@opalescence0 Being bred in captivity and "ripped from the wild" as you put it are two very different things. It's the way it goes. But without taking certain breeds from the wild, speaking generally not just snakes, we'd lose a lot of the animals we have to extinction and such. Ball python's are practically extinct in the wild already. There's only so many around cause of breeders. Sure they could be under better conditions, but the boxes in the vid are temp controlled to keep the snakes alive.

Bought my normal ball python from a pet shop a month and a half ago. He's a picky eater and didn't eat for the first month (very thin) and was having respiratory issues. He is better now, i still have to force feed him, but he is at a health weight again, and doesn't have any respiratory problems, he also just had his first shed and it went well.

However, when I do buy more snakes in the future I will buy from BHB, because I can see where the moneys goes. I want a Ghost Ball Python in 1yr

These snakes if released into the wild would probably die(becouse of parasites, inability to hunt properly...), their natural habitat are those plastic boxes.I dont support the rack system(it is illegal in my country) but it is a beautiful collection, and these people know what are they doing. I dont think that any of those snakes are taken from the wild(in my country again is illegal).So there is no consumption just production
