I have to say it's the protein drinks which made it so difficult for you. The sugar in the drinks made you crave food like crazy. I've done liquid fasts with only water or fresh vegetable juice, and after the first day I was never hungry. You still did a great job and you look great

You know to be honest I would definitly trade the loose skin for the scars. I mean as you said they don't look that bad and you know there are some lotion that will help to smooth out the scaring. I mean they won't be completely gone but they will help a little. Oh and by the way you are such an inspiration! :)

Actually that is very inaccurate. First off, I did run.. completed 2 half marathons in fact. The doctor explained to me that after a certain age and after a roller coaster of gaining and losing weight over many years, the elasticity in your skin goes. There is NO WAY this can recover. None.. This was not like I have 50 lbs 100 lbs to lose. I lost 200 lbs. . I had lost 120 lbs before without weight loss surgery and my skin even then was horrible.

. If you do some research you will see that most people who are morbidly obese can never get their skin to recover. However.. I will add that everyone is different and I have seen SOME who’s skin looks MUCH better than others. There are a lot of variables in there though. Don’t be under the false assumption that your skin can go back to normal without surgery. This is just not true.

I am terriied to have surgery, though i have seen surgery success stories, I don't think that is the right option for me. By the way, You look beautiful. Your scars are hardly there. My daughter has those scars just from a C-section and hiking the Rockies....her sport. Just living life will eventually give everyone something. I need a neck and hip surgery just from hiking and dancing. It used to be my profession. So...I hope I'm making you feel better. FWIW, liquid diet is much more difficult post-op, because our lack of pyloric valve means liquid goes right through us and doesn't stay in the stomach for any time whatsoever.

Oh sweetie, you look soooo beautiful. ignore those fools. I'd trade places in a heart beat. A scar is so much easier to live with and look at than chronic bat wings, droopy bellies and thighs (like mine) that look like sagging elephant skin! It's ok. I think your scars are ok and there not scars to me- there war wounds, for what you've been through & in a way a reminder of who you were, I'd be proud to carry them scars.

Unfortunatly some people are very insensitive in how they word there concerns in emails to you.

At the end of the day you are being so open about your experiences, they should appreciate your honesty about your journey and not try to tarnish it with negative thoughts - you look so beautiful and love your videos x

Wow wow wow April!!! You look phenomenal! What an amazing transformation. I had VSG, my starting weight was 243 and today I weigh 130. My extra skin is not bad at all, I have been blessed in that respect. But it is really humbling to see the scars of someone who did have to have surgery for excess skin. The surgery was a little horrifying looking, but you look normal now, and the scars will vanish in time. When I had a c-section, I had some very hard skin in that area. It eventually softened up and now the scar is virtually invisible. It takes a few years for it to fade. You look great now. My friend who lost over 200+ pounds, has a lot of skin on her legs also. It's easy to cover up though. You have a nice shape.

I think you look wonderful and believe you should just disregard those opinions that say otherwise. You are right, every person scars and heals differently and even though your scars are fairly vivid your skin appears to be laying nice and flat. You rock on! And, after day 3 I think the liquid diet got easier BUT you have to get in the protein drinks or your not really accomplishing your goal... you go into starvation mode. Best wishes.
