I work for IBM and have done multiple job shadowings for Cisco. Trust me, MACs are just a dressed up PC that no one care's about. Easy to break into using a boot disc (unless hard drive is encrypted, which most people don't use hard drive encryption). My old $1500 iMac ran no better than my $750 Sony laptop.. Pathetic, eh? I would like to see anyone who's high up in the networking field disagree with me. Just hit me up and within 5 minutes I can tell you why Macs are garbage.

And there are plenty of company's that use PC's in every bit of their work. The biggest business that uses Mac's are schools. Other than that, and holly-wood editing, most businesses use PC's. Don't just trash PC's for no reason. PC and Mac are great computers. So stop sucking Apple's dick.

It would cost $30 to ship, $100 to do diagnostics (even though I already knew what the problem was), and then $500 - $600 for parts and labor. I bought an iPad instead of fixing the Sony and haven't looked back!

@ssDaNss u say that coz u work for ibm. i used both windows and mac and im in love with my mac. it is very easy to use in every possible way. all those talks about software compatibility is rubbish now. more than 90% of softwares 2day are compatible with macs. when it comes to battery life, macs kills those bulky ibms and sonys (im talking about laptops in particular). even the design, easy to use, easy to carry. it's way better than carrying a brick like an IBM

iMac prices are very competitive in the desktop computer market. If you wanted a desktop pc with the same performance, webcam, speakers and a monitor with the same quality.. Gonna cost you top dollar. The keyboard on the mac is brilliant as well. PC's at the same pricerange as the 20" iMac always come with some generic piece of crap keyboard.

I do not care for the mightymouse though. Chuck it and get a Razer mouse for mac. Golden :)

Alright, Imac is not cheaper than the HP IQ506 Touchsmart, which is only $1500 for the premium version at most stores here in Alberta, the Imac is close to $2000+ for the basic. Please do your research before posting a video praising the mac for it's all out "betterness" than everything.And cheapness shold not be a major factor in PC shopping, just a consideration. And for those of you that will take my message wrong, i'm not saying macs suck. They're both good computers, i just prefer the PC.

However, to the iMac's advantage, it's a few bucks cheaper so of course it will be a few steps behind PCs. And no, Apple doesn't rule in everything, they lack in gaming. Macs don't lack in games, I can run any pc game on my mac with no problem. And also you cant compare a regular pc to the imac you just cant. There are some pc where the imac has better specs. But you have to compare the imac to not a tower but to other ALL IN ONE pc's and i have compared them and the imac comes out on top. Now the mac pro kicks every off the shelf pc out there

yeh if you run the game under windows. If you run a mac game you come up against problems. Battlefield 2142 is a good example of this. Plenty of issues on the apple website about this one, and on the pc, no problems at all for almost everyone.

Theirs aot of pc games out there that have issues and you have to download a patch for it too. It has nothing to do with the mac I play games on my mac with no problems. You can't compare the Mac pro to a base computer. Mac pro is 8 cores, Can take up to 32GB of ram, Has a server Motherboard You can instal 4 HDD in it. Its a professional computer Thats why they are Pricy. Its not your regular base pc.

I know what u say comparing to all in ones, but lets think. Mac Pro costs alot of money. When you compare that to the Base unit PC's its not worth it unless your an animation pro who needs 8 cores. However in Maya and 3ds max you can render on every computer on your network, and for the price of a mac pro with 8 core u can have 3 quad core pc's.

The Gateway ONE is very ugly. It's a big black box that isn't eye appealing. The Sony all in one is OKAY but not eye appealing and the HP that just sinks down the hole. Apple lagged quite a few times actually; with the old white iMacs for example. They were on sale for £800 for the almost bog standard whereas I bought a Dell Dimension with 3.5GB RAM, 2.4GHz, Nvidia 8800 GTS, 20" monitor for the same price. However the new iMacs are DEFINITELY the best value for money.
