This is fantastic. I do have to say that I like the new lineup better with Kat playing bass and the 2 guitars. Gives them a fuller sound and they seem to have better chemistry onstage. They really interact and make their shows something that will leave you talking about it for weeks afterwards.

saw her show in Boston last night. I love her albums but you've got to see her perform. Phenomenal! I can't remember having seen anyone perform with such energy. I hope she will not allow major record labels to "polish" what she is doing too much. GPN has a raw edge that makes them exciting.

Where did THIS GPN go? I want this one back. The new one is OK but they are no longer a jam band. The new GPN would never think of having an eight-minute long song. The sequins, short skirts, and heels are not the GPN I fell in love with. Check out their stuff from Red Rocks or the 8x10 Club in Baltimore and you'll see what I mean.

@knastera I can dig where you're coming from, but still; the 'new' GPN walks over nearly every other band out there (barring REAL hard core jam bands like Phish, 'Mule', MOE, SCI, YMSB, Primus, MMJ...). Yeah, maybe still a bit 'poppy', but also an ass-load more real than nearly everyone else 'on the air'. IMO however, NO ONE beats Adele. Yeah, it's a totally dif' type of music, and you can't compare dogs and horses! (or is that apples and oranges?). Long story short...I Love GPN..regardless.

The band has REALLY tightened up recently. Some of the songs of the new record are eh, but some are GREAT concert jams (Oasis, Medicine, Paris). Kat on bass has really added a ton of energy, and the Benny/Scott tandem was made in heaven. Matt has become 20x of a better drummer, and Grace is as sexy and rockin' as ever. If you have not been to a GPN concert recently, you owe it to yourself to go.
