@bcount1 im looking to get into the coast gaurd my self. My recruiter told me I have to score atleast a 45. But he said if your line score leads to a specific job then a waiver is possible.

He basically told me that all i had to try on was the reading, math, and word knowledge.
@gndswann1 There's no actual pass or fail. If your test was actually grading against right and wrong answers you may have got an 80, but not good enough. The AFQT score is a percentage of how many other people you scored higher than on that version of the test on a given day.

The great thing is that his videos are categorized within playlists. It is easy to know which video to watch next. This was the least I could do for him (let others know about his videos). Thanks to him, I got 97% on my Math test.

@cwj415 Test don't mean shit in real life. Some people who score mere 60-70 can become the best pilots or special forces ever. Standardized tests only look at a few outlooks of intelligence. You can still be the best even with a bad score on some piece of paper.
My ASVAB for the Marines is coming up soon. I'm a senior now and the school year is almost over. One problem, I forgot how to divide by hand and thats what's messing me up on the practice tests. I also don't know how to swim, but I'm about to get put in a swimming class, so I guess that'll handle that. But I still need help with my dividing by hand problem. <:(
@1dreamalways3 False, the asvab is out of 100. And ways to prepare is getting a practice book. Be able to work out the problems effectively without a calculator assisting you. Get a hold of your local recruiter and go to the recruiting station and take a practice to see how you do for a baseline estimate. And Navy Seals are ensigns not enlisted so you would have to go to OCS (officers candidate school) As well as chosen as a candidate for special forces I believe. Hope this helps
i took 2 practice test at military.com and got a 51..all i needed was a 50 to get into the kentucky national guard..and by the way there wasnt a math question like this one on the test..just sayin

Well he told me to go study and come back to have the test again lol. i took 2 practice test at military.com and got a 51..all i needed was a 50 to get into the kentucky national guard..and by the way there wasnt a math question like this one on the test..just sayin

i took a test for in a recruiting station. I got 18 and the recruiter gave me a " I'm shocked look" lol. I couldn't help but smiled lol. Well he told me to go study and come back to have the test again lol. They gave me English words and i was supposed to find words that have almost the same meaning, so i guess not all Americans are expected to know those words. I lost most part lol.

The easiest way is to find all the factors of both numbers, put the duplicates outside the square root, and multiply everything out.

Man I suck at math, doubt I'll have any problems with the other stuff. The fact my teachers allowed us to use a calculator all throughout high school probably won't help my cause (unless it's multiple choice =D). Looks like I may actually have to study for the first time in my life.
