an inversion is when you change the bass note to a different note of the chord. for example, a root position C Major triad is C E G. a 1st inversion C Major triad is E G C. and a 2nd inversion C Major triad is G C E.
The tip is that she's doing a ton of inversions with the left hand, and it really makes the song flow wonderfully. Trouble is I'm not coordinated enough with both hands to play much more than blues/boogie riffs
