wich instrument is playing the low notes (original bass notes)? A cello or a kontrabass/doublebass?

I love that they really tried to recreate the solo as well as the riffs. A lot of these string translations of hard rock classics tend to skip over the solos but the violinist did a nice job with it. The famous grunge riff at 3:20 isn't the same without the bottom end... maybe if they had put more cello into it.
