Not sure how it is affecting your distances. I changed my STS string stop on my older 2500 because my 80# limbs were tearing it up. I modified it with a lower stop. But it didn't affect my distances. I'm now shooting a 3800 with a upper and lower stop it corrected my problem.
I have a problem using my HHA at longer distances because of the STS string stop on my Darton pro 3500. Do you have this same problem? I though about taking it off but it makes it so much more noisy when i do.
Good vid and yeah it is tougher to shoot when your winded :) I do the same thing with a recurve. What kind of knocks do you use that glow up like a light bright for the long distance shots?
@GOBRAGH2 They are called Lumenok. I used them in the video so you can see the flight of the arrow. Pope and Young will not allow a trophy to be entered if they are used, I don't understand that one.
Great shooting. Excellent training regime and thanks for sharing it. I do similar as I found early on shooting on a flat range whithout physical effort was entirely different to shooting under hunt conditions. Go hard.
Thats some great shooting gus!! Man I was just wonder how you get such a great broadhead tune out at those yardges? I shoot slick tricks and past 55 yards my broadheads just fly way off to the right of the target....But from 1 yard to about 55 yrs there dead on.
@GusCongemi Magnums 100gr....I Have tried just about everything to get them to fly better and i just haven't found a way. Now I am in search of a better flying broadhead....
@BowtechBandit I set it up for Cape Buffalo and liked it. I have a 27" draw length so I don't get much speed from light poundages. I can shoot further with a heavy arrow and I don't have trouble drawing the bow.
I am looking at upgrading to either at 80bs monster 7 or a SR-71 in 80bs. What arrows are you currently using? I would love to try out a Darton, heard good things about the 3800 pro, but no dealer with 100 miles has one.
@gcstarr I heard the Monster is just that a Monster to shoot. Not anything good from the people I know who have them. It is smart to buy a bow from a local dealer if you don't work on them yourself. If you can set up your own bow you can order Darton on line. I shoot the Pro 2500 with 80 lb limbs. I hunt in some tough conditions and I like the 7" plus brace height. I shoot Easton full Metal Jackets 300 series. 11.2 gr per inch, small diameter not much wind drift. Great for down range shots

Nice shooting. The editing job is nice too. Good use of transitions and effects. Shooting like that is a result of trust in yourself and the equipment...nice.
Nice shooting. What kind of dog is the largest one in this video? Or is that a wolf?

@GusCongemi The string stop blocks my pin. I thought about doing some modification but i just wanted to know what you did.

I've used them they fly well but I don't like any expandable broadhead for long distance shots.

what about nap blood runners are they good out to that far

The quiver is called Vortxx made by New Dawn Archery. They have 5 and 6 arrow models, they might also make a 3 arrow.
GusCongemi 1 year ago
what kind of quiver is that? i like how compact it is... how many arrows will it hold?

@Bowhunner22 Icouldn't get them to fly over 50 yds. either. But try the Standard, it is a bit smaller but seems to fly a lot better over 50 yds.
GusCongemi 1 year ago
@GusCongemi Thanks I'll give them a try! Gus do you know of any other broadhead in the 100gr that will fly good out past 50yrds? Thanks
Bowhunner22 1 year ago
@Bowhunner22 Standards shoot great for me.....80 yards on the money.

@MrAnimalControl Thanks bro for the input. Good luck to you this season!

Gus how many pounds do you have your bow set at?
todddhel 1 year ago
@todddhel My bow is at 84bs. It has twin cams and I get as much speed as I got from my 90lb BowTech.
GusCongemi 1 year ago
@GusCongemi Why so much? It seems like overkill for anything but a bear.
