His rhythm guitar work is really... well it's two things: chordally it's usually very boring, it's mostly just power chords and barres. But it's got a cool rhythmic quality to it that gives it a unique "Josh Homme" sound.

His lead guitar work is really weird, but I think it's a good strange, making notes that are out of key sound like they belong. I like it a lot though. It's a unique approach to solo/lead guitar.

I love Josh Homme's voice. One of My favourite tracks is "Make It Wit Chu" . I first heard it on The Desert Sessions, which is something Josh Homme does periodically with other musicians. He produces it himself and records it very quickly. The version on The Desert Sessions has PJ Harvey singing, so I found it fascinating to hear the version without her on the new record.
