On 2:28 you can see the sorrow of Stevie, she's like she's going to cry there, when she signs: "And a Memory is all that is left for you now"....must be thinking abour Robin. Bad times for her.
I've hear Stevie do a better job to be perfectly honest . I am a huge fan from "way back". I saw her perform in Paradise Valley AZ.a VERY long time ago.I even got to meet her during one of her few outdoor, small "family" venue's dedicated to her Mom and Dad. NO.. this is not one of her most "vocally" correct piece's to be sure. I feel a big enough fan to say that there was a reason for her emotions to be showing on stage. GOOD GAWD people!! we are all just human afterall.
Stevie's a great artist, but her self admitted coke problems blurred & muddied some of her live singing as years went on. She's a great talent who at times just sucks live
The BEST live performance I have heard of GYPSY... EVER. No one sounds like Stevie, no one has the intensity that Stevie has, and that voice is so unique and special that it'll live on forever. Stevie is absolutely a living legend. What talent!
I have always liked this song (especially as compared to other "late history" FM). However, I have to say that I find this version rather unispired, except for LB's nice little guitar riff at the end. Quite frankly, in my opinion they seem otherwise to be going through the motions.
CUT THE CRAP! They rocked then...they rock NOW! VERY FEW bands hsve meade it---Grammys/Rock & Roll Hall of Fame--FWM have it all. AND STEVIE...STILL HOT, EVEN AT 61!
I thank you for your service, cigar. Freedom is not free... Oh, and thanks for posting this. I agree that Mick is a human metronome. And Lyndsey Buckingham playin' guitar like a ringin' a bell... Saw them at Reunion in Dallas 'bout a hundred years ago. Won't ever forget it....
I remembered listening to this with buddies drinking beer while stationed in Okinawa on Marine Corps Base Camp Foster, during the long Typhoons..... beer and music...
I saw them in Greensboro NC Sept 1982. The whole band was worn out. This wasn't far off the mark for the show I saw. Just a lazy Fleetwood Mac. This was supposed to be their last tour, and the Greensboro show was 2nd to the last stop.

isn't this the night Robin died and that's why she's having such a hard time with this song?

She actually looks feminine. No Tats like a sailor or 40 pounds of piercings etc She is a "turn On" and has talent as well.

The second guitarist is Ray Lindsey. He's credited as early as Fleetwood Mac live in 1980 and has been with Linds since.

@excurs I saw in Dallas 2 but abt 10 yrs ago @ starplex, I thought they were great all original members.
nat00ben06 2 years ago
@nat00ben06 The only ORIGINAL members are Fleetwood and McVie.
Chrisdrumz 1 year ago
@Chrisdrumz Oddly enough, that's incorrect! Although the band was named for McVie, Bob Brunning was their original bass player.
