i sure hope, after i die, my consciousness can collide with Bill's for at least a brief moment somewhere in the infinite abyss so that i can thank him :)
@milaton43 I don't think he knew the show was going to be so family friendly. You can see him editing his act in his mind when he gets to the microphone.
I'd like to think that if I were to be in a comparable situation with a terminal illness that I would also have the same fortitude to be as strong as he was.
@Christoph4eva No, Bill Hicks was far better than that. He actually had something important to say. All Hendrix did was roll around on stage out of his mind on acid. Fun, but meaningless. Bill was a prophet.
@Keksakallu oh shit ay well i think he was one of the best but the best video of him i sein a few years ago was when some fat bitch heckled him and he went off tha was unreal

Yep, me too. He'll do that if the audience doesn't seem into it. That's what I've heard him say before, anyway. Like after the "boiling pizza" remark.
what the fuck is wrong with the audience . .. they go "hahaha" and then abruptly shut up . .. its like they've been instructed by someone before the recording
Hey hey its saturday was a really strange show. It had a giant pink ostridge as a cohost, and what appeared to be a perpetually drunk support band. It LOOKEd like a childrens show, but it was really a 'child friendly" adult show.
Strange stuff that probably wouldn't fly anymore on TV in this day and age.
I read in his biography that he did a tv show in Australia. It didn't say what it was but I suspected it might have been 'Hey Hey'. Doesn't really seem like the right place for his material. Especially not in the days of 'Ozzie Ostrich'. Audience seemed to like it though.
probably a corporate, no-talent little whore who feeds the media machine that is disney while preying on american tweens and living out the rest of her no talent piece of shit dad's dream. and i'm sure shes had her lips around satan's cock more than once.
of course the brits and aussies loved him, the US loathed him. Plus it seems to me that their more patient whereas in the US we have this weird, instant gratification "make me laugh now or die!" mentality. Its very mob like imo.
I taped it directly off the original broadcast way back when, and it has been languishing amongst roughly 700 hours of random stuff taped of TV over the last 20 years. Now that I have invested in EyeTV and can rip stuff to my hard drive, I look forward to posting some more random gems. :o)
I live Bill. Probably the only decent episode of this unbearable show.

Wow. How absolutely crazy is this? Hicks appears on (in its last years) an inherently conservative, family-oriented 'comedy' show? Bizarre.
And he suffers from censoring himself. Sad.
