  • Wow that is some awesome throat singing technique!

    It just blows me away!

  • Really is amazing isn't it :)

  • who is that on 3:09 i wonder...

  • I wouldn't know but definitly some noblelady...

    Thanks for watching :)

  • ulu TÜRK ulusu TUVA kutlu ol

    TANRI TUVA ULUSUNU KORUSUN

  • this music makes me wanna sit on a horse, take my bow and shoot at some pikeman

  • Lol, you might be hard pressed to find pikemen in this modern world but yeah, I know what you mean :D

    Best wishes

  • @magnvsmarcvs in ancient times horsebacks in the north are regarded as barbarians and subsequently was being unified by rulers with the much rich empire (China). alot of mongolians cultures were being influnced by china ever since Modu shanyu which tries to invade but failed until Temujin and the great Yuan dynasty. So please wake up

  • tibetian blood line belongs to South East Asians which is Chinese, Vietnam, Philipine and Island NAtions. DNA study

  • Well you are most likely right, I don't really keep up with the research that much, all I know is I admire their cultures :)

    Thank you for your information

  • @Urdunchimeg Well symmetry08 is incorrect.Because tibetan are sino-tibetan like the chinese such as O3a5 which in marker only common among chinese. Phillipines are largely decendant of austronesian bloodline with different haplogroups.Just like the mongols who are northeast asians but are genetically closest to siberian population, but mongols are not that closely related to other northeast asians.

  • Well I myself don't know very much about it so I do thank you very much for all the very interesting information :)

    Best wishes...

  • @symmetry08 Absolutely wrong.More accurate DNA studies shows that y-dna and mtdna of chinese, tibetan are genetically very different from other southeast asians. The haplogroup O3a5 is an sino-tibetan marker.Han chinese, tibetan including parts of north vietnam have close genetic relations. The phillipines are mostly austronesian with minority of han chinese admixture.

  • American Indians Navajo nation has similar dresses and attires. May be Tuva and Navajo people related?

  • I personally definitly think so, I see that especially Central Asian Shaman's ceremonial garb is very similar to the clothing of Native American tribes. The southwestern tribes though such as Hopi, Navajo etc I suspect are more closely related to Tibetans... Tuvans, Tibetans and Mongolians are all related so they are defintly al family :)

  • just to clarify Tyvans are Turks, though have large cultural and linguist borrowings from the Mongols

The Mongols themselves never claimed that Tuvans were part of their nation, often referring to them as Uriankhai - the northern 'forest people' who were seen as a difficult enemy because of the terrain over which they had to fight

  • Greetings, thank you for that information, very interesting...

    Best wishes :D

  • Now I know where they got the voice for Popeye

  • Lol, yeah its true that its the same technique used to create the popeye voice :)

  • tuva used to be part of mongolia. Our culture, custom, religion exact same. I wish Our countries would reunite

  • The culture!!!! This is the most important!!! Mongolia in the heart forever! Beautiful imagens... very, very interesting

Thanks for post this video on youtube. The world wanna know the Mongolian culture! I´m sure.

  • Yes, its a beautiful culture! Thank you for your words, Mongolian and Tuvan culture is indeed a treasure to share with the world!

  • Your not Mongolian? But your name almost sounds like Mongolian...

  • Your not Mongolian ? Your name sounds almost Mongolian. :O

  • I don´t know why, since a long time I became so fond of Mongolia and its people! I find them beautiful, attractive, nice. As for this kind of music/singing, I think I started knowing a bit of it some 15 years ago, and I presume I notice some (not much) difference between Tuvan rhythms and Mongolian ones, maybe due to some recordings (CDs) or some (so rare here) videoclips too that I could appreciate here. - Is Professor Sundii still alive?

Great post. All the best to you!

  • I also am very fond of Mongolia, people and culture. I also love Tuvan culture, such beautiful music. I am not Mongolian, and I am afraid I cannot answer your question concerning Prof. Sundii, thank you for your interest and your kind words,

    Best wishes :)

  • Tnx 4 reply. All the best to you too.

  • @TheMaraozao : Sundui, the great hoomii singer from Chandmani sum is no longer in our world...

  • Amazing music. The music of my ancestors!

  • It is beautiful music! You must be proud of your ancestors!

    Be well :)

  • I am! Thanks for posting bro!

  • I am glad you enjoyed it :D

  • Throat singing is one of the most beautiful forms of music...and I was raised on European classical, and I nevertheless can sense the meditative beauty of throat singing.

  • Yes, it really is a beautiful and very unique form of music, I am happy that you also enjoy and appreciate this wonderful music and culture :)

    Best wishes!

  • Turks, Mongols, Tatars and many others are relative Turkic communities. The common perception in the west that Turks belong to Arabic-Muslim culture is a big misperception and a false stereotype. Turks are originally Shamanic people of Central Asia and women have equal rights with men in the society. Conversion to Islam of Western Turks (Today's Turkey) is nothing but a political positioning. Infact Turks have applied a light version of Islam keeping their Shamanic traditions and rituals.

  • Yes, you are right, that is a common misconception from most people. The Turks are indeed from central Asia and practiced a shamanistic religion. They converted to Islam much later. Most people also tend to think that all the Muslims in the world are Arabic or Middle Eastern which is quite mistaken.

Thank you for your comment and I hope you enjoyed the video :)

    Best wishes...

  • what is the name of this song???????

  • Lol, yeah you'r right, the star wars costume designers used alot of asian influences for their designs. Alot of the Jedi costumes were modled after Japanese clothing and of course Queen Amidala's outfit was modled after traditional Mongolian dress.

  • Yes it is true that there is much intermarriage and races are not "pure" anymore, but I would appreciate it if you would please express your opinions not in a hostile way. Thank you and best wishes to you.

  • Dear Urdunchimeg, thanks for this wonderful reply! I feel what you said is so valid for all the cultures of our globe! :-) Humanity may be likened unto the vari-colored flowers of one garden. There is unity in diversity. Each sets off and enhances the other's beauty. ('Abdu'l-Bahá, Divine Philosophy, p. 25)

  • Im glad we agree :D Thank you for your valuable input, I hope that anyone who watches this video will take note of your remarks.

    Be well :)

  • This is a great video, Urdunchimeg! At least by watching this video and others as well I can "travel" through Central Asia, which otherwise would be impossible...

I am amazed by the closeness of the Tuvan and Mongolian cultures. They must have been influencing each other in many directions over the centuries!

Thanks a lot from a German admirer of Central Asian culture living in Albania! :-)

  • Yes the two cultures are very similar, and like you said they have been influencing each other, but we must also remember that they do have their differences and they are two distinct cultures as well, which makes our experience of these cultures even more rich :)

    Thanks for watching and enjoying

    best wishes ;)

  • Their origin is Tannu-Urianhai which is connecting west mongolian origin Oiarad! Language is old Uighur &Mongol version.

Culturally much near to mongolian than any other nation!

Governed by Mongolian empire 1207-1757, occupied by Manchu (nation which were ruled China but completely different origin than main Han-Chinese) later, then late 19 early 20 century invaded by Russian , forced to become Russian autonomy since then

  • Very informative and fascinating, thank you for that valuable information :)

  • You could sense the wild spirit from those melodies, spirit of the endless step and great mountains.

  • Yes you certainly can, thats why I love it :)

    Best Wishes
