Lady of the Lakes is the oldest of our big diesels and is mostly confined to hauling works trains and the occasional passenger train meaning she doesn't go out as much as some of the other loco's. She is also the latest loco to be refurbished and repainted which is probably why she looks the cleanest.
was walking my dog yesterday and say madbess and saw lady of the lakes. Lady looked stunning yesterday. Everytime I see it it is always clean and really shiny and the most shiny out of all the loco's. Evan when I have ride on the train or walking the dog it always stands out compared to all the other locos. Evan though the other locos look really smart when they seem to have attention or worked on. Is lady of the lakes your heritage flaggship loco on the line hence why it always looks nice?
Madbess is my favourite loco for the main reason that it is the only steamer in the whole ruislip fleet
