the trx 3000's last forever.. at least mine have.. I've had my truck for over a year and have at least 200 hours on them. but i do crawl 95% of the time so factor that in..

I have a Stampede 4x4 VXL and i use an onyx 235 charger it works great and charges fast and even charges my lipos, but only charges one battery at a time. the Onyx 245 is Approx. $120 , it will charge 2 at a time, and lipos.

Hello!

I am just getting into these RC bashing trucks. I just picked up a Traxxas 1/10 scale Summit and did not realize that it does not come with a charger like the T-Slash. What charger do you recommend with this truck? Can I use the EZ- Peak charger or do I need something else because of the two batteries.

@samuraicinema You have to charge one battery at the time, or have two chargers. It's not good for the batteries to be charged with a paralell or series adapter. I'm using a Hyperion EOS0606i

@samuraicinema the duratrax onyx 240 can charge 2 batteries if u use nicd or nimh but it is not a lipo charger

@klkj04 Yep, it's 4fwd. I know because if you look at the front tires then they move and I know that all Traxxas' are rwd unless they have 4wd.

hey cool video ... i just want to know if Summit is durable .. i mean if it falldown from 50 cm or it crashes it will not brake up like my JUNK Losi mini rock crawler ... please do answer me correctly as am damm willing to buy me one of these on near future ... am not asking about crawling abilities... just want to know if it is durable for crashign or falling down ....................

@hovilig It's durable. The only things I have broken is both bumper carriers when I was at the skatepark the first time. But that was from 2-3 metres of free fall.... I've been driving in wery rough terrain, and it have fallen1 meter many times. You can take a look at my skatepark video.

@STI828 No, it's FM transmitter. You can see it on the antenna on the controller. 2,4ghz do have a short rubber antenna, and FM has the retractable metall antenna. At certain frequencies FM will disturb other cars when they are close to your controller.

You know what I love about traxxas is that they do what they do so well. They are able to provide an RTR crawler/basher thats H2O proof...that will climb anything. Its so awesome. No need to spend hundreds on parts and deal with the headache of trial and error of building a crawler(unless thats your thing). For people who want to buy a ready to go crawler this is it!

i have the traxxes slash i found it was better then the summit because the slash was made for track racing+mud,water,dirt and cement, where the summit is only made for climbing over rocks and stuff.

@MrFelixify Jeg kjøpte fra amainhobbies sammen med flere kamerater, totalt tre summitter og ekstra batterier. Men det lønner seg ikke om man ikke kjøper flere stykker.

Har god erfaring med elefun, har kjøpt laderen min og andre biler der. Ellers så er norwegian modellers bra.

Ok tack så mycket. Är det lätt att byta däck? jag menar, slänga på ett par E-revo däck när man ska köra race mot polarna och byta till orginalen när man drar ut i skogen och crawlar och leker.

Hursomhelst blir det en Summit. verkar vara en grymt bra allround bil, jag vill kunna crawla men även kunna gasa i lite högre hastigheter.

@MrFelixify Det er lett å bytte hjul. Bare å kjøpe komplette e-revo hjul eller lignende. Er bare en mutter i senter som man skrur av for å få av felgen. Nytter ikke å bytte over kun dekk, da disse er limt fast i felgen.

@MrFelixify Den originale motoren er veldig sterk, og de originale dekkene tåler ikke høyere hastighet. Så om du skal ha børsteløs så må du ha andre hjul. Du kan se flere på youtube som har oppgradert til børsteløs, der hjulene deformerer seg i høyere hastighet og evt eksploderer.

I don't understand why Traxxas don't make them Lipo standard. Lipos are so much better than crappy NIMH. I runn all my brushed toys with lipos. Do they use some old style ESC or why?

never cared for this truck... for 620 dollars it was not worth it to listen to squeeks out of the box and for a major disapointment for a truch that is supposed to have the best of both worlds. it did look cool though even with diffs locked and low gear i noticed little things like saplings were getting it hung up. i think for 620 dollars rear stear/dig would have been amazing but i guess you cant have it all.

Great Great video man. Awesome track or whatever you wonna call it for your car. Should I get the Summit or the E-Revo? I love the Summit because of its suspension and all the terrain it can go on, but I really like the speed of the Revo and how it can go over jumps and ramps! The more I look at the Revo, the more I want it, but the Summit is so sick and I don't have many dirt trails around me so I don't know if the Revo will be as useful, but I like it on streets and grass with a ramp

and you should use I think it's the locking differentials. It helps when you're climbing or crawling. It makes the truck go slower and grip better.

This is an excellent production and it demonstrates the genius of the designers within Traxxas. There is no other product like the Summit - it's torque is extraordinary and it appears to be able to walk over the toughest terrain, yet still have remarkable speed and agility.

The truck comes ready to run. Mine came with two traxxas batteries, without a charger. So I had to buy a charger an 8 AA batteries to the remote. It seems like some hobbyshops have the truck with batteries included, and some dont. Now that I tried the truck with traxxas 3000mah and team orion 4500mah, I would go for the truck without batteries and buy 4 4500mah ones, because they give a lot greater running time.
