundam series to have at least 1 psycho female. Oh and their relationship is similar to kamille and four too.

@cleoduxi get the Four relation but that connection is weak at best Four was a chracter people actually liked a her death was more tragic , in addtion it actually changed Kamille and moved his character development, where as stellers death was lack luster and shinn didnt change at all he just got more annoying and used her death as an outlet for his rage.Luna should have been his love interest from the start not a last minute thing, imo.

I'm not going to get into the argument here, but I agree with Superhero18 in the idea that the Destiny Plan is actually a good thing for the world. Even if someone is forced into mining, road work, etc. they can still pursue what they love on the side, like a hobby. Just because the Destiny Plan decides what you do for a career doesn't mean it decides what you do with the rest of your life.

What Shinn wanted was revenge over ORB because he is blaming them for his families death. From episode 1 Shinn show himself as an immature baby who can´t think about anything but revenge. We see that in the case with Stellar too. Shinn thought only about himself when he heard that it was Stellar who piloted the Destroy. He never thought about the hundreds of thousands, or even millions of people she had already killed. He only thought that Freedom and ORB had killed someone he loved again.

Luna was probably the best new character in Destiny, followed by Stella. Meyrin was awesome because she helped Athrun escape and it was a total surprise. Kira/Cagalli/Lacus were doing what they thought was best, the way they knew how, but my god... Shinn was just a bitchy, naive kid who thought that, somehow, he was the only one with problems. The only thing I liked about Shinn was that he tried to save Stella.

It can't always be avoided in battle, but off the battlefield his reaction to the loss of friends is sorrow, unlike Shinn's reaction of vengeance. Shinn celebrates revenge, and fails to realize it causes the same death and destruction that killed his family, and I can't respect that. Honestly, my feelings would probably more resemble Shinn's than Kira's, but that's why I admired Kira more. He tried to find a better way.

As Shinn said "We have to fight when the time comes, or else we can't protect anything not even ourselves". Shinn was following orders, as all excellent soldiers should do. Hesitation causes death.

@Superhero18 Shinn certainly had sympathy when he fought Stella in the Destroy. And Kira almost always has sympathy for those he fights - he tries to never kill anyone. But Kira survives and wins in the end. And, yes, Shinn is an excellent soldier, but he fails to question anything and remains static throughout the series. Like, was it really Orb who killed his family, or was it those who insisted on attacking Orb? And was it really Kira who killed Stella, or was it Neo for making her fight?

If you really think Shinn was right, then you would have doomed humanity to the Destiny plan. Shinn wanted peace, but he was willing to kill anyone who opposed him without question, even when Durandal revealed the Destiny plan. His mind was screwed up; his only solution was to kill. He was clearly portrayed that way, and he lost in the end because he was wrong.

We NEED a Destiny Plan more than anything today, the world we Humans face in reality, is far worse than that of the world in GSD. Whose to say our genetic genes can't feasibly tell us of our strengths and weaknesses? Durandal wasn't playing God, and even Captain Ramius mentioned that. Genes would rule in the ideal world, with Durandal as an overseer. Think of him as a safeguard to the system, in the improbable case something goes wrong. The DP is needed in this world.

The Destiny Plan gives us the knowledge to be able to not only avoid those mistakes altogether but to do both what's right and what we truly wanted to do. No second guessing ourselves, no letting outside influences affect your decision. You will live as you were meant to live. In effect, God desired this world. Hence, he didn't want man to eat the fruit of knowledge. For with that knowledge, came the indecisiveness and the wickedness that binds us today.

@Superhero18 I doubt you truly understand the DP. People wouldn't have the option of doing different things because that's the nature of the plan. People are created for certain tasks to fill certain needs in society, and they will only be allowed to do the task they were created for.
It's not what's best for us; it's what we're best at. Consider a man created to work coal mines: He'll be put at risk of black lung and mine collapses. It's what he's best at, but is mining what's best *for* him?

@Motogu People were not created for one singular "task", but rather, tasks that have to deal with their specific talents. Using your example of the coal mine worker, firstly that's making an assumption it'll collaspe and mistakes will happen. But hey, someone has to do that job :D. But if he's a coal mine worker, he must have alot of persistence and strength right? He could equally build a house, or help with the roads. His creativity is his skill, the DP puts him in the best spot to use

@Ryodakun Why would I hate a job I have talent for? We all want to be fulfilled in this life right? Wouldn't we all be fulfilled by doing that which we're the best at? Rather than aimlessly attempting to do the impossible, is that really human will? That will is precisely why we have nuclear weapons, terrrorists, crime. People who don't know their own destiny and hence their lives might as well have died at that moment. They're still alive, but with no purpose.

@Superhero18 You, yourself, might be fulfilled by doing what you're best at, but this isn't true of everyone. There are people who are terrible musicians, but they pursue music because they love to do it. The same is true of many artists, scientists, writers, programmers, athletes, and others.

@Superhero18 There's a high risk factor in working in mines, construction, and road work. But the main problem is that he has no choice in what he is allowed to do, or in what he actually ends up doing. You're right that somebody has to do those jobs, but there are people who *choose* to do those jobs without a DP. And it's often been shown that passion is a better indicator of success than sheer ability. If he hates the job he's forced to do, he'll be more detrimental for society than helpful.
