I've liked R.Z.'s work since the early 90s (the Foremen), but this isn't one of his better efforts. Dylan imitations/parodies got old long ago (another good reason not to see Bob Dylan in concert these days), and the lyrics aren't up to his usual wonderful standard (except for "She's a vicious attack dog and Miss Congeniality").

I'm normally quite a fan, but it was a low blow with the Moose and Caribou stuff. People who hunt aren't just backwoods hicks. It's part of Alaska's very fabric. I've liked R.Z.'s work since the early 90s (the Foremen), but this isn't one of his better efforts. Dylan imitations/parodies got old long ago (another good reason not to see Bob Dylan in concert these days), and the lyrics aren't up to his usual wonderful standard (except for "She's a vicious attack dog and Miss Congeniality").

When a governor is in charge of the National Guard, the governor has nothing to do with activity on foreign soil. When the guard is called to duty, they're no longer under the leadership of the governor; they are under federal military jurisdiction.

I'm normally quite a fan, but it was a low blow with the Moose and Caribou stuff. People who hunt aren't just backwoods hicks. It's part of Alaska's very fabric. Chew her out for her policy, or her focus on family values (which has gone so well for her), or clueless status. Leave Alaska's hunting culture out of it.
