  • Vic, I love your whole approach and demeoner towards exercise and fitness. It's shined a whole new light on training for me. I enjoy training so much more now. Thanks for all your vids!

  • Your The New ZANE

  • I like your videos you seem very knowledgeable!!

    thanks!!!

  • i like how youre real calm. most how to videos are trying to teach people stuff but at the same time they are squeezing information into a 2 minute video. you took your time and explained not only the workout but the benefits. im impressed. id love to gain more inches on my arms and chest btw. ill be watching your videos

  • chillin

  • So the debate ensues about eating. I am delighted to put up any posts that stirs debate. It is good to have a different perspective from everyone. However, when it comes to eating. The debate as I see it is which is more important eating "right" or training. There is a great understanding between men and women that I believe we can all agree, "garbage in - garbage out". This goes for the mind - and the body. It is not a judgmental statement it simply elementary. Love your body- Peace all,Vic

  • "im chillin, im good" haha love it

  • I'm very big for my height and in fact only weigh about as much as you. You are WAY more ripped than me however. I'd kill to look this good. I've got to work on the diet more.

    Awesome vid...

  • @SDupe44

I used to believe diet was not as important as training. Now, I believe, if I had to pin down a number that it accounts for 80% of the bodybuilding experience. Whether or not you train at all, it i, or should be the most important part of taking care of oneself. An opportunity, 3 times a day to fortify and love yourself.

I will be really putting up a lot of facebook this week regarding diet - - peace, Vic

  • @vicsnatural Thats great! Johan

  • How many times a week do you train each muscle this way?

  • @boby6

    Only once per week- Vic

  • Respond to this video...

I train each muscle group once per week. Vic

  • 'and prayers' lol thatt was so random

  • He's as cool as scooby.

    Great stuff

  • Vic ,until now I use to do my cable tricep pulldowns close to my body.I like the movement of bringing it down and a way from your body. Also notice with the slight lean toward the cable I feel it working my Abs.I use to use much heavier weights and found my sholders getting more invoved I also pushed stright down. Now it's all Tricep thanks for the tips!I am doing 5 sets,do you think I should also do some kick backs for my Tricep, thanks again!!!!!!!!

  • @big58puppy

Kickbacks would finish this workout really nice- or even so close grip bench pressing. Vic

  • Your videos are great. I am always a big believer in form and technique and you explain it very well. I'm going to be sitting at my computer for the whole day now watching the rest of your videos!

  • Hey man could you make a video telling us your diet?

  • @LatestUpdatesFTW

Just posted an update on Facebook Victor Costa Trainer

  • Vic, You Are Epic!

  • This guy's a legend.

  • i dont wanna look like Jay Cutler..i wanna look like MR Vic:.If its natural he's the best..

  • @TheFurduiS

I do not understand bodybuilding as a sport. I understand it as a concept , as an ideal. I still don't get the upside of being a pro bodybuilder. When I was in my twenties, I weighed all of the variables and did not see one positive. How can you tell your children to stay away from drugs when you are on them? As far as the aesthetic, I don't get that either. I appreciate your comments- Peace, Vic

  • @vicsnatural U are right Mr.Vic !!!

  • @vicsnatural idk what ur trying to say about not knowing of being a pro bodybuilder, but bro u are hella riped and big good amount of mass and thickness u have great videos and are very inspiring soo id say hell with being a pro bodybuilder you got your shit togher thats all there is to it

  • @FireToned

I can't understand why anyone would want to be a pro. Not one single advantage from where I sit these days. I never wanted people to say - Wow- look at that guy- I don't want to look like him- but look at that guy. I am starting to really appreciate the under taxed physique. You know what I mean- someone who looks good- just together - healthy - toned, good energy, etc... Ever stand next to a drug guy- energy is off. Ever stand next to a natural bodybuilder- sold energy- Peace, Vic

  • The GEEK of bodybuilding. Love it. Five stars

  • @thebeat911

    I'll take it-Vic

  • Hi Vic,

what do you mean by "let the weight sink" into the muscle ?

I read ,that you don´t mean , one should tense the muscle consciously, this would be fighting against the weight.

most people, when they are asked to engage the muscle more, would answer, they tense the muscle !

but you do it differently, right ?

    thanks !

  • @MurphyJ83

No-I believe you misunderstood- you relax to let it sink in- begin the movement while your hands are relaxed- you are relaxing your hands - when you do so the muscles relax automatically in this position- begin them movement- then at the end ( the contraction) you extend and flex. Peace, Vic

  • A natural frank zane! :D

  • when I do this exercise i always tighten my shoulders and this takes the stress from the triceps any tips on how to relax my shoulders?

  • @R90liam

You have to focus on relaxing- sounds crazy but make it a priority- you are going to relax some body parts and work others- that's the drill. Peace, Vic

  • Best workout form on YouTube Vic .. The best!

  • Hey vic im 17 and ive been triaing for a year and ive had good gains but ive had one small problem, i dont know how many times a week to train!! Ive tried 3x a week, 4x, 5x, even 6x! Please tell me your workout regimin amd what muscles you work together!!

a reply would me MUCH appreciated!

    Thanks, love your channel!:)

  • @PunjabiKilla1

17 years old- probably girls- homework- family obligations- friends...etc...The fact that you are even thinking about training is cool. Twice a week max with weights. I have said it before- if I could do it again, I would have started at 20. I would have done bands and running-just all around fitness. However, my young friends don't want to hear that so - that is why I make suggestions. My techniques - consolidating them in to two days- plenty friend- really be kind to your body

  • yeah everyone wants to make you feel good about yourself..damn like I need somebody else's help with that

  • @googleTHT

We all need a champion- someone who roots for us-someone who believes in us. Never met anyone who had too much love. Never met anyone who couldn't use a boost. If you don't need one- I am envious of you. All of my friends are at the top of their game and each one from time to time needs support. Good luck to you. Vic

  • Just wanted to say that I both like the discription of the execise and I also found the talking very positive and inspiring.

  • Hey vic,is a split routine better or is one body part per day?and i mean even triceps and biceps seperately?

  • @superslimsim

I think you have to go for a split routine-

No one has 6 days to train anymore- really impractical and in spite of perhaps not overtraining each body part, by doing on body part per day- you are over training the body, the bones, the joints, even taxing the nervous system. I say split it up max 4 days in gym , Peace, Vic

  • Seriously, no sugar for 20 years? are you serious? omg! :O

  • @PabloFrozen

Yes- I eat fruits and veggies- One day I'll do a vid with my Mom and she can talk about my eating habits. I have to convince her but I think you would get a kick out of it. Vic

  • @vicsnatural

he he tht wud b 1 of the best videos :D wud b an epic moment for fans like me :D

  • You are awesome! ....... GO VIC!

  • Hi Vic, one reason why I like your videos is because you ALWAYS respond very quickly, cool. Quick question. I work the night shift, I get off at 8am, is that a good time to work out and then go sleep, or should I eat breakfast, sleep and then hit the gym? Thank man. Peace.

  • Hi Vic !

I love your training and your videos ! They're just awesome ! I love your body ( despite the fact that I'm straight and prefer girls ;)) !Wish I looked like you one day ...

I got few small question and would be grateful if you answered them :

    1. I've been training your way for a few months and my arms grew from 13.5 inches to circa 15 inches. Isn't it too small increase ? Do you think I may be doing sth wrong ? Is it possible for me to get arms like yours ? (18 inches) I'm 22.

  • @sabreliev

There are no small increases. They are all monumental. Of course friend, keep training. Forget measuring- for now- do the right things and that will come. Vic

  • Calories? Micronutrients? How do I need to eat to backup these workouts and build muscle like that?

  • @superherobyday

I ate very strict for 20 years- no sugar, alcohol, or white flour for 20 years. I ate dairy, chicken, and veggies and whole grains and fruits 3 times per day. The muscle would have been a lot more had I boosted my calories. I eat about 2000 now, was eating about 1500 on average for 18 years. I would suggest the same foods but a greater quantity. Vic

  • smart bloke! does he post videos still?

  • @moviedude22

Have some more up soon friend. Thanks, Vic

  • This guy is good. He said " if i can move my head im relaxed. Im chilling" LOL

  • Such a decent body lol.

  • i like what you said at the end about being able to pick up your baby or do your job more safely and better. i'm working on a website that approaches this aspect of fitness and health. not everyone wants six pack abs, but they do need to work their abdominal muscles to prevent back injury (for example) as well as work their back.

  • man your body is god like..i hope i could get to that level one day!

  • I suddenly have massive respect for this guy

  • intense focus rite here.

  • We don't have the same fuel that the other guys have to stay here all night(he he). All we got is good Nutrition, rest & prayers thats all! - This is wht makes u good Vince :D

  • this dude looks like superman.

  • his body looks wayyyy better then any of those dense bodybuilders in the npc and further up.

  • @Anaplastlifestyle I competed in the ANBC tried my hand in the NPC and did quite well. I believed I could beat the drug guys and I beat many. Won my class a few times and even an overall at a local NPC show. I iid really well, but I was 5'9" and a middleweight 176 1/4 lbs. The guys I was competing against were 5'3" and weighed the same. They looked toxic - even back then. Audience always applauded for me more because they knew I was natural. Vic

  • @vicsnatural Pretty cool story. But I wouldn't consider "unnatural" as cheating. Unnatural guys work just as hard only with better gains. That's my opinion of course.

  • @MrAssassinful

Cheating is only cheating if you believe it is. I have a code. No drugs, for me that includes alcohol and cigarettes. I took a personal pledge. I think of my family as well as myself when I make decisions. My body isn't on this planet to be big, I use my body for other things. I dislike the aesthetic anyway. It has a hint of mutilation, distortion.

  • there is something that makes you remind me of frank zane

  • Vic, what supplements do you use?

  • @06livefast

Don't use any -just food. Vic

  • @vicsnatural awesome, thanks! Ps can you pleaaaaaaaase do workout videos?? :)

  • @06livefast

Of course just go to my site

  • @vicsnatural VIC'S THE MAN!!

  • Vic.....Words Can't Even Express How Thankful I Am For Your YT Video's...It's About Time That Someone Knows/Shows The "Art Of Training" With Proper Form.....U Must Shake Your Head With All The Garbage Videos And Advice Some People are Giving Out There.....Also... I'm Curious On What Your Weight/Height Is.....Peace Brah!

  • @MasSKiLLiNN A million thanks- I am 5'9" 180 now

I appreciate your comments so much-

Everyone is doing their thing. I am very appreciative that people value what I do. It is really a blessing.

    Vic

  • Sweet vid! I like your concepts with regards to do as many as you can on your first go and then rest a minute or and then do as many as you can again even if its only 3 or 4. I find it incredibly boring doing the same number of reps every set and this makes more sense. Thanks for the advice.

  • damn 7 minuts and 1 exercise?

  • @DAPes2theY

Yah man, Long winded huh? I do beat shit to death and I know it. I explain and re- explain things often because I want to make sure I hit the explanation from all angles. Don't want anybody to miss any info. Different explanations appeal to different folks that's why I keep trying. Once in a while , someone will say, hey bro- I am so glad you said it that way, it made me really understand. Yeah man, at this pace the workout takes two weeks. Hear yah. Peace, Vic

  • Hey vic,

What kinda rest duration do you take? 1-1.5 minutes? Your video just confirms what i've learnt recently, spent 1 year training with bad technique, and spend the last 2-3 with great form and have gained more muscle in that time than i ever did in 12 months.

  • @twinturbo300zx

I rest for about 2 minutes to 1.5 these days- and it has made a huge difference. Peace, Vic

  • agree, you look fantastic- and natural- much more appealing,

  • You are like a live-inspiration-coach just making me want to train all day! Thanks alot for these great movies, it really helps ouy my exercise!

  • @Chrissemann I offer a lot of things on Facebook as well with respect to inspiration, Victor Costa Trainer.

  • im really insipred by your approach!amazing!..just one question...how long did it take for you to get in your current shape?...and why do you say dont count?...how do you know then whether you are progressing with each workout session?

  • @j2kxtreme

I don't like to count in the zone- It would be like a runner counting his footsteps. You lose the spirit of the thing. I call things attempts because- theoretically - nothing is really ever complete-finished-perfect. Attempts gives my people the sense of going for it. We are making an attempt- doing our best. Just my choice of words that help my folks. I try to help people develop vocabularies without limits and at the same time recognize they're allowed to make mistakes.

  • im really insipred by your approach!amazing!..just one question...how long did it take for you to get in your current shape?

  • @j2kxtreme

Hard to say - a lifetime of work really-

I am the product of every success or failure I have had over the past 20 years. If I knew then what I know now, boy, that would be nice. However, I think there is a certain level of maturity that you need if you are natural to have that dense muscle. Drug guys get it early, natural guys have to hang in there and it comes with age. I am getting bigger now as a result of eating more. However, the shape and density comes with age. It never ends.

  • will these types of exercises carry over into strength training specifically for lifting progressively heavier weights or just for hypertrophy?

  • @Karmara7

Sure- I would say the technique is too strict to break records. I have friends who bench press 400 to 500 pounds, but they can't do 300 the way I do it. I believe the key is to always challenge yourself. Increase your poundages but attempt to use some of the basic elements of my training. I have been using heavier weights and eating a bit more. I would say I have sacrificed 2 to 3 percent of the form I was using. However, the basic elements are there in spite of heavier weights,

  • hey vic i love ur vids

pss is there any exercises to increase height?

  • @taouiri

I wish. If you find one let me know, I'll be all over it.

    Peace, Vic

  • Which excercises do you do for your triceps on your tricep/ whatever day?

  • @ninjakawasaki1972

I have triceps vids here on youtube friend. Check em out- Push downs, 1 arm extensionsVic

  • huge triceps! and without steroids!!

  • Wow, someone other than scooby1961 on the internet doing perfect form and slow and controlled movements.... I am subscribing.

  • Very helpful vid's vic, thanks. What is your height and weight? (im sure you've answered before, sorry).

  • @canuckman87

    5 '9" around 180 now.

  • @vicsnatural

Good grief you look more than 180. Must be the extremely low bodyfat. I'm also 5'9 and about 175-180 lbs at 10-11% BF. Have been training for 4 years now.

  • @vicsnatural wow, you look heavier than 180.

  • Vic is my altime favourite natural bodybuilder.

  • Great body, forearms and traps could be bigger tho. Great tips on weightlifting and advice on keeping it in balance with the rest of your life, I liked your tip on keeping vanity in the gym. GREAT STUFF MAN!

  • @kidshere

I take your comment with the utmost respect. I agree. When I used to compete I called those specialty parts. Essential and really the sign of a complete bodybuilder. I still have work to do- totally glad you pointed it out.

This is why I love this- truly we are all learning- some know a bit more than others, but we are all learning, observing. Cool sport huh?

  • I agree with you 100% steroids are not the way to go, natural all the way!

  • You could be superman.......

  • I'm chillin, I'm good and as arnold would say I am co-oh-ming.

  • Damn, you know what you're doing, this is the exact body type i've been trying to achieve... I'm doing p90x now but it doesnt give me the "bulk" i want. What do i need to do to achieve you're size? Is it diet? or heavier wieghts with less reps? Both? lol I need to know! Thank you.

  • @starfishkiller1 good eating is essential - no matter what program you are doing-

I happen to think my band workout is better than p90 x for what you are going for.

It is more like bodybuilding versus fitness. Take a look- - but food is a bog part of any plan- eat a lot and eat clean-Vic

  • Thats the body I am going to aim for :)

  • Thats the body I am going to aim for :) Really really nice :)

  • this guy is fuckin swole

  • Is there any more videos coming because I really enjoy your training, even some more videos of you just talking at home would be great?

  • well done mate looking good and helping alot of people out! cheers

  • Hey Vic, what BF% and weight are you at here?

  • @oogabubchub

    not sure 7- 8% maybe?

  • Just trying friend. Every day I learn., Thanks, Vic

  • God you are awesome!!!!!!!

  • Once per week my friend- Vic

  • Hey Vic, how many times a week should i work out each body part?

  • Your arms remind me of Larry Scotts arms. I just subscribed to your page. Form is key...Im glad someone out there is stressing the importance of form and not just weight. Tricep curls (nose busters) used to be one of my favorites. I'm famous for tearing up my elbows doing them however. This workout seems like it might put less torque on the joints. True or untrue?

  • @shouldibehere

Larry Scott- a legend. Thank you. I agree - skull crushers or nose busters should be called joint busters.

Agree, I have done them with extremely light weight and that is a bit humbling. However, I do enjoy switching from the nose busters immediately to presses. I'm certain you know what I mean. Try these and also, the nose busters after, with light weight. You will be warmed up and won't need as much weight because you'll be half way to toast. I think this will work. Peace, Vic

  • @vicsnatural Thanks for the reply and suggestions. I can see how this can work...It took me awhile to realize that weight is not the only thing of importance when trying to build your body. Keep up the good work!

    Dave

  • I'm chillin, I'm GOOD!!!

  • @Drewalloveryou1 thats legendary!!..lol

  • your shoulders look awesome. How do you train your shoulders?

  • @Manuelcr7

Hi friend - you can find my shoulder workout on Youtube. Vic

  • @Manuelcr7

Lately- presses- been doing about 6 sets. then laterals, then presses again, 4 sets, lighter weight to failure- as many reps as possible with about 100 pounds . Then rear delts using machine 5 sets.Peace, Vic

  • by natural, do you mean without protein supplements?

  • @MrSuperbizzle

I mean no drugs- although I do not take protein supplements-

  • for some reasons I must train biceps and triceps in the same workout- just personal for me.

  • Can you post a diet plan? :-)

    btw your arms look amazzziiing!!!!!

  • @icecoldnigga11

Basically - trying to keep it clean- fruits and veggies, grilled meats and whole grain breads and brown rice.

I like yogurt and stay away from refined sugar and booze. Nothing too fancy, but it works for me. Certainly, easy to follow. Vic

  • @icecoldnigga11 his whole body is amazing not just his arms:P

  • hey Vic, i want to ask u after exercise in how much time should eat and what to eat?

  • hahah he's chilling @ 2:00

  • Dear Vic - when someone has several years of training under his belt and at present can only train twice a week, would would you recommend as far as structure of the training goes - training the whole body at each session (i.e. each muscle group would be trained 2x weekly) or would you split the body in two and train half of the muscle groups at each session - thus training each muscle once weeekly. Best wishes from Poland

  • Dear Victor,

thank you for the great informative videos. Could you please give me your suggestion: at present I'm able to hit the gym only twice weekly - would you advise to: a) work out the whole body at each session - that would mean twice a week training for each muscle group, or b) split the body in two and train one half at the one session and the other halt at the next - thus hitting each muscle once a week? All the best from Poland for you and other viewers

  • Hey Vic,

I purchased your mp3 audio training for triceps a while back. I have to say, I have seen the best results with your training technique than any other. Just have one question. Do you perform any other tricep exercises than the ones you offer here on youtube and your mp3 audios? I feel like it's time to switch it up a little. Thanks a bunch.

  • How you get that definition of Arm ? Thanks

  • @D4rKILuck

Lots of strict training and tight eating for a long period of time-

I am in an excellent mode of eating- right now- really clean - no sugar - no white flour as usual.

    Peace, Vic

  • Your videos are some of the best ive seen. Cheers!

  • The way you talk is like you are trying to hypnotize me to workout....your plan has worked!

  • Ay Vic is it alright to work on shoulder, tricep, and back and then on the next day work on bicep, chest, neck and abs? Then rest on the next day and then do the same sets again?

  • @MrTryZtan

My opinion man- that's too much- If you want serious gains you r gonna have to rest a lot more- if that has to be your schedule- do your first workouts- wait 3 days - then do your next- eat clean and rest more- you'll kick butt.

My opinion is that you can't heal in such a short time. Peace, Vic

  • Very good message towards the end Victor! I'm doing Ph.D in the sciences and the amount of work in the lab doesn't give me the amount of time I used to have to work out. Your approach of getting the most from the limited time in the gym is great!

    Thank you.

  • hey vics, thx for making such good videos for us. I have been doing gym and follow your advices for about 5 months and I can really see the differences!!! my triceps are so much bigger than before. btw I have a problem now. I'm on 1 month holiday in overseas and there's no gym here for me. What should I do to keep all my muscles? I dont want to lose them after all 5 months of hard work...

thank you and keep it up

  • what do you think of drop sets my friend? Cheers

  • @brunarte Actually like them - get an excellent burn - but maybe only one or two at the end of a regular sessions like I have described. IN other words do your arms and as you finish do two drop sets. Peace, Vic

  • by "engaging" u mean tense that muscle yah?

  • @idzdafinest

It really means letting the weight sink into the muscles you want to work- if you tense that muscle you will be fighting the weights- and the weight won't sink into the muscles. It is like building a connection physically and mentally. Vic

  • Shouldn't I be keeping my core engaged for stability as well??

  • @westaussie89

That's a bit tough- generally, but you are right- this exercise specifically requires some stabilization. I feel my abs a bit when I do this in spite f intense focus on my triceps.

    Peace, Vic

  • can i do two parts per day? like chest bicep or back tricep and shoulder legs?

  • @jomaangeles

    of course, Vic

  • thats the best workout i have ever seen!!..thanks for goin in so detail!!.. i ill try it !!..thanks vic!!

  • I'm a huge fan of your workouts, I did them before discovering your channel even!

There are some social constraints attached to these workouts though: for starters I am yet to find a workout partner that has the same work ethics as me. Also the workout does alienate you at the gym, it's happened to me to the point of people making fun of the low weights that I do, even though I look very toned

  • @moein69

It's never crowded along the extra mile. Vic

  • No offense, but honestly, it's easy to be relaxed when you use such LIGHT weights....I would like to see another video of you Vic doing this exercise with your real weight.... Don't take it personally but it's hard to trust this training completely when i try this and i lift heavier weight than Vic but i don't have his shape.... Can you make a video with your real weight please? Thanks

  • @EternalElfe0

I can do this with the stack- but what is the point of me showing you how strong I am. My strength is a product of training this way , with this form, then challenging myself with heavier and heavier weights until I can do the same form with a heavier weight. That's the practice. Challenge yourself with this form but use weights you can manage. When you master a certain weight , move up. That's the practice. However, the only way you know how to begin is to start light. Peace,Vic

  • i got 12cm now lol ghehe

so lets see in a months mate(: ill let u know thanks

  • gr8

  • that is the best advice people "rest" lots of people over train (i have done this to) people seem to forget that muscles grow and repair when you rest not when you workout :)

Keep up the good vid's Vic.

    Peace

  • Hey Vic,

Just bought the MP3 downloads for the triceps and biceps exercises. I'm eager to see results (haven't really seen development in my biceps and triceps in the past 3 years). When should i expect to see results? Thanks.

  • @patrickdable

First you will feel the difference in the training- your body will begin to wake up very quickly. Vic

  • great workout, i have learned more from watching your videos than from anyone else. you wouldn't happen to have a video for shoulders?

  • @danogogogo

I say once high intensity- Vic

  • how many time a week should i workout my triceps and biceps vic?

  • @robertox300

Been doing each once per week-finding that longer recovery works very well. Most people try to really push their bodies, each body part twice per week. Finding that hard training, with concentration requires more rest. Try it- mots people are overtrained. Victor

  • I like the underlying message of natural health... people are ever-so-eager to get results, they don't consider the long term effects.

  • I understand you watch what you eat and you but do you drink whey protein or any other mixed protein shakes?

  • @FABdatnigga

I do not- that is why I remain so lean- very little excess- I do believe that as a rule- many people are overtrained and undernourished. I do suggest you listen to your body as far as nourishment. I prefer food. Those shakes bloat people. You can not be in the condition I am in year round naturally and take those shakes. Unless you are going for something else, then they may be necessary. Only you know your nutritional needs. However, they are not for me. Peace, Vic

  • What if you don't really have a gym close by/transportation is an issue and you don't have that specific machine? is there a way to work on your triceps without the machine using dumbells or a benchpress or something other then this machine?

  • i did this "perfect form traingin" now for 2 weeks and i can really see a diffrent. i trained before 2 Years with concentraiting on weigts. Perhaps this was the wrong way. I think the best way is to change diffrent styles of training.

  • i like what you talk about and stuff :), i might try this when i think about it i have gone over the top with weight and neglected my form, probably why my shoulder urts today. in lifting heavy weights i guess you are wasting energy in other parts of the body assisting in the lift, being 16 though i have no job/major responsibilities so i make it a hobby to go there and i greatly enjoy it

  • hye vic tq alot its really work...i have a question...what is the best reps or weight to build big arms or all part of muscle....tq hope u could give me the answers

  • i love the philosophy

  • youre good =)

  • How many times per week should I work out my biceps and triceps?

  • @SimonFanTV

    Only once per week.

    Peace, Vic

  • Vic, how many times should I work out my biceps and triceps?
