dude comics arent nerdy, people think so, but they're not. also, before you even start reading comics, learn the difference between "sunday strip" (like Calvin and Hobbes), "comics" (like Marvel, DC, and Darkhorse), and finally the best kind there is...graphic novels (like 300...yes that movie was based off of something BESIDES inaccurate history). read Scott McCloud's book "Understanding Comics" found most likely in the "comics" section of a library
