  • Interesting about the women. It's a classic.

  • pussy whiped

  • I'm a man. I must say, I do believe women are far superior than we are. We men created the "tendency of civilization" to fullfill our sense of creation. Women create by themselves with the entirety of their body. I think Golding's point of view is magnificent and sincere. That "War of The Sexes" is ridiculous, we humans are just as we are to embrace acceptance of existences. Men are what we are and women what they are. Now, gotta go! I have to tell my girl how beautiful and marvelous she is ;)

  • @AlbinusMakedonion thanks for that. I'm of the opinion that men are what they are and women are what they are; better and worse are merely prompts to goad us to treat one another more decently. Honestly SOME men are better than SOME women and SOME women are better than SOME men - but as a sex? nah. There are some women who are far worse then most men (Lady Macbeth) and some men that are far worse than most men, too. Love your wife, honor your family, and pray for rain in a dry time.

  • @AbecedariusRex Thanks! :) I agree with you. Some humans are MORE or LESS than others in a physical and literary way: the differences between individuals, not a superficial position of machos and feminists just hanging around fighting upon official rights. Civilization's necessary, absolutely for both men and women, but it could be tricky. I think that what makes life as interesting as it is :D Greeting! This is one of my all-time favourite novels! It was wonderful to hear the man himself.

  • Good god he's brilliant

  • "Chased from hell to breakfast" - never before heard that phrase, never will forget it.

  • This honestly isn't anywhere near the reason he wrote it, it's because he was in World War 2, and discussing how Human-Kind is naturally evil, not good like many other "novels" display.

  • @Martyrofthefallen I suppose you're correct, though this is the man himself.

  • although I do like Golding's view on not having girls in the novel, it would be interesting if there were little girls as well, just a thought.

  • It is a miracle I was alive to hear his voice.

  • love this video "women are far superior"

  • @rozenheart Depends on the woman, I suppose. Though if we go by the philosophic principle that the last thing created is the first thing intended then Eve, not Adam, is the paragon of creation.

Check out my readings of Macbeth. You might enjoy them.

  • @AbecedariusRex

  • women are indeed far superior than men. :D

  • @rozenheart - you didn't chase the poor old chap from hell to breakfast in order to get him to confess it, i hope.
