  • the title is wrong, the caspian tiger went extinct in the 1900's

  • its too late, you need a population of 5000 to have a chance the species will survive. its unfortunate that most of them are now a part of some stupid rich bitches coat she never wears

  • Let's hope they don't go extinct! I love felines, but the Lynx is by far my favorite!

  • I really hope you guys can save them. Lynx are just magnificent cats and the Iberians are by far the prettiest of the four Lynx genus. I hope you guys luck and if you need help in raising awareness just let me know.

  • can they be mixed with normal cats?

  • beautiful

  • It´s very nice!! If you want more information about the iberian lynx, you can look for this web page in facebook: Salvemos al Lince Ibérico / Save the Iberian Lynx

  • @hulabula13 I agree it is still wrong to hunt even if the population is above the average.

But this one is not the common european lynx, this is the iberian lynx. It is a different species.

  • so sad i love lynxes

  • my favorite animal in the whole wide world, *squeal* it is sooooo pretty!

  • That is one beautiful cat.

  • I think its little prey didn't have any chances... see how he grip and seized it?

  • One of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen.

  • i hear there are only 25 left!!!

  • Iberian LYNX !!!!!!!! search for "Felix Rodrigez de la Fuente" an spaniard naturalist who wet him self about this magnificent species

  • The most beautiful wild cat....

  • Darlings, I have seen the Caspian Tiger, South China Tiger, and Javan Tiger declared extinct forever (except for a few remaining South China Tigers in Zoos).

There will be more cats becoming extinct as humans dominate this planet for good. We have been here for only 200K and yet we modern humans have managed to destroy most life forms as the ultimate animal evolved thus far (even out competing other humans - H. Neanderthalensis, florensis, erectus).

  • Very beautiful. We should collectively do all we can to save such an animal. Not that it matters, but for the record, they're not big cats as it's suggested here.

  • My favourite specie...

    In risk of extinction

  • @Luvinhas

    because of us human beings!:(

  • Its not extinct yet!!!

  • @CinominFrost Only around 220 exemplars alive.... :(

  • Very beautiful animal, I would like to have it as a pet, but sadly that is not possible...

  • Is adopting one as a pet a good idea? Care and needs are not a problem. I guess my real question is what is the best way to help?Captive breeding? Rescue? Adoption? Education? How can we stop tree harvesting industries and urban expansion?

  • We believe the best way is through captive breeding and safeguarding lynx habitat.

Find out more in a recent story from our website 'Spain to give Portugal 20 Iberian lynxes'

  • Very beautiful. I will be ashamed for being a human if they extinct..

  • they are very beutiful but the humans that dont think r the ones to cause it to be endangered

  • At the time, some Lynx pardinus have born in captivity. But cars and hunters (they put envenomenated rabbits in lynx's environment to have more rabbits to hunt) are killing much more.

There are not much linxs in the wild, and captivity population grows so slow

  • ;-)

  • Very beautiful wildcat. The tufts on the side of the face that fans out and those yellow eyes makes this cat look stunning. Hopefully this cat will be saved from becoming extinct
