  • when changing your peep what is the best way to take the old string off, or should i just have a shop do it so i dont muck up my string

  • I have a a sight with 3 pins and i aim using a peep sight. I am new to archery and would love to be an efficient hunter using my bow. When i aim with the peep sight, i am supposed to have the three pins in the center of the circle and have all the pins on my target? or just the pin i plan on using depending on my distance from the target?

  • great video ike as always and to the comment below if you move ur pins down you will aim more upwards causing the arrow strike to move up

  • @LTsurvivalskills Thanks i appreciate it.

  • I have three pins on my sites what should i set those pins at? i also shoot low and to the right why move pins lower if u shooting low?

  • Good stuff there , I always play more at 10 and get it a tad high at 12 o'clock and then go to 20 . Liked the "follow the arrow" explanation over how I tried to explain it to folks . If ya don't mind I think I'll be using that phrase too in the future .

  • awesome, helped a lot. I'm new to archery. I have a sight on my bow similar to yours. What are the yardage marks on the sticks or whatever. Like, I heard one is 20 ones 30 ones 40.

  • @Hoodwoodsbushcraft14 I like to have mine at 20,30,35,40,45,an 50

  • great video it helped alot. My bow is hitting dead on now thanks to this video.thanks agian

  • man, great vid! very informative and easy to understand even for me that dont speak much english!. keep em coming!!.

  • 11-06-11 Thanks for the video...I will be sighting in my new Quest G5 Primal Bow in about two hours...Thanks for the tips and the video on Quest Bows....

    Solid!

  • Move the whole sight down

  • Awesome video,

  • So I just had my draw length adjusted from 27'' to 29''. I was shooting it in my backyard, like I always do and my 20 yard pin at 20 yards missed the target low. Same went for my 30 and 40 yard pin. Now here is where I had my problem, I cannot move my pins any lower than they are now. So what do I do?

  • @jtschid0910 Sorry for the delayed response, I get flooded with youtube comments so it takes me a while to week through them. If you or anyone else is having this issue, I would suggest changing your anchoring point lower.

  • @jtschid0910 moving youre rest up a little bit or moving youre knock loop down will help

  • hi there, just move the whole sight down, i'm sure there is room for you to move it down.

    hope it helped !!

  • thank you the video was helpfull

  • Thank you for making it easy and simple....and it works.

  • thanks man ya soon as this wyoming wind stops ill be able to get it done lol i just started all this last year so im still new to it i mean i killed alot of stuff when i first got my bow then put a new sight on it though i had help from a guy last year sightin it in im tryin to getit all dwn my self u know but ill get there still have 2 months till bow season starts

  • i am havin a hell of a time sightin my bow in i put a new cobra sight on my bow and my 20 yd pin is killer but i cant seem to get my 30 40 50 60 any good the range i goto always sum wind is that a problem or am i movin my pins the wrong way

  • @bowhunter441 It could be a combination of both. just be sure when you are sighting in your bow to follow the arrow with your sight. So if you are shooting low, move your sight down, if you are shooting high, move your sight up, ect.

  • @ikesoutdoors well thats the answer to my problem

     thanks

  • @jtschid0910 i use a kisser and its good for me

  • Do you use a kisser button? Have you heard of anybody that uses one? Are they helpful for making you more accurate?

  • @jtschid0910 I do not use one. They always cause a sore where they touch my lip. I know a lot of people that do and have great success with them.

  • Can you sight a bow in front of a mirror by putting a sticker or dot with a marker and stand directly in front of the mirror and parallel with the dot?!! Very interesting!! Try it and see if it works!!

  • Thanks! My friend couldn't figure it out so he was gonna give me the sight, but I have since then bent my axles..

  • How do you sight in an adjustable sight? The ones with the dial type thing and one pin

  • @wheetley97 SIght it in like the video shows at 20 yards make a mark on your sight, move the dial so that the pins moves down move back to 30 and sight it in at this range make a mark on your sight and so on.

  • Thanks man, this video helped me out a lot. I went from shooting 6 in. groups to ripping my vanes off.

  • ive been shooting my bow for several years now without a knock ring and haven't really had any issues, but lately i noticed my serving getting worn from my release!! what are some pro's and con's of using a D-ring???

  • @8footpool If you d-Loop gets worn out you dont need a all new string

  • but if u sight in first and paper tune second arnt u changing the MOA because if the tear is off you move the rest which changes the MOA right? does paper tuning have to be done?

  • The change should be pretty small. So I get it sighted in and if I need to I'll fine tune my sights after tuning. I don't know if paper tuning is completely necessary if you walk back tune and broadhead tune. I do it because I want to put my bow through as much tuning as possible to get it as close to perfect as I can.

  • does paper tuning have to be done before sighting in? or is paper tuning just an extra that dosnt have to be done

  • I sight my bow in and then do all of my tuning.
