The Narwhals are deep sea divers and some of their main food is in the bottom of the ocean. In the floor of the ocean are many types of fish. Halibut or Turbot fish can hide in the soft sand. The Narwhal will search for these fish using the tip of their tusk by slightly scraping the sand in order to move the fish, then catching them as prey. if you look closely at the tip of the tusk, they are white and not covered with growth.

Is this from a new NatGeo Kids channel, because to my 24-year-old ears the narrator sounds very patronizing as if she is talking on some sort of children's show.
