John wrote this song because he was asked to write a song for the movie City of Angels, so after he viewed the movie he went back to his hotel room inspired and write the song in under an hour.

We don't exactly know cause he never came right out and said it, But he's still an amazing singer and always will be. His voice is alot better than the 2006-Early 2009 Period. I'm assuming its from singing this song so much and the fact the way you sing it like the record isn't good for your voice especially for how many times he sang it. Also smoking and aging are very common to do this aswell. I myself still think he's amazing and they will always be my #1 Fav Band in the world.

Absolutely awesome! What's amazing is how well these lyrics go with the movie it was made for (City of Angels) but can stand on their own as well.
Everybody "hiding" they like this song because "they look like fags" are insecure idiots. I'm mostly a metal fan, but I appreciate good music...this is good music (imo).

I find they really good... like oasis doesnt write emotional tunes that touch u,... they write like...huge hits... goo goo dolls, have a more human emotional feel to their songs, oasis write theses big hits that pick u up off your seat. both bands are amazing, oasis is still my favorite band :)
