This vid brings back memories. The R32 was mine. It's not an auto. At the track, both the R and the Harley ran 14.3's. The R was stock and the Harley had light mods. Stock Harley's run 14.6's. I'll admit the R was a bit on the sluggish side, but from a dig, it would hang with the best. Gotta love AWD!
@scratchline20 I ran a13.98 in my Harley truck with a catback exhaust (which is dyno proven to add literally no HP). That was also with a 2.2 60'. Decent tires and traction bars and Im sure I could get a solid 13.7-13.8 out of it stock. Not surprising you lost, I work on R's every day and 1st and 2nd gear is definitely where you will win or lose a race. Why does everyone here say the R is automatic? MK4's were all manual, they didnt use the DSG till the MK5 platform.
i just raced one of these things a few nights ago in a 96 GTi VR6. I did not win but i had him till mid 3rd gear....thats around 80 till he pulled me. Im suprised the r32 didnt do alot better.

The only handicap of the R32 is its weight, any longer on the "roll races" and the VW walks away. Like racing a fat kid on a bike, on a long downhill run...without pedaling! That SVT whine would make a cool cell phone ring ! Great Vid!!!
The F-150 Harley is prob' slower then the plain stock F-150. Either he has some mods, or the R32 wasn't being drove hard. I looked up the website on Ford, youtube prob' wont like me link we will see. search harley ford f150
Does this Harley have the eaton charger thats in the lightning? My buddys got one and I've always wanted to run my R against his truck. From a roll its no contest...displacement and FI owns....but from a stop, I'd imagine his lack of weight in the back and amount of power would cause him to give up the launch.
Don''t think that AWD will work for offroading with ZERO groudclearance either. Oh, and I know for a fact that F150 vs small car in head-on collision wins! I walked away unscathed, other driver spent 28 days in a coma. She should not have been on my side of the road, or in such a tiny little car.

The r32 is slower for its class mainly because its not a forced induction car, but it is mainly for quality of the build with some sporty feel.
