I think this vid works best (or at least it works best for me) if you think of it as metaphor. Of course Elizabeth's dad loved her first and he wants to protect her from harm, but you can't protect your kids from Life you have to let them live it. Jack represents adult Life and all it's perils and adventures. Elizabeth's dad knows he has to let his little girl grow-up and go on Life's adventure even though she will get hurt by it. But he hopes that Life will treat her kindly.

Sometimes you have to fiddle around with the framerate a bit. I have mine set to 90. Also, it depends on what you are recording the video off of. I can't capture off of Windows Media Player because it lags too much, but when I use Media Center it works perfectly :)

I was recording off of InterVideo WinDVD. I set mine to 100 which I think is as high as it will go.

no, he didn't. Davy's main goal was to kill Jack. He already thought that he killed Will when he sent him after the ship that rescued Will. The Kraken killed most of the crew men, and the survivors (expect Will of course) Davy's men killed. the Kraken just killed any one who got in his way.
