I love this game, its just great. People, there are English translations of this game floating around, and if you own a Disk system, you can write the english translated version to a disk and play it. There is no excuse on WHY you haven't played it.

A loled at the "Ode to joy" in the end. It looks (and sounds) like a very good game but I still can't beat the last stage in the Castle Murasame Mode in Samurai Warriors 3 even in the highest Level :(

And then 再び平和が (Once again, peace has...) followed by ominous lightning. I wonder if this is one of those games you have to beat twice for the good ending. O_o

It was made by the same team that made the first Zelda game. They devloped this game around the same time as they did Zelda which is why both this game and Zelda came out around the same time. This is the only game that you can't really call a Zelda clone because it came out at practically the same time as Zelda lol.

The music well emphasized how Samurai's spirit to a fight by himself was. The rhythm and melody were based on Japanese traditional plays. That's a great works by many young creaters in 80's to try to maximize fruit of a quite limited technology. Seeking for a reality is one of good style. No doubt. And creation of a world with a help of player's imagination in a limited resource seems to be also fantastic way. I want young guys also to feel a creator's spirit in their fathers' generation.

It does look similar to most Zelda titles. However, unlike most Zelda titles, Nazo no Murasame-jo is a fast-paced, action game that is completely linear and has a time limit.

Not only I want this, I want Mother, Famicom Wars series, Fire Emblem series, Joy Mech Fight, Vs. Excitebike, and lots more. There are so many great Nintendo brand games we missed out on. BTW this was also rereleased on GBA as part of the Famicom Mini (NES Classics) series but of course Nitnendo didn't release it outside of Japan.
